The negative experience of a shabby drab outdated room with a "let’s get the room either too hot or too cold" environmental system was rescued by Carlos at the Club Lounge and the friendly front desk staff. Today’s traveler needs access to electrical outlets...I had to unplug the desk clock to find a usable outlet. Many MODERN hotels have included electrical receptacles on the base of the lamps providing the traveler ample connectivity. I would only recommend this hotel to the Priority Club member who plans on visiting Carlos in the lounge between 6-9pm. He made the stay! So keep Carlos, keep the decent munchies (meatballs, chicken wings) and spend some money fixing up the rooms.

The 4th floor Priority Club lounge is excellent! I really enjoy the time spent there. Carlos makes the atmosphere especailly warm and friendly.

The staff was so awesome and very friendly. The minute I walked in with my family and two dogs; we were immediately at ease. Breakfast was excellent. Overall staff rating: OUTSTANDING!

It is of grave concern that each and every time I stay at this hotel they never get my Priority Club level right. I am never greeted at my Platinum Level and an advanced package is never prepared and ready at check in, Each and every time I check in, I point this out to the front desk and in many cases I also tell the manager and it still continue to be the same response, "We will check into it". I continue to stay at this hotel only because of its location and I knew when service was outstanding, I sincerely hope we get back to the service levels of the past.

Me and my husband went to Huntsville, AL for a weekend getaway. Our stay at the Holiday Inn was absolutely amazing. We were greeted by a nice gentlemen who checked us in and answered all of our questions. The room was really nice and had a microwave and refrigerator that I didn't think it would have. (we were pleasantly surprised#. We had lunch at the restaurant in the hotel I think it was called The Loft and my husband says that he had one of the best hamburgers ever! I had the spring rolls and onion rings which were REALLY good too. The next morning we had the breakfast buffet and it was also really good and had super nice wait staff. The bar is nice and overall the hotel is really nice place and I am happy we chose that one and will definitely be going back!!!!
I would say the only complaint I have is that there was some sort of soccer team staying there and it consisted of a lot of squealing girls in the hallway and it woke us up. #but the hotel is still great)!

Would like to see this hotel do some updates. Bathrooms are EXTREMELY small. Some of the carpet needs replacing. Would like a better selection of food in the 4th floor lounge.

I travel a great deal to Huntsville and have tried any number of hotels over the years. The downtown Huntsville Holiday Inn is a favorite, mostly due to its reliably good service, great location, and the fact that you can workout for free at a 24-hour gym about a five minute drive away.
The property is sort of old, and it shows its age in places. It's a little musty and the hallways are somewhat dark, but the rooms and the lobby are well lit and appointed and that's where you spend your time.

I have stayed here before and this was probably the last stay. When I arrived the room smelled like dead fish. And the heat was on full blast in the middle of the summer. It was ripe. I had to call to have them deodorize the room and bring a fan down just to make it bearable. There was no do not disturb sign and the bathroom floor and bath tub was covered with short curly hairs. Yuck !

I stayed here from Thursday, August 15th until Monday 19th. The location was great because my event was right across the street in the Von Braun Center. The reception staff were pleasant and attentive. Some things need attention: The 4th floor was supposedly a card-access floor. One elevator required the room keycard to gain access to the 4th floor. The other did NOT; just push the button. There were glasses and dishes at several places along the hallway. Twenty four hours later, every piece was STILL there. I asked housekeeping about it, Apparently this is something the kitchen is to collect. Also there were almonds at several places along the hallway. Perhaps this is a supervisor's trick to see if the hall was being vacuumed. In four days, it wasn't -- the almonds remained when I left. The restaurant and breakfast area staff were quite good, even during busy times. One of the two computers in the Business Center was working. The other needed software updates,but wasn't getting them. (Trivial, but the "e" had fallen from the sign above the door of the Business C nter). Lastly, yes....My bed was soft. Hope this helps.

Mostly comfortable room! I had problems with my back and the bed not agreeing, but that's got more to do with my back than the bed. It may not be the newest hotel, but I've heard that things will be starting to get revamped soon. Looking forward to staying there again next year!!!!!

I asked for a handicap room as I only have one leg and use crutches to get around. The problem that I had was that the handicapped room was on the 2nd floor and a long walk from the elevators. Handicap rooms should be on the first floor near the front door.
It's like having handicap parking at the rear of a store or restaurant.

I booked my room in advance for my third year in a row to attend the Huntsville Ham Fest. The location of the Holiday Inn is within easy walking distance of our Ham Fest Location. The service is great along with good food, comfortable beds and plenty of parking. We'll return again in 2014 for another visit and yes, we'll stay at Holiday Inn.

The front desk was extremely helpful in accommodating 3 young adults. I'm pretty sure his name was Brandon but he made our stay at the holiday inn very enjoyable and even changed the our room for a better view! Everything in the room was cleaned which is a huge priority for me as all as white sheets/comforter. The beds were alright but overall the stay was simple and easy! We will be back next year!

Our sink and tub were stopped up but as soon as I let the staff know someone was there within 10 minutes! Repaired completely and the problem was minor! The bed was too soft for our comfort but we would go back just because of the convienence of the location. Can't commend the staff too highly!

I cannot say enough about my stay at Holiday Inn Huntsville. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was superb and the breakfast buffet was very,very, good. I had no problem finding a parking space near the front entrance. I will definitely stay at this facility again. Job well done to everyone at Holiday Inn Huntsville.

This was my second stay at this hotel! It was a great stay, as I come here often to visit, it has become my favorite hotel to stay at in Huntsville. I love that it is a pet friendly place but the only problem I had was a dog barking in the next room, but te front desk asked the lady to try to keep the pup calm, I was very impressed, the room was so clean and nice! I would recommend everyone to stay here!

The hotel is animal friendly, but we had NO animals and got ate up by fleas in the room and tick in the bath tub. The shower curtain was broken and falling off the rod. The sink stayed stopped up and the cable tv went out for a while. We stayed on the second floor down from the elevator / lobby area and there were people in that area partying from 2 a.m. - 4:30 a.m., which kept us awake. We called for security several times but got no results to end the loudness. We should have called the police. The next day when I asked to speak to the hotel manager I was told they were 'out'.

Just wanted to say my stay at this location was one of the best hotel stays ever. Great location and staff. Wanted to give credit to Carlos . on the 4th floor VIP area for Priority Elite members. This gentleman was first class and made us feel like we were really important. He should be training people on the true art of customer service. He has it going on for sure. Thanks so much Carlos for giving my Brother and myself a great evening of relaxing in your lounge. We really enjoyed our stay

I just stayed at this hotel just this pass weekend. It's been four years since I've stayed there. The front desk staff was exceptional, especially Lawrence. The rest of the staff was professional and friendly. Other than a slow draining tub and running toilet. The room and value was perfect.

Amazed the way the place looks now. Visited the hotel in 2006 and it wasn't the same calibur of today. Nice job in getting to the level of services today. Wasn't particular happy with the interactions of the front desk, but other areas made up for it. Excellent work out/exercise equipment. The best I've seen in all the different places the family have stayed.
