I infrequently stay at Holiday Inns and when I do it is always for business travel. This branch is okay to good and the reception staff were excellent. The only aspect that was below average was the quality of the bathroom - although it functioned it needed an update and some minor repairs to the taps. Not bad overall.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by meezimark VERY POOR EXPENSIVE FOOD , GOOD CLEAN ROOMS
this was a 50th birthday treat for hubby, what let it down was the food, but on a big scale, food was of poor quality, ie got fed up of chips (or thin fries) and asked for mash, i got instant potato....the menu didnt have a great variety and was very expensive, but worse, when we were there (5 night) they ran out of most food on menu from 2nd night, so ate what we didnt really want and not very nice either, why, did we eat there and not out , i hear you ask, we pre paid for all inclusive, Not impressed at all, and put a spoiler on it for us,
However, not all bad, room great size, very clean, staff lovely, swimming pool brilliant (although, communal changing rooms, didnt like that)..we would go back but not eat there, breakfast was ok though ,scrambled eggs i think were powdered eggs ,they tasted like it anyway, but lots of choice and we enjoyed breakfast, because of the choice.
Fire doors (both of them ) were left open and banging early hours of morning., but again on a postive, ideally situated for ipswich town with park and ride 10 mins walk and the bus was very reasonably priced ,we enjoyed ipswich town, and would go back for this reason.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jockohibo Very poor
The room was dirty with lots of hair in the bath and sink and the food served was nothing short of shocking, the worst food i have been served in my entire life, I can't believe this hotel is part of the Holiday Inn group, I will not stay at this hotel ever again, very very poor standards.
