I wasn't sure how it would be staying in Alvarado Holiday Inn since I live down the street but since it's graduation weekend I booked in advance. I arrived late and called to confirm my reservation.[More]
Mike at the front desk was very polite and helpful. When I arrived the check in process was very fast and efficient. I had booked two rooms and they were kind enough to put the two rooms side by side regardless of me coming in late. Thank you. The rooms were clean and spacious (2 queen suites) with extra sofa beds. There were microwaves and fridge in each room which was the reason I booked a suite. I didn't personally ate for the breakfast but my family members were very please about it.
There was a little discrepancy about the quoted price on the app IHG to the actual price I paid for. The hotel was kind enough to call and tried to find the discrepancy and I thought that's the kind of customer service that has been lost to many hotel groups.. Though after The hotel informed me that "if I put more than 2 people per room it would cost extra" I realized what I did. It was the app, the first time I used the app for IHG. I put 4 people and 2 rooms, as in 2 people per room but I think I should have put 2 people and 2 room meaning 2 people per room. It was confusing. Though that is not the hotel's fault I just wished I was made aware about whether the number of guests was per room or total number of guests.
Over all my family members had pleasant time at the hotel. It was a good experience and I will recommend this hotel to everyone for next time families are coming into town and if they're IHG members to mind the guest numbers mishap.
