Hotel had some repair work going on so it was noisy

No complaints whatever with the room or the service. We got the room we'd asked for - view of the hill and away from the elevators.
We thought the price was too high for attending a meeting and just sleeping in the room, otherwise we were as pleased as could be.

This hotel has the advantage of its location...otherwise, it would not be my choice. The accommodations are clean and fresh, but they have a serious problem with key staff and the food is awful. We had booked a 2-day meeting for a large staff including lodging, conference rooms and catered meals.The woman at the front desk was not helpful or welcoming. In fact, she was outright rude -- many people commented on her. So was the waitress in the bar in the afternoon. The event staff and morning waitresses were good, but the front desk treatment soured the experience. I travel to Helena often and will not stay at this property if I can help it.

Iv been going there for some time and its the last time. Worst Holiday inn iv stayed at. Front deck manager was so rude.

This hotel is an older hotel that could benefit from some renovations. Other than that - everything about the place and about our stay was superb:
The staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Karlee went out of her way to assist when we ran into a problem! We were always greeted upon our entry to the hotel! I noticed that other guests were treated extremely well - with patience, understanding and courtesy.
We have stayed at another high-end hotel in Helena and it doesn't even come close to matching the hospitality at the Holiday Inn Downtown!
The Holiday Inn is centrally located - close to wonderful restaurants, shopping, historical places of interest - all within walking distance!
We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown in Helena, Montana!
Thank you to everyone there who made our stay so enjoyable!
And... just as an aside... the best nachos in town are served in the Bar and Grill at the hotel!!

Great bed and decorated room with convenient WIFI.
Nice place for a conference also.

Having stayed in exclusively Holiday Inns for over 25 years, I was disappointed in this property. It was clearly older and can certainly use a facelift. While I cannot say there was any one thing that was particularly bad, I am sorry I did not stay at the Holiday Inn Express by the airport. It is newer and, i understand, better.

We enjoyed the convenience of location of this Holiday Inn. The event we went to Helena for was literally right outside the front door! I would definitely come to the same location for the same event.
