Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed i did not stay at holiday inn at 2905 sheridan street because of family problem, although i stayed in above inn several times before. i called the manager"shaun" twice and told him of circumstances, but he declined to help me out of this jam. i understand the policy of nonrefundable funds ,but asked him if he could honor this fund for my next trip to hollywood january 2014,but he still refused. i am happy with the accommodations and i will try to stay in your hotel in future. have a nice holidays and merry christmas. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff We had a two night stay here on a recent trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming...makes you feel that they are happy that you came. Check-in was quick and easy and they called shortly after to see that everything was OK. The room was comfortable and the bed was fine...not too soft and not too hard. A bed table lamp bulb went out and I called the front desk to see if I could just go down and pick up a new one. Instead they said that they would send someone up and within 5 minutes maintenance arrived and took care of it. Great service! A nice patio is in the back of the hotel. There is ample parking. A relative negative was the pricey continental breakfast with extra charge for orange juice. On balance, this is a nice, no frills hotel with good value for the cost. We recommend it and would certainly stay here again. November 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty place without comfort A leaking problem was in the toilet, so sleep was quite difficult since a was able to hear each drop falling. Also, in the area of breakfast buffet a "little" incident happened with the candles that keep the food warm, that finished in fire which was extinguished, but the employees did not seemed concerned about it. Actually the food was not removed.... . When I tried to report it the lady at the front desk was not kind at all. She said that the manager will call me, and that never happened. November 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff At the airport I found out that my luggage didn't arrive on the same flight as I did. It would arrive on the next flight around midnight and be delivered early in the morning at the hotel. The staff at the hotel took care of everything. They provided me with the things I needed for the first night and when my luggage arrived (while I already checked out), they kept it for me so I could pick it up later. Great service! The room was great and the bed was very comfortable, but it was very noisy outside. November 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay, but since you asked... Check-in a breeze, the rooms spacious and clean, pool area very nice - sun and shade. Value good. Ate breakfast across the street at Denny's. Lots of local places right nearby for lunch/dinner. Publix super market less than 1/2 mile away for water etc. to keep in room fridge. 2 of the 3 staff were excellent, 1 not so friendly and a little sharp with me. Important point: we stayed for 3 nights which meant 2 room cleanings. On both occasions, my 87 year old father's room was not cleaned until after 2:30 (closer to 3) which is exactly when he wanted to rest. Had to call front desk and then just took fresh towels and skipped the rest. You NEED to request when you want your room done by or it could be late and last. Lastly- I did get a "thank you for rewards member" but no welcome bag- typically a bottle of water and a granola bar or something- long travel day when arriving - so disappointment there. In doing so it was 3 am before they finally moved my room. My only suggestion would be: move the customer ASAP and deal with the room later. October 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newly remodeled and great staff! Was in town on business but the hotel was all pleasure. The manager on duty upgraded my room due to my status, without me asking, and then called after I had time to get settled to make sure I was happy. The downstairs bar area had sports on the big screen and the drink prices were definitely reasonable for that location of Florida. Conveniently located near the airport with shuttle service, I will definitely stay there again when I'm in SE Florida. October 21, 2013

My wife & I stay at the Holiday Inn when we visit the Hollywood Hard Rock Casino as it is a short drive to the casino & offers a comfortable, amenity laden quality room for a fair price. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel with a nice pool We stayed in this hotel after a cruise vacation. This hotel is convenient and has access to all major highways. The rooms are very nice with all the necessary amenities, including a mini fridge. However, I have to state that the air conditioner is a major problem here. Our room had occupancy sensor installed that made my nights miserable. I had to wave my hand almost every half hour in order for the A/C to work, otherwise it will shut down and you will begin sweating. I recommend the administration to fine tune this system or otherwise find another way to save on electricity. I will not stay here again unless this problem is fixed. August 4, 2013

The lobby could use some new furniture and the breakfast buffet was redundant and not very hot, but overall the value was worth the stay and I will return two months from now. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No attention to detail This hotel appeared nice but had absolutely no attention to detail by the management. There were no plugs in the room that were easily reachable for a computer charger (the one on the lamp on the desk is set up to not take a large connector). When the ice melted from the ice machine there were numerous black flecks left in the bucket and in my glass. No towels in the gym at 7:30 in the morning. I ordered some food and a beer in the bar. When the bartender brought the food she didn't even bring a napkin or silverware. I was out of my room from 10 am to 4:30. The maid stopped by at 5:15 to clean by which time I told her to skip it. When I went to check out at 4:15 am for a 6 am flight there was nobody behind the desk. I called for someone but no one was around for a full five minutes. I left my key with a note to email the bill. 24 hours later, still no bill. I called and asked for it to be emailed. I gave my email address despite being a Platinum member with email on account. Still didn't receive the bill. Finally had to download it from the website. August 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Great Hotel I am guessing that over the years I have stayed at this property in excess of 100 times. If I were to guesstimate how many times I have had an issue, I would say maybe two or three, and they have never been related to the staff or the cleanliness. Once was for the main elevators not working and I had to ride in the service elevator. The other two times were for the Internet being down. All three times, the staff bent over backwards to help me out. They have the queen of the hotel employees working here. Her name is Lucy and she is the first and foremost reason I come back. I am disappointed if she is on vacation or off, but I assure you, her hospitality has rubbed off on the rest of the staff. I also enjoy interacting with the management. They are always hands on to a problem, checking to be sure it was cleared p, without being too evasive. The food has at the restaurant was adequate until about 5 years ago, but now it is excellent. The pool is the best in a Florida hotel outside of Orlando. The location of the hotel in relation to the beach and shopping is outstanding and there is a movie theatre within walking distance. Hollywood Beach, probably the most underrated in the state, is only a few miles away. If you wast to stay at a great hotel in Florida that is not on the beach, but close to the action, come see Lucy and the staff at Holiday Inn on Sheridan!!! June 28, 2013

Our last stay included a 5:45am fire alarm activation which was repeated after about 10 minutes of the first alarm. No announcement was made, when I called the front desk, the woman who answered curtly stated false alarm and then hung up. When I inquired later at the front desk and spoke to the manager on duty, his reply was not my fault and then dismissed me. We will be staying at another property on our next visit to Hollywood. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by If you love cigarette smoke and indifference from GM - this is the place smoking is allowed in this "non-smoking" hotel at each end of every floor outside an exit door so the smoke comes right back into the hallway and into your room through the door. Housekeeping is very lackluster and my bed was never made! Would never recommend this place for a non-smoker or anyone looking for an apology for lack of expected services. overpriced for what you get! April 20, 2013
