I have previously stayed at this hotel before to utilize the hot springs, located in Jasper, and it was nice because of how close it is. April 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff As a family we decided to travel to Jasper for the Family Day long weekend. I searched the Holiday Inn website and was surprised they still had room to accommodate us and our four legged friend. We had a later start in the day and ran into some horrible weather- yes, this is Alberta and arrived at 10:00pm on Saturday night. The Staff at the Holiday Inn Hinton were so helpful they saved our room for us and made us feel extremely welcomed after our stressful journey. Our family pet was welcomed and my daughters loved the swimming pool with waterslide. Barb at the front desk even took the time to print off some family day activities for us to do on Sunday & Monday. Thank you all we will be back again soon. F. Olson February 24, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Everything was GREAT with exception of the hotel food Our stay was great as it has been in the past at this location in Hinton. The staff always seem to go above and beyond what we need. On a number of occasions have offered to take care of things for us before we even had a chance to even think about what we might need. And the nice pool area (pool, hot tub, sons, water slide) was a great refresher for me and great fun for my son. The food on the other hand has some major issues in all things related to beef. We had 5 meals over the course of 3 days. I personally had 3 completely different beef dishes over the 3 days, lasagne, hamburger, and meatball sub. All three on different days were all exactly the same, extremely dry, rough, and flavourless. It was almost like eating saw dust. The other food issue we had was with the Cinnamon French Toast. I had it the first morning and it was AWESOME. Very thick and very tasty. My mother-in-law had it the next morning after my wife and I raved about it. It arrived for as two cinnamon buns with syrup, not french toast, but buns! Most of the other food items (non-beef) we had were much like you'd expect from a side-of-the-highway dinner. Not very good quality but will fill the hunger pains. It's strange to have that much of a quality disconnect from the hotel and its restaurant. It's very convenient to order in to your room, which is what we did most of the time so I hope that this is something that can be improved upon. We have stayed at a few other Holiday Inn locations in North America and most that have restaurants where about 2-3 star. I'm not expecting a 5 star restaurant, but at least a 2-3 but certainly not a 0.5 or 1. Hope this help. ~~~Robert (stayed Nov 25-28, 2012) December 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great room and pool I didn't pre-book but when i arrived staff were very helpful and friendly. I was offered a breakfast coupon and provided with information about amenities in the hotel. The pool was nice if a little cold. Hot tub was great and the pool area was nice and clean. Breakfast service was fast and food was excellent. October 8, 2012
