Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by slightly disappointed in need of a refurb looks dated. room had cobwebs, heating not working. I booked this hotel as it was central to my travel, I would look for an alternative in future and only book if I needed to. I wanted the use of a gym, which was stated as free use across the road. I was not offered this. There is a mini gym with a lack of equipment. The only great thing about this hotel was Stuart Crisp! September 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay with efficient service On arriving at the hotel we were able to park our car and once inside we were pleasantly greeted by the staff and directed to our room which was clean and comfortable while sitting in the Area upstairs we were approached by a member of staff to see if he could get us coffee from the bar which we declined but later went and got coffee where we were served at the table in the bar in the evening we had some friends visit us and we had a very good meal in the restuarant where the staff were both efficient and friendly the breakfast in the morning was good value for money September 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Last minute overnight stay It was quick and easy to book an overnight stay whilst travelling via the IHG website and then we turned up a the hotel within 30 minutes of the booking and they were expecting us. Prior booking via the website saves a lot of money over the normal room rate. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, they are helpful, cheerful and make this hotel. September 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly welcoming staff We needed an overnight stay for a visit to the Ipswich area and chose this hotel because we have previously had good service from the same chain's hotel in Lincoln. This hotel did everything we needed and, although we did not eat there, we could not fault it for what was required. In particular the lady on reception the afternoon we arrived (and the next morning when we left) was most helpful and friendly. This was pleasing as some of the previous reviews had highlighted that as an issue for this hotel. September 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn but not what you expect I was left a bit disappointed with my recent stay. It was not what I have come to expect from the Holiday Inn brand. The hotel was old and tired, almost a throwback to the the 70's. The staff were first class as you would expect. The hotel was clean, room was fresh smelling. Just very very tired. September 14, 2015
