Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff were excellent Overall everything was great, however at first sight I thought I had made a mistake booking this hotel. The Hotel appears to be older and in need of some renovation, the carpets in places show years of wear and the paint etc. could be redone. I must admit I was nervous staying here at first but got over it and enjoyed my stay. It is also only 10 min. from the Airport for those early AM. departures which was the main reason I booked it. When I called for the Hotel Shuttle from the Airport the Shift manager told me if the shuttle did not arrive in 10 min. to call a cab and she would pay for it, I found that to be extraordinary service. The shuttle arrive in minutes and I did not need a cab. Other Hotels have left me standing out in freezing temperatures waiting for their shuttle for up to an hour.. February 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay between flights We had to hang out waiting for a flight so spent the night and most of the next day. Front desk was amazingly helpful...I do remember Angela who was always smiling and seems to love her job. They really helped us decide what to do in our extra time, and made some calls for taxis for us etc. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Unfortunately it is an airport hotel, so there is not a whole lot else to do...we did walk around the block but the traffic is very loud when you walk by the freeways. February 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pamela made the differnce This property was very easy to find and access. I really appreciated how clean the property was. Although I had a less than stellar beginning, after making my feelings know, I felt very satisfied that Pamela took time to talk to me and make the problems right. I often say that customer service is what makes IHG some of the best properties to stay at. I also very much enjoyed the onsite restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was as well as how friendly the staff was as well. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, but would suggest adding pancakes or something like that to the menu. It was for the most part a very good stay. I would also suggest a piece of carpet at the registration desk. It is very loud with all the tile. Thank you Pamela for keeping your word and making things right. February 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Used my IHG Rewards points and what a waste. Usually I feel good knowing I will be staying at a Holiday Inn during a short overnight layover but this experience was surely not one I expected. Now don't get me wrong the staff was nice as can be but the state of this hotel has much to be desired. The hallway had room service trays, food and plates all down the hall which I can overlook but the musty smell in the hallway was rough. Room was outdated. The overall experience was it just seemed like the whole place has been rode hard and put up wet, by that I mean it has been used hard and due for a renovation. Lobby was appointed nicely and the van driver was great. I awoke hoping for a great quick breakfast only to find out the restaurant was not open until 6 for breakfast. It was quite a shock as myself and 20+ other guests flying out at 630 that morning were not gonna get any breakfast & were hungry as we had to leave the hotel at 530. I would have settled for a box of cereal or a cereal bar. Let's hope the management sinks some money into the place rather than let it continue to go downhill. February 18, 2014

The price was reasonable, the free shuttle was nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I stayed in a room with a king size bed and pullout sofa and is was above my expectations for quality and cleanliness. February 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superior! Wunderbar! I recently flew into Houston from Frankfurt, Germany, and stayed at the Holiday Inn close to the airport. I was extremely pleased with all facets of the lodging. The shuttle from the airport was quick to arrive; the staff at the hotel were every one very polite, courteous, helpful, and friendly; the room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and had plenty of outlets for all electrical equipment; the wifi was fast and optimal. The adjacent restaurant was also superior in every way; pleasant decor and ambience, wonderfully helpful, friendly, and congenial staff members, and the food was great, both for dinner and also for the exceptional breakfast. Be sure and get one of the custom-made omelets! A special commendation and Thank You go out to Ruby at the front desk, whose cheerful greeting, great sense of humor, tremendous competence and expertise, and exceedingly helpful manner were all very much appreciated. She truly went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me in many aspects, always with an easy going manner and a bright smile. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Old Hotel but nice I have stayed at many Holidy Inn's ths one is very old. The staff was great considering they were overwhelmed with customers. The hotel had a musty smell and the beds were only doubles instead of queens. My only concern was the cost. February 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed I booked and paid for a two night stay and was awarded points for only one night which I consider grossly unfair. When I checked out, Angela on reception was great, really warm and friendly. It is shame the rates have gone up so much and the complimentary breakfast chit has disappeared. I stayed in November and December, paid much less and received breakfast. There was no special welcome for me when I checked in, as a Gold Rewards Club member, this should be standard. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed, again. This is the 2nd Holiday Inn I stayed at in Houston in as many weeks. It is close to the airport, and highway access wasn't an issue. The best thing I can say about it is the restaurant. I had 3 dinners there, all were good food, good value, good staff. Only problem is that sometimes there is a wait (yes, it's that good), and often people come there from other area hotels to eat. When I checked in, the sheets on one of the beds were obviously dirty. I informed the front desk I wanted a full bedding replacement the next day. The next day, same dirty sheets. I complained to the front desk, and they sent housekeeping in while I had dinner. Housekeeping changed the sheets, but not the bedspread. I complained again, finally after 3 days they changed the blanket. Seriously? February 11, 2014

Rooms were comfortable. However, complimentary breakfast was not provided. They did have a very nice restaurant attached to the hotel where food and service was great. I would definitely return. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to rest for a weary traveler I came in very late without luggage, due to an issue at the airline, and the staff was very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable, They were very understanding and provided a variety of necessary toiletry items to me. It made what could have been an uncomfortable night very relaxing. The convenient schedule for the airport shuttle made getting to and from the airport very easy and the friendliness of the staff was very welcoming. January 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst Holiday Inn I stayed No complimentary breakfast even I am the platinum member - in fact, the young lady Ana was so kind that about to give me coupon but another older lady also named Ana stopped her and declined my upgrade request. This is not the way to treat an IHG member. Wifi is very slow and kept dropping, I can't even work in hotel. Bathroom is old, the light was off and had to be fixed. AC is loud. toothpast/toothbrash are very cheap. Last but not least important, there is no Refrigerator even in Suite room! Neither complimentory bottle of water available - this hotel is even lower level than Holiday Inn Express. I stayed my last night in another Holiday Inn in same city and that one is MUCH better. Stay away from this hotel, the staff is not friendly the equipment is not enough, and the Wifi is a joke. January 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No Hot Water! Unfortunately upon arriving in my room I discovered I had no hot water. After 18 hours travelling I was looking forward to a hot shower. I phoned reception and was told I'd have to wait a few hours. A few hours later there was still no hot water. I couldn't go out for dinner as originally planned. Finally 5 hours after arriving I had hot water. Upon checking out the next morning I raise the issue with the staff on the desk and they told me I should have been offered a room change, what good it was telling me that 10 hours later I do not no! Banging on everyones door waking us all up even though my do not disturb sign was on my door. And inserting their master key into the door when I didn't answer. January 26, 2014
