This was a bank holiday evening so the hotel was not busy, so I got a room upgrade even though the price I paid was low. I have stayed here before & it was equally as good. I would always choose to stay here if I can do so at reasonable cost. April 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal break We were looking for a Hotel near Aylesbury and Oxford, great location, The Hotel was clean and tidy our room was modern and comfortable. We only used the dining facilaties for breakfast but the food & service was excellant. The staff were great only to willing to assist with any request. On the whole the only thing missing from this establishment to make it the perfect break was a pool & leisure centre. otherwise it was the ideal break. If we were in the area again we would definately consider returning to this hotel. April 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff & Relaxing Atmosphere The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bar area is great for catching up with work coleagues and also ideal to conduct meetings. I would happy to stay here again as the location is excellent and if you do choose to eat out then the choice in Marlow is very good. One negative point is that the scrambled egg at breakfast appears to be that powdered egg which is disgusting and ruins the traditional cooked breakfast. March 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Review I have stayed at the Holiday Inn High Wycombe, many times. It is a very convenient place between the Midlands and the North, on the one hand, and then London. The issues I have with this stay are: 1. Dinner was very poor in quailty. 2. Service was odd. The Manager of the restaurant cramped everyone into a small part of the room making dining a very bad experience. 3. Breakfast was very average and well rubbish. I am a regular user of the IHG Hotels across the world. This was a very poor stay. It did not even have the compensatory factor of being cheap as it was not. March 12, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just an average stay, No hot water huge let down I stayed on Business on 16/02/13 . Hotel Good location Very easy to get to off the M4. Arrived 9pm, asked for upgrade and was told unavailable due to Hotel being full which was evident. Was given offered 500 pc points vs drinks voucher - opted for Pc points for being plat member. A long Walk to my door with 3 heavy bags and the key card did not work! Back to reception to have it recoded - receptionist had no clue why it had happend. Made it to the room eventually was very small and compact - however fairly clean. the next morning jumped into shower - no hot water! Went down stairs breakfast was decent buffet - but not sure value for money. Check out was a fairly smooth process, did mention to reception regarding no hot water, and her reply was " thanks for letting us no".... emailed the hotel in the evening regardign not being happy with the Hot water situation, and was given an apology. I had to reply to ask for a form of compensation and was evenutally given 3000 PC points as a gesture. Conclusion Hotel was decent , had its pros and cons but the hotel water situation was un acceptable service, and pretty sure it wasnt worth 3000 PC points. February 20, 2013

The room we had was comfortable if a bit "Bijoux", but clean and decorated well. The in room coffee set up wasn't great but luckily Starbucks is downstairs. My only wish was that there was a cash point in the lobby. Otherwise perfect over night stay. February 16, 2013

I mentioned it was my birthday and we where thinking of eating out, but the staff convinced us to try there oriental buffet which was great value and delicious and then did a 'TGI Style' Birthday song for me! Many thanks for the great food, service and being sport enough to have a laugh :) February 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost Perfect Very nice Hotel with good service, excelent rooms. Even additional heaters were employed in the rooms, just in case the normal heating would not be enough (wich it was) to cover for a cold weather period. Only "bad" points: Although reservation was made in writing, all adress information had to be filled out again upon arrival - this should be transferd onto the form. On Checkout staff was not able to create a reciept that covered all items (additional paid breakfast was not to be found in the computer). Rooms had extra sound-proof windows, so no noise from the adjacent highway was heard, however door to the room was so thin that noise from adjacent opening and closing doors was easy to be heard. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Visit We decided to use a hotel for our Xmas visit and this Holiday Inn is only 3 miles from our son's house. Best decision we have ever made. We had freedom of movement from a relaxed but efficient hotel. My only reservation is the lack of free WiFi which is very common elsewhere in the world...including any Starbucks. The hotel promotes Starbucks but charges for WiFi. Shame. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. The rates were also excellent considering it was the Christmas holidays. PS. Thank you to the staff for the Christmas card.....a nice touch. December 30, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good for value our stay at the holiday inn was ok,first of all started off that there was a promblem that apparantly they couldnt order us a taxi when we were already running late,thats why we phoned ahead to avoid having to wait a further 15 sorted in the end though. the taxi firm that they used which was only a 15 min drive cost us £30 which we thought was disgusting. when we finally got back to our room which was around 10pm,we ordered the romantic package which includes two people.we only got 1 bath robe and slippers,and 1 complimentry mars bar even though theres two people staying in the the glasses that were left with the bottle of wine 1 of them was filthy, still had someones else lipstick mark wasnt very happy about that. then when we went to order our evening meal,which the place was completely empty,we ordered chicken curry,when i tucked in to it ,it was frozen in the middle,which then we found out it was a micro wave meal,the popadums were completely drowned in thick oil,they offered to pay for 1 dessert. at this point we'd had enough,which was ment to be a nice night away for me and my partner turned in to nothing but things going wrong,we was happy that we'd found such a nice hotel with a really good deal.but was this really worth it? when we got up and went for breakfast,we had to approach the lady after waiting for about 10 mins to get our tea and coffee,when i made some toast it set on fire and popped out completely black,appart from that the breakfast was ok. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied customer. Not a beautiful hotel to look at, but offers good rooms and a good location for touring the surrounding area. We booked early as a Priority Club member and got a room at a great discount (no breakfast). Room was very good in all respects and well worth what we paid. We did not use the restaurant, but the evening food looked good and there were quite a lot of people eating in. All the staff we came into contact with were very pleasant and helpful. We will stay again when we visit the area, and recommend the hotel especially if you book early. TIP: become a Priority Club member and get the benefits that go with it. November 21, 2012

Room was on inner courtyard side so away from M40 and busy A404 ( and therefore quiet). May not be so on road side. Ate in restaurant - very good food and value. Breakfast good value too. staff all friendly and the restaurant/bar staff were excellent. Overall you could stay cheaper in a more basic place , but the extra £10/20 here is worth it. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by One of the worst rooms we have stayed in We stay in hotels in the UK regularly and I have to say that room 130 was easily one of the worst I have ever stayed in in the UK. Ancient decor and very low level of comfort in the bedroom. Bathroom had been upgraded and shower good. Come on Holiday Inn get this hotel upgraded! On plus side small Starbucks franchise provided breakfast every morning and drinks were better than a main Starbucks. Staff in hotel friendly just let down by room. November 5, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not great... Bit disappointed with the room at this particular hotel. My room had an ajoining door that was very poorly sound-insulated. When I was trying to sleep, the room next door clearly wanted to watch TV, but it sounded like their TV was on my bedside table! Restless night, then their alarm clock went off and it was louder than mine..! Not relaxing and the next day's business was somewhat of a struggle. The food was very good, though. October 14, 2012
