Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No recognition of IHG status The hotel is very nice, moden and spacious. Only as an IHG member I will not be returning. Its the first time in a long while I have stayed in a standard room and not recieved an upgrade as the terms state. When I enquired why the executive rooms were not offered to Platinum members at 8.00pm, I was informed the hotel was expecting a rush on rooms later on this evening, very amusing, at 10.00pm the car park was still half empty and there were no lights or TV's on in the exec roons with balconys facing the race course, the lie / fob off was almost as insulting to ones intelligence as not bothering in the first place. If you are a senior manager at this hotel reading this review, check the dates and if the hotel was really fully booked ( I will ask IHG to confirm), please let us know. My advise there are other Holiday Inns nearby that acknowledge your IHG status and forfill the terms. March 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Couldnt fault our stay We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday, it is primarily a business hotel so isn't busy at weekends which was ideal for us meeting with some friends. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. Our only comment would be that the hair dryer wasn't very powerful and the curtains don't block 100% of the daylight. Other than that we couldn't fault it and plan to return. March 25, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel, service first class, and everyone so friendly. We had a three night stay at this hotel with friends and it was a really excellent choice. Particularly the reception staff of Michelle, Maggie, and their colleagues were so friendly and helpful with local information about places to see and good places to eat. Although the restaurant menu was fairly limited, the food was very nice and good value. The bedrooms were of generous size with good beds. Would certainly stay there again. March 13, 2015
