Family room was great large very clean ( a little dated maybe) very comfortable. pool was fantastic (a little cold for the youngest) and had an outside play area for the kids. Eveninmg dinner was great., All round great service will definately stay again. Well done. August 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Menu and Restaurant This hotel is a really nice comfortable Holiday Inn. It is badly let down by its restaurant. If you stay here I would suggest eating out as the menu is poor with not much choice and the food is very average quality. In saying all this the staff in the hotel and particularly in the restaurant are superb and really want to ensure you have a quality experience. Please do something positive with the menu. Drinks were not cheap but wide selection available. The breakfast was ok but book online for best price. Look carefully at your bill at the end of your stay, it's a busy place with lots of rooms and mistakes can be made. August 23, 2014

It cost us £16.00 for 6 of us in a taxi to get into Cambridge city centre which was fine and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a cheaper hotel than Cambridge Centre prices August 21, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Feelings The hotel is near to the motorway, and about 15 mins into Cambridge. You can get a bus into Cambridge the stop is only 5 mins walk from the hotel and the drivers are helpful. It is a 25 min walk down into a small village with a few nice pubs where you can get a nice meal the Rose and Crown was very friendly but you need to book if you want to eat as it gets very busy. We had a executive room which had a mini bar but we would of rather had it empty for our own use, I think it would be better if you were asked prior to your stay if you want a stocked mini bar. I dont think I would pay for an executive room again as I don't think the difference is worth it. The so called luxury toiletries included a shoe shine and sewing kit which I could of done without!! We didn't get slippers and I don't really see why I should point this out if it is standard, the toilet didn't flush very well, waiting around 20 mins for it to refill, I reported this on check out, if we would of reported it after a few hours of arrival we would of had maintenance in the room or had to move room, both being a bind. Some of the staff in the restaurant at breakfast were quite rude, if you were stood at the coffee machine one waitress would push past you and not walk around, the lady cooking the eggs, stood there cooking them for about 20 mins what is the point of having an egg station if they are not cooked to your liking, one man asked if she did omlettes etc and she said no she has enough to do but he could order one, which I don't think he heard and walked away. Some people were looking around for plates etc and the staff wouldn't notice! The staff at the leisure facilities were helpful and the facilites were nice to use. The bar man was also nice and chatty some of the reception staff were also a bit off but others were ok. You got the overall feeling that staff morale was low. I don't think I would use this Holiday Inn again and can say they are not all like this we have usually found staff very friendly and made your stay. August 18, 2014

Pool was child friendly, as was the restaurant, so we both had a good swim and dinner. Only problem with sleep was a door gap at the bottom of the door that let in too much light from the corridor, but beds very comfortable. August 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistent Standard We have stayed in many Holiday Inns and this is certainaly one of the best. It is in a pleasant semi rural setting on the outskirts of Cambridge but with good transport links to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. The facilities in the hotel were excellent. The service was of the high standard we have come to expect of all Holiday Inns. The waitresses deserve a particular mention being efficient but at the same time chatty and showing a genuine interest in us. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating a visit to Cambridge. August 13, 2014

The staff were great, attentive and friendly, however the food left a lot to be desired, as it appeared to be commercially produced, not freshly prepared. Not what we expected at these prices. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn The overall feel of the Holiday Inn was good. The rooms felt a little dated and could do with some modernising but only from an esthetic point of view. The choice of TV channels could have been better and although it is not any fault of the Holiday Inn I really struggled to get any mobile reception within the hotel (Vodafone). The staff were friendly and helpful but breakfast did feel a little chaotic with too many staff on hand. August 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and good people working at Holiday Inn I have stayed at the Cambridge HI every week since Jan 2014. The staff are very good, but sometimes the welcome and room service is not what you would like to expect. Sometimes small details are forgotten such as register points for IHG, Paper, Alarm Calls not happening when requested. 24hour items on menu are not available because the Chef has gone home! The rooms could also do with a refresh. Many of them look a little tired around the edges. The menu has pretty much stayed the same in this time as well. Having said that overall it is a pleasant experience. August 4, 2014

Little ambiance in the place and staffed predominantly by eastern Europeans only just learning English. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay We were there for one night only for the start of the Tour de France the next morning. We checked in late which was effortless and quick. The hotel was busy but we did not feel rushed. The room only had one bed and we wanted two so a gentleman was sent within 15 minutes to make up the sofa bed. He was pleasant and happy to help. The bar was busy but we enjoyed a couple of quiet drinks. The room was clean and comfortable for our one night stay, also quiet which is always a bonus in a hotel. It's a convenient location for Cambridge, with a bus stop literally across the street to take you into the city centre. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. July 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Could be better hotel with good maintenace. Have made the problems quite clearly in my report back regarding a more specific problems. It may be we were unfortunate in the room we were assigned, but have no way of knowing. It would be unfair to holiday Inn who I have used if these issues had not been reported, enabling the Cambridge team to put things right and at the same time check other rooms in same areas to see the standard, or lack of standard and detail like 'plumbing and light bulbs had not been checked. this would only take 2 minutes per room, but keep the standard of Holiday Inn at the expected level. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great venue, pleasant health club Always my favorite for Cambridge, set in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Cambridge with a great Health club and pool. Staff are friendly and the layout is great for meetings, quite a hike to your room, and no lift if you are on the first floor that I could find, but I'm sure there is a way if your bags are too heavy. Always seems to be busy at reception desk but it's a minor point. The Wi-Fi was down for the whole time I was there which was a problem, but down to the service provider rather than the hotel July 10, 2014
