Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brenda50 Some major glitches
The elevator was not working on the third floor. You could reach the thrid floor but had to walk down. This was a major incovenience as the stairs were at the ends of the hallway (not near the elevators). Discussions with staff resulted in them saying they called for maintenance but they seemed unconcerned.
The toilet clogged on intital use with only toilet paper.
There was no shampoo as if the maid staff had never checked on what had been used and not used.
The breakfast was not much in the way of a buffet but they did comp with a coupon!
Overall expereince was not positive. I travel alot and have a high tolerance for glitches but there were just too many at this hotel!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SH40 Temp was hard to control, could not get it cool enough
There was coffee in our room but no sugar, sweetner or creamer packets to go along with it. We were surprised to see the breakfast buffet was $8.99 but did not end up paying as we were part of a block of rooms for our granddaughter's soccer team. All in all the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful, expecially the front desk personnel. Thought room price was on the high side.

Overall the hotel was good but there seemed to be no insluation between the rooms and you could hear the person in the next room as if they were standing right beside you. It's hard to sleep when you have someone coughing all night long in the next room..it was dissapointing.

I loved the convenience of the handicap room, and the hotel was neat and clean.
However, I was not happy about my truck being broken into. Found out that is common in that area, so I was surprised there was no security presence.

The Holiday Inn at Willowbrook continues to provide me excellent service and value for money. I have and will continue to recommend this hotel to my work colleagues.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lee629 Facility morphing into Holiday Inn Express
This once grand facility has lost it's luster due to a major company in the area relocating, and volume of bookings has dropped dramatically. The 'flagship' banner of Holiday Inn value and amenities no long exists, but room rates are still being charged. Occupancy seemed very low during my three day stay. Limited staff was accommodating. Our bathroom lacked a back of door hook, aerator on the faucet, and had a whobbly toilet. These three items were immediately fixed the day of complaint, but staff should have noted it in advance. A request for a handicap toilet room was made. I was shown a handicap room, but it did not have a handicap height toilet. The ice machine on the first floor did not work. This is not 'flagship' quality. I chose to not eat at the hotel due to low activity. I used Priority Club Member points to pay for the room. I would have a problem paying the quoted nightly rate. I've stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses that were far superior in total satisfaction.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Valvtravler Uncomfortable stay
The continental breakfast was inferior in variety and quality to any I have had at other Holiday Inns. In addition, they charge for the breakfast. The morning I checked out there was no hot water, not a good way to start your day.
The person who checked me out that morning was apologetic and promised additional priority points for the inconvenience. I haven't checked to see if I got the points.. But I would have rather faced a long day of meetings after having a hot shower..

Whether it is a month or a several months, the people that work at this hotel remember me as if we had just seen each other yesterday. It is that person to person level, compared to other places I've stayed in that make me come back to this area. The receptionist knows what part of the hotel is the one I like, and makes the check in and check out process a lot smoother.
Besides this being close to work, it has room service both for breakfast and dinner, making this my leisure home away from home. I have not used the gym much as the equipment I usually use is not there, however the hotel does work with a local Fitness 19, which when in need of a real work out I can use at the courtesy of the Hotel. All hotels have their quirks here and there, but overall every chance I get to stay in that part of town, this is where I usually go.

Secure gating is a plus, knowing Houston. Every time I stay, it feels like home. Bar hours could stay open longer on weekends, but nonetheless it is a great part of any hotel. I just like the proximity from a few restaurants and shopping center. Clean, clean, clean!

Houston Northwest Willowbrook Holiday Inn is an excellent spot to stop for the night or an extended stay. The hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants, and just a quick hop on the tollway to Houston night life. And, because the hotel is up to the high Holiday Inn standards, you can be assured of a safe, spotless environment. The bed was snuggly comfortable, the room immaculately clean, and the price in line with other hotels of this quality. The manager was most helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed, including cancelling a room for us which we no longer needed, and seeing that the couple traveling with us was located on the same floor as were we. The staff that we met in the hallways and on the grounds were courteous and professional. All in all, an excellent experience.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cheryl02 Very helpful staff! Great experience.
We stayed here during a softball tournament. Our team had to be at the fields by 7 a.m. Henry (I think that's his name) made arrangements for our team to be able to eat breakfast at 6 so our girls would be well fueled! Breakfast was delicious.
Likewise, he made an exception for the pool closing so our girls could take advantage of the whirlpool when we got in at 10:30 that night.
He went above and beyond the call for pleasing the customers.
The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean. Parking lot has a gate so you can feel secure in Houston.
Will definitely stay again!

The property was well maintained and the guest service staff were very professional and helpful. The warm cookies in the afternoon were delicious. They made us feel like valued guest. The hotel was in a great location, near the freeway, shopping and many restaurants. We were very comfortable and felt secure there. We would stay there again.
