The hotel is in great location,near the MTR station ,very suitable for family with young children. The staffs are helpful and and speak English well so we did not find any difficulties to communicate with them. Their hospitality erase our image of old HK people style. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location The prime benefit of staying at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile was that it was conveniently located with easy access to the MTR and Star ferry and walking distance to many restaurants and malls & shops. The front office staff were courteous and efficient. The carpets in our room was in need of a change as it gave a strong mossy odour which gets circulated in the air-conditioning and makes it uncomfortable. The service in the restaurant Bistro on the Mile was not of high standard and the attitude of the staff was generally not pleasant. Overall a fair experience but I feel the management can do more in order to make it a "value for money" experience for the guest. January 6, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel for seeing Hong Kong, great for children The hotel's location was the primary reason we decided on it - right on top of the Tsim Sha Tsui metro station, providing us with central access to nearly all of Hong Kong. Octopus cards for the metro completed that option, making traveling around effortless. However, when we arrived we were impressed by the hotel itself. Not that we expected anything bad, but the staff were very friendly and courteous, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The free shuttle connecting to the airport express, helpful concierge with maps and suggestions, and easy walking distance to the harbour (just a few blocks, easily accomplished by even our 4 year old) all were pleasant discoveries. We had three small children with us and the hotel staff were kind and engaging with them as well, so it felt very family friendly. The few times we tried room service, the food was excellent and prompt, but there are numerous restaurants in the area as well. The price was a bit expensive compared to my expectations, but compared to others in Hong Kong it was reasonable and I believe I was in part a victim of the exchange rate back to my home currency (can't help that). If I had it to do all over again, I would **absolutely** come back to this hotel. January 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 闹中趣静 来HK办事为了方便。步入大堂就感觉到HK为何如此的繁华热闹。接待小姐很热情的为我办理的入住手续,并告之了我所提出的问题。感觉非常好。进入房间后设施很齐全,床特别舒适,赞一个。 本来只安排一晚,感觉不错又留下了一晚。享受了完美的早餐。遗憾的是没有吃到晚餐, 去的时候被告之没有预定已经没有位置。(酒店的餐厅不优先住店客人,困惑不解)。 麻烦酒店客房工作人员, 我是否有遗落在房间的东西。谢谢! December 18, 2012

However, the shuttle bus from airport was under the hotel name, but the bus driver stopped the bus in the street, and asked me to carry my 3 luggages walked cross the street to the hotel, and told me because hotel didn't allow him to stop the bus in front of the hotel!!! How come! The worst was that day was in hard rain! December 13, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HK-Business Trip I recently statyed at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile while traveling on business from the US. My first experience in a Holiday Inn in Asia, and was impressed. The doormen were all knowledgable and helped me find my way when I needed direction on where to go as this was my first trip to Hong Kong and needed to be pointed in the right direction a few times. I will most likely stay here again and stay on the executive floor again as I liked the very personal touch that added including the staff remebering my name. The breakfast was overall good. The staff are incredibly friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. This extends into the kitchen, where a special request was not only executed without issue, but l even received a follow up phone call to ensure l enjoyed their interpretation of the request. So far, I am only able to find a room with 2 beds and each bed is in full to queen size in Holiday Inn Golden Mile. Also, hotel service is always excellent. December 10, 2012

Staff were very efficient and helpful. Since I was a Platinum Priority club member, I was pleasantly upgraded to a suite and complimentary WiFI access. All round fantastic 2 nights stop over. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room, but was not greeted as priority club member Upon check in, in my previous experiences with Holiday Inn Hotel, I was always greeted as a Priority Club Member, provided with Member's privileges. To my surprise, this time, they don't even acknowledge me as a member and I need to search through my e-mail to find out my membership number. No wifi was provided, so only after I get into a wifi in Hari's Bar, I can proof my identity as a member. This experience shows very poor attitude from the check in staff. They should've been more prepared when a Priority Member is due to arrive. The room and other services are very good though. Full marks for this. The room was very spacious. December 1, 2012

(2) Room is the best within this area, spacious and full equipped, even with an iron. (3) Staff really friendly and helpful. I will come back when next trip to HongKong for sure. The only cons I can find out is hard to find the entrance from subway station, looks like a shopping mall from outside. November 23, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A traditional, full service Holiday Inn The Golden Mile is a property that has managed to keep some of its competitive edge in Hong Kong despite the arrival of "lower end" HI Expresses and "higher end" Crowne Plazas on the market. I have been a customer there since the 90s. In recent years, The Golden Mile has not been so frequent as earlier, but is the choice if, for example, there are late evening events in the area. The catering side is excellent, the Breakfast Buffet offers more variety than those of some of the Crowne Plazas in Hong Kong. The Club lounge feeds you well albeit there is no view to watch. I am careful to notice what has been cancelled and what added. The Bfast buffet at the Golden Mile has maintained its value. And there are some "service icons" left. I should mention the lady meeting the customers at the Breakfast Buffet. I think her English publicity name is "Liz", the real name in Cantonese, of course, is something else, as customary in Hong Kong. She recalls long time customers and often has a friendly comment. I must add that the hotel is not easy to recognize on the Nathaan Road side. Some years ago the corner windows were given over to other enterprises and the sign for Holiday Inn is visible only directly above the entrance. I presume the hotel thinks most customers arrive using cabs or shutlles. I belong to the minority that uses the MTR and the busses. If booked to stay at the Golden Mile, the easiest way from the Airport is bus A21, It takes you almost to the door, and costs a fraction compared to the Airport Express - that then requires a shuttle to be used and that waiting time added to the overal travel time.
