Rooms are very dirty and outdated, A/C doesn't work properly, the bathrooms are very dirty. The front desk didn't do anything to fix any of the situations I brought to their attention. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable I've been at this hotel a few times for buisness, and I am never disappointed. Its nothing extravagant, but it is clean and I have always been comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous and the shuttle is very convenient. I didn't use many of the amenties since my stay was short but I did order room service that arrived quickly and was quite tasty. The front desk staff was very helpful with several requests I had and the "quick checkout" option was very nice. Overall a very enjoyable stay! April 15, 2014

When I requested a mini fridge, the fridge made it to the room before I could walk from the desk to my room, and, no charge. I hate it when Hotels "nickle and dime" you, that is not at all the case here, great value. The staff are all friendly and greet you with smiles and greetings, refreshingly friendly and accommodating. Excellent experience. April 5, 2014

I had unexpected travel changes, that caused me to check out prior to my planned departure. Plans changed again, causing me to check back in. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my travel issues. They were very flexible and friendly. Additionally, service and food at the hotel restaurant were very good. Not a service, just like facing with co-work, communication is just about result. That drive me unhappy and feel culture shock... Maybe they have done a prefect service already ... When my room air condition broken, I was asked to change another room, but unfortunately the second room is not available too... So I have to ask for another change. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Shanty Town This hotel in particular receives guests from all over the world. There is typically never a slow night and they also have several contracts with different companies to have their employees stay here for a group rate. With all this revenue coming in, it is amazing to see that there probably hasn’t been a proper renovation since the 1970’s. I always prefer to stay at a Holiday Inn or any of its affiliates, but I can guarantee you I will not be going back to this one. This is probably the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at. Bugs, stained sheets, fickle shower temperatures, poor lighting in the hotel rooms, low security, musty smell in the hallways and in the rooms, and broken fixtures galore. As soon as I checked into my room I had to call maintenance to send someone upstairs to fix the shower head. The only thing I am able to praise was the friendly staff. They took very good care of me and were quick to fix any problems I found. Attentive, responsive, and helpful perfectly describes the team that works there. It is such a shame to have such wonderful staff work in a shanty house. March 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the Best I made a last minuet decision to stay here instead of a Hotel my travel agent had previously booked for me. I stayed at the other hotel and was not pleased at all. First of all when I called for a shuttle bus from the Airport, Anna the front desk manager told me if a bus was not there in 10 min. to call a cab and she would pay for it. ( First time I ever had such an offer) Needless to say it arrived in about 5 min. The other hotel I was booked in had only hourly service and was at least a 30 min. drive from the Airport. Which meant you could wait for one and a half hours if there was no traffic problems. The Hotel is older, but clean, comfortable, good restaurant, and outstanding service as well as being only 5 min. from the International Airport, something I appreciated having an early AM. departure. The resturaunt and lounge are very good with reasonable prices and the rooms are very comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Close to IAH Bush Airport The four of us stayed at the Holiday Inn IAH Airport before heading to San Antonio. We arrived late at night and the front staff was superb. As a Platinum member, she provided us with goodie bag. Although we only booked one room, she provided us with two goodie bags. The All Inclusive package was an excellent deal in which you will receive two breakfast vouchers and one $25 restaurant voucher. The staff at the Great Eats restaurant were also superb and friendly. The food was okay as the buffet choices were limited compared to other full-service restaurants. The only complaint I have with this hotel is the "thin walls". We were able to hear the air conditioner from the other room along with noise from the bathroom. Otherwise, the hotel is very convenient to IAH Bush airport. March 12, 2014

No shuttle arrived at the airport and when I phoned they said they would send someone out but no one ever came. Another shuttle driver took pity on us after nearly an hour and drove us there himself. Not a great way to end a long day of travel. The breakfast is well worth booking ahead if you book online. March 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service the staff and service was great, however i did not receive any consideration for being a Priority club member except for a verbal thank you as an after thought as i walked away from checkin, no amenities no free breakfast, no free drinks, no gift bag, only internet access. based on the room rates I expected more. i was awoke at 4:00a by unknown person knocking, may have been lost guest, the booths in the resteraunt (we tried 2) where not comfortable recommend sticking to the tables. breakfast buffet was good, sausage was cold but bacon was great, omlet bar was great. abit pricey for breakfast but good. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service, mediocre accommodations Great location in relation to he airport, timely shuttle service, solid customer service, and a restaurant with room service on-site are the high points of this location. However, I had a number of small issues throughout my stay. Although I was told it would be a ten minute wait, the airport shuttle took 40 minutes to arrive (on my second call to the front desk they were much more accurate about the arrival time). The room was freezing for me (62F) and efforts to heat the room failed. In the morning I took a cold shower after efforts to get hot water failed (spent ten minutes waiting). My credit card was charged for the room even though points were used as the form of payment. As previously mentioned, the customer service in resolving that issue was great. Hopefully management can fix the operational kinks. *note* although I am not a Priority Club member, my room was purchased by a member using points. March 4, 2014

The Hotel appears to be older and in need of some renovation, the carpets in places show years of wear and the paint etc. could be redone. I must admit I was nervous staying here at first but got over it and enjoyed my stay. It is also only 10 min. from the Airport for those early AM. departures which was the main reason I booked it. When I called for the Hotel Shuttle from the Airport the Shift manager told me if the shuttle did not arrive in 10 min. to call a cab and she would pay for it, I found that to be extraordinary service. The shuttle arrive in minutes and I did not need a cab. Other Hotels have left me standing out in freezing temperatures waiting for their shuttle for up to an hour.. February 27, 2014

Front desk was amazingly helpful...I do remember Angela who was always smiling and seems to love her job. They really helped us decide what to do in our extra time, and made some calls for taxis for us etc. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Unfortunately it is an airport hotel, so there is not a whole lot else to do...we did walk around the block but the traffic is very loud when you walk by the freeways. February 26, 2014

Although I had a less than stellar beginning, after making my feelings know, I felt very satisfied that Pamela took time to talk to me and make the problems right. I often say that customer service is what makes IHG some of the best properties to stay at. I also very much enjoyed the onsite restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was as well as how friendly the staff was as well. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, but would suggest adding pancakes or something like that to the menu. It was for the most part a very good stay. I would also suggest a piece of carpet at the registration desk. It is very loud with all the tile. Thank you Pamela for keeping your word and making things right. February 18, 2014

Usually I feel good knowing I will be staying at a Holiday Inn during a short overnight layover but this experience was surely not one I expected. Now don't get me wrong the staff was nice as can be but the state of this hotel has much to be desired. The hallway had room service trays, food and plates all down the hall which I can overlook but the musty smell in the hallway was rough. Room was outdated. The overall experience was it just seemed like the whole place has been rode hard and put up wet, by that I mean it has been used hard and due for a renovation. Lobby was appointed nicely and the van driver was great. I awoke hoping for a great quick breakfast only to find out the restaurant was not open until 6 for breakfast. It was quite a shock as myself and 20+ other guests flying out at 630 that morning were not gonna get any breakfast & were hungry as we had to leave the hotel at 530. I would have settled for a box of cereal or a cereal bar. Let's hope the management sinks some money into the place rather than let it continue to go downhill. February 18, 2014

The price was reasonable, the free shuttle was nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I stayed in a room with a king size bed and pullout sofa and is was above my expectations for quality and cleanliness. February 17, 2014
