I've stayed at this location once before and as a Platinum Elite member, the acknowledgment when checking in this time seemed like an after thought and scripted--not even a bottle of water , snack, or breakfast voucher offered.
My wife and I went out for dinner (this was a Saturday night get-away) and when we returned there was not a single parking spot available. including along the curbs. I asked the desk clerk what was going on and was told they booked an event in their meeting room and attendance was bigger than they anticipated. I will choose another location next time or at least ask if they have an event booked.

This was an overnight stop on the way to our destination. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and this time did not disappoint. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Close to the mall and many restaurants. Easy access from the interstate. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

One of the better Holiday Inns I've stayed in. The establishment appears to be new and has a fresh feel to it. Located along a corridor with many restaurants and food options to include a mall with a decent food court. Overall, the hotel is superior to most establishments in the area.

This is one of the better Holiday Inn hotels I have stayed in. Very nicely decorated lobby and guest room. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well due to the quietness of the hotel. It is a very solidly built building.
The lounge/restaurant was a good place to grab something to eat, along with an adult beverage. The food was good and reasonably priced for a hotel.
The staff of the hotel and restaurant were all courteous and accommodating.
The area the hotel is in (Hoover) is a great suburb of Birmingham. A large, upscale mall/shopping area, and many restaurants are within a few minutes drive.
I would definitely recommend this hotel; and will stay here again if I return to the area.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Souperman Nice stay but not for the area
Right up the road is a Marriot that has free dinner and beet at night with rooms that are equal to if not better than the Holiday Inn at the same price. I do a lot of trips to Birmingham and would prefer to say there than the Holiday because of the free dinner and drinks. Also, the hot breakfast served was room temperature at best. Everyone I worked with recommended other hotels in the area due to the extra amenities but all were booked due Easter. I would suggest a more competitive service if that the public opinion of the Birmingham Holiday Inn.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mom2mermaids Clean facility, comfortable bed, poor staff
Room service choices were limited. Front desk staff was not welcoming nor did they thank us for staying. Extremely noisy room above ours. Had to call front desk twice and still did not quieten down for about and hour. Did not receive value for price of our stay.

My first impression of this hotel was the convenience of finding it and safety of parking. The outward appearance was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional. I was very pleased with the quietness of the room, cleanliness and choice of coffee. There was not a long wait for accessing the elevators. The area is tops for shopping, nice restaurants etc. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
