This hotel is one of many choices near the Hobby airport. It was reasonably priced and reasonably equipped. Like several other hotels in the area this Holiday Inn is quite dated on the inside sort of a like a step back to the early 80's. However if you need a place to sleep it's perfectly fine. The room also did reasonably well regarding the overall noise. Staying near the airport can be a bit risky in terms or noise pollution but my room fared well. My only problem was I paid for the breakfast rate and at 9:20 called down to find out the restaurant had closed. I asked if there was any recourse and they said no. No offer to provide a discount or offer anything in compensation. Just something for other travelers to be aware of. Be early or miss out! Otherwise this is a good stop over if you need to stay in the Hobby airport area.

This hotel is pretty typical for the area around Hobby airport. location is good if you want to remain near the airport. hotel and room are like stepping back to the early 80's. so in dire need of an update. the bed was comfortable and the room comfortable in general. ac unit worked fine and the bathroom was fine. room did reasonably well regarding external sound which is important when next to the airport. one note of annoyance i paid for the breakfast rate but when checked at 9:20 was told it was too late. no compensation was offered when asked. otherwise all in all a good stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kris L Great loation, free shuttle, would stay again
Stayed here prior to a cruise. Everything was great except the bar/restaurant opens at 5pm, and we wanted to watch football at 1pm after we had checked out and were waiting for our late shuttle. The lobby TVs (3 of them) can only be on CNN. Other than that, this hotel is very nice. Great staff. Rooms were big. Not disturbed by the airport at all and it is right across from the runway. Would recommend.

It is an older hotel which is past the time when a remodel is over due. We slept well, because we were tired, the wake up call was 15 minutes late and consisted of a 1 ring notification. I was up so it wasn't needed, thank goodness.
Usually when you have a breakfast available, before they begin serving you are able to et coffee, not here. They kept doors locked, lights out, and no coffee available before the hour open. Not like other hotels.

The hotel is a bit dated. but very clean. Upon check-in, Kristine of the Front Office was very helpful in orienting us on hotel amenities and how to get around the area. She coordinated well in dispatching the shuttle service for our needs and made our short stay pleasant.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bajmm Good location, great staff
This was a great location for our visit, close to our son, The hotel needs some updating, it's getting to look kind of old, but it's clean and comfortable and we got a good price on priceline. I'm hoping they do some updating in the near future because we'll probably be travelling to Houston once a year to visit. Staff was great, took care of some minor problems we had right away. So for the price we got it, it was fine, would not pay full price unless it gets some updates.
