Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and would happily recommend I was in town for business and was working very close by so selected this hotel on that basis - the free shuttle swung it for me. On arrival the welcome from Jennifer was excellent, very cheerful, helpful and efficient. The lobby and restaurant were very well presented and had everything needed. The room was spotless and very well prepared with everything I needed and expected. This is a great value hotel with a great service to match, would recommend and would stay again and that is the only real test for a hotel! Thanks guys. July 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY NICE & CLEAN; BED COMFORTABLE: GREAT LOCATION The Hotel was GREAT. POOL area simple but relaxing. Rooms not facing the street are BIgger rooms. ROOM very clean and bed and pillows comfortable. Air conditioning nice and cool. Only issue was breakfast staff not friendly and wouldn't open 10 minutes early to allow athletes to eat before heading to games. We could see the buffet ready, staff was leaning against bar talking & laughing. Did not let us in one minute early. We were knocking on door and staff would ignore us. GREAT LOCATION FOR BASEBALL & VOLLEYBALL June 17, 2013

Staff is very friendly and they made a point to greet or speak to me whenever I passed by ... even the housekeeping staff. I truly enjoyed my stay and will recommend this hotel highly for anyone coming to Houston. Keep up the great work! May 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcome feeling from the first hello The Houston West Holiday Inn was an excellent "hotel" experience. The staff was friendly from the very first moment. The shuttle service was wonderful - at 7:00 am the drivers were happier than most. The room was clean and well equipped. Truth be told, I was not a big fan of the Holiday Inn brand and was more than pleasantly surprised by this one. May 29, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb customer service and restful stay I drove into the parking lot and noticed the really well kept grounds... I walked in the front door from a very hard day, quite late, and was immediately put at ease, checked in with respect and care. I was in a spacious, wonderful and comfortable room within minutes, and happily asleep as soon as I could be. Breakfast was delightful, the skillets are superb! Even though express checkout was available, I was delighted to stop by the front desk and thank them. This is an establishment I will be happy to revisit. May 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room not cleaned So Sunday morning I woke up late (10am) and decided to leave for brunch. I had put the sign outside that said "Do not disturb". As I was leaving, I took it off to signal that I wanted my room cleaned (at 11am). I said hello to the cleaning lady and good morning. The day before I had skipped the cleaning service because I wanted to stay in after a long flight from Brazil. The cleaning lady put the sign BACK on the door and did not clean the room! I got back that evening at 9pm and my room was not cleaned at all. (2 days now) I was furious!! I went downstairs to get that cleaned and apparently the argument of the cleaning lady was that it was too late and I had the sign on the door which is a BLATANT lie. When I demanded my room cleaned the receptionist brought me up a set of clean sheets and clean towels and asked me to make the room myself. I have NEVER been treated like that by the staff ever in all of my stays at a Holiday Inn. The manager was supposed to call me and he/she never did. I demanded at least a discount or points or something and got NOTHING. Not even a formal apology. Beautiful hotel, beautiful facilities, HORRENDOUS and RUDE service and LAZY cleaning staff. Quick and easy commute to the office, its ideally located for my needs. The restaurant and bar is very good too. Good selection of food and well prepared. Portion sizes may be on the big side. Pretty new property, and so the interiors and exteriors are pretty new and nice... Rooms are very spacious, nice beds, staff are very helpful and professional... Only -ve thing : Some areas of the property have weak internet signal, and that is primarly as the routers are not optimally spaced (new hotel, so should find the optimal solution with time). But the staff are very helpful, and they tried their best to help in any possible manner. Restaurant & Bar is pretty good, and good service. Highly recommended to stay... December 24, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Business Hotel This hotel is directly across the street from my out of town office, so it makes it very, very convenient. It's a new hotel, so it's very clean and modern looking for a Holiday Inn. The rooms are large and had what i needed for working. Internet was spotty... but free. I ended up using my mi-fi because it just didn't work consistently. From a noise perspective... this place was loud. I think someone forgot to insulate between the floors. I could hear every toilet and shower it seemed. My co-workers who were also staying there said the same thing. Also, none of us are fans of the Holiday Inn pillows, but that could just be a personal problem. They are short and tall and not comfortable. On a positive note... this place has excellent customer service. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The bartender is also very skilled in customer service. I think some of the serving staff in the restaurant could use a little customer service training, but overall, this hotel ranks high in the friendly service category. If you have to stay in this part of Houston, it's a great, full-service hotel in the middle of a business coplex. November 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my needs Traveling from out of state to do some car shopping and attend some car shows. Staff was friendly, answered all of my questions, hotel was top of the line for Holiday Inn, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful with directions and recommendations for certain stores and restaurants. This hotel is in more of a business area, so it's perfect on the weekends, there's nobody in the pools, no kids running around, nobody blaring loud music. The hotel is in a great location, with access to the interstates or if you're more comfortable taking the access roads or simply cutting across town on the back roads (which turned out being faster during lunch time than taking the hwy) I will be staying here again next time I travel to Houston. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recent Stay Overall, the hotel was good with one major exception. The water coming out of the shower head was so slow that it required almost 3 times as long to take a shower as normal for me. There was at least 3 or 4 times as much water coming out of the bathroom faucet as there was coming out of the shower head. The washer in the head is so small that there is virtually no pressure, only the effect of gravity to pull the water down. Why waste the money on the expensive shower heads when they don't have sufficient pressure to even work properly. What a joke. September 27, 2012

Since I know you are a new hotel, you need to know that all the noise from the back hallway by the kitchen ice machine can be very disturbing to those paying for the conference room. I suggest you train employees that any activity back there needs to be done very quietly. September 19, 2012
