Wow, I am a huge holiday inn fan, and IHG for that matter always stay in the brand and am a platinum member. I had a few issues with this hotel aside from the fact that most of the equipment in the gym was present yet non-functional (to the point of feeling I was putting myself at risk using) and that you had to pay for mini golf which when I was growing up staying at holiday inns it was included. But my absolute biggest complaint and something that has never happened to me before is that I booked a multi-level suite, as a surprise to my family, and when I got there they put me in the wrong room - a single level suite (no hot tub, balcony, loft)! That was quite a blow considering it was over new years and we were hoping we could put the kids to bed and maybe have a glass or 2 of wine on the balcony. I talked to them about it at the front desk and they said no this is what you booked. Puzzled I went to my room and didn't say anything because it was a surprise so no one knew that we weren't getting the upgraded room. But as I lay there that night I was deleting emails and low and behold there is my reservation for the 2 level suite. So I bring it down to the front desk and I'm like well here is my reservation why am I not in this room? There was no satisfactory answer and I did not get the room I had a confirmed reservation for. Very disappointed.

Great clean large rooms, price included free breakfast, although when we checked in it was actually a 10.00 voucher for each person towards breakfast, we ended paying around $5.00 after the voucher, the breakfast was good, good service, clean grounds, and good location. Walking distance to town, beach, and restuarants.

We loved the location of this hotel. The staff helped us get a bit earlier check-in and let us have a late check-out. I was able to print our boarding passes at no extra charge and appreciated the no fee internet service. So for all of those reasons I would certainly consider returning. There was nothing too special about the room. The kitchen, which we used for breakfast and lunches, had a grimly feel to it. The soap for washing dishes was horrible, and I would have appreciated dishwashing soap so I could run the dishwasher when I wanted to. I felt there were a few kitchen items missing (strainer, cookie sheet). We wish there would have been a heads up on the construction.
Again, we loved the location, and a few of the amenities that the staff provided to us at no cost. We also loved that there was no resort fees. Getting pool towels was a big hassle, but we managed.
