Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Priced Too High for What We Got We chose Holiday Inn because of positive experiences in the past. Our first impression was OK, the lobby is getting remodeled which is a plus and there was a beautifully redone pool area, nice. The room quality was however poor. The ceiling above the shower was broken and received many poor patch jobs, the sink drain would stick closed, and the room itself was naturally humid and hot so the air conditioner had to be on which was so loud and it woke us up several times in the night. Sleep became restless. In the morning we had breakfast in the dining room, where during our meal some employees were discussing hotel business about how only 50% of the rooms were booked, although when we booked online it seemed as though rooms were scarce with very few choices. Upon checking out I was not sure whether to drop my card on the desk and run, since there was no one visible at 9am. We also found out that we were being charged for two nights when we only reserved a one night stay. At check-in a one night stay was confirmed with the front desk, we are not sure what happened between check-in and check-out to cause a double charge and a hold on our account unnecessarily. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed the pool was not operational for our stay Pool was being repainted and I was not aware of this when I booked online. Since I prepaid, I was not entitled to a refund. I was very disappointed that given that the advertised main amenity was not available to me, I still was not entitled to a refund. I will never again prepay for a hotel room without the option for a refund for instances like this. January 14, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Small Bathrooms The only thing that I did not like was the size of the bathroom. It needs to be somewhat larger, since it was difficult to change clothes in the bathroom with the door closed. When you have a teenage daughter, she appreciates her privacy. December 29, 2014
