The staff's helpfulness and attention to detail helped not only put our mind's at ease but enabled us to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smells of smoke THe hotel has smoking rooms available I guess because the floor I was staying on smelt like smoke. As I was walking to my room I did not see a smoking room but in my room the smell was just as strong as it was walking down the hall. Smoke is one of my smells that really gets to me... I did not arrive to the hotel until 1 am and was exhausted, super hard to fall asleep due to the smell... I wish this experience was better because the front desk gentleman was great!!!! Hotel seemed nice but I just did not have the time to check it out.. August 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room but Staff Threw Out my Pillow! Nothing wrong with the room. Had a standard king and it was very nice. The soft/hard pillows were a nice touch as well. However, I left a custom orthopedic pillow on the bed. I called a couple hours after I left that day. They called me back ~3 hours later and said it "wasn't in there." Yeah ok--- that's code for our staff threw it out or lost it. So if you stay here don't count on getting anything back if you leave it! August 1, 2013

All of the staff is very friendly and accomadating ,We ate dinner there for the first time last weekend and the food was great.Also the beds and pillows are very comfortable. We love this place! We transferred hotels because the previous hotel (not a holiday inn) was dirty, had no service, and gave us promises they didn't keep. Once we transferred to this holiday inn, it was total opposite. Everyone was approachable, kids ate breakfast free, indoor pool, all pillows we wanted, friendly atmosphere. We were so delighted and even stayed at hotel a whole day just loafing around, without a care in the world. We even recommended it to our sister who will be visiting Illinois next month. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything wonderful with one little thing that I would like to see improved. I spent 8 nights in your wonderful hotel and spent many of those nights in my room. I just wish that there was a better selection of TV Channels to chose from. The Black Hawks games could not be viewed in a room! That is the only thing I can say was not just the best place to stay. Everyone from the Managers to the Bar tender are just wonderful people and treated you like family. June 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Clean, well located, friendly Stayed here for a week. It's within walking distance of a client's headquarters. The hotel is nice with a decent in-house restaurant. The staff was friendly and happy to give directions when I needed them. I didn't spend much time hanging around the hotel, but I found the atmosphere welcoming and everything worked in the fitness area. I plan to use it as my base whenever I go visit a client in the area. My only wish is that they had an airport shuttle. June 19, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good experience, not great. I was in Itasca Holiday Inn for a continuing education 4 day intensive. The conference room situation was excellent, but, the room needed work. Very outdated, no fridge or microwave, and when you are doing continuing ed, you want to save by going to a local market and getting food and bring it back. Glad I brought my cooler! The Hotel gives a breakfast coupon with the schooling and I think the maid took off with 3 of them. The second morning we could not find them anywhere, but, the maid came back with a note and a free 1 oz. bag of doritos. We think the doritos were a cover up. June 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Rewards Night This was our Priority Club Rewards Anniversary night. We were upgraded to a suite. Hotel staff is very professional. Loved the restaurant. Saw on the Holiday Inn Express App they were offering 1,000 pts if we ate in the restaurant so we took advantage. Glad we did. Excellent service and the included buffet breakfast the next morning was very much appreciated. We usually stay at the Holiday Express properties. The full service experience made our stay very comfortable. When we got to our room, one of the nice chairs had some damage where a previous guest had cut some of the padding out from underneath. We called the front desk and the problem was resolved in about 10 minutes. Spacious parking lot and it was free. Wireless Internet worked well. June 8, 2013

The hotel has nicely designed lobby, good location and spacious clean rooms. Refrigerator in the room would definitely be an advantage. Also, please do not paint the walls in dry sauna - those are supposed to be plain wood. Unfortunately couldn't relax in the sauna due to strong odor of oil paint. May 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly Great Hotel My niece had her wedding here and I was surprised to find a contemporary and renovated hotel. The staff was very nice. The rooms and pool area were well kept. Our room cam with breakfast and it was excellent. Full hot breakfast buffet. The staff did a great job with the wedding as well and the food there was very good. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who plans to stay in the area. May 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business trip Nice place to stay for a couple of nights of business. Breakfast was good, and we were given to-go coffee cups to take with us without having to ask. Can't say I was "able to relax" due to the reason for my visit, so can't qualify that. The place was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly to two out-of-towners who needed to get around without a car. Maybe see you next year for the same event. May 14, 2013

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Also, WiFi was free. Things to be aware of are: Rooms may or may not have a mini-fridge, but they are available on request for no extra charge. WiFi is free, but the password is changed every Monday, and you usually aren't told, even if you check in on Sunday night. Breakfast is not complementary unless you have enough priority club points. Almost every time, I have been able to request a first floor room. Overall a great hotel experience. May 9, 2013

The condition of the rooms and hotel was fantastic. This was a one night get away to meet family from Milwaukee. We had never stayed here before and will be back at least 2 or 3 times a year. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Experience of this excellent Hotel We stay on hotels up to 200 nights per year for business and for pleasure and we selected this hotel as we were working at the Ryder Cup in Medina in September/October 2012. This is our favourite hotel for staff and environment spoilt only from the road noise, but after the first day that paled into insignificance. The staff were exceptionally good, both check-in and restaurant. The free shuttle bus to Medina was a real unexpected benefit and as we had to get to the Golf very early on two occasions (0540) the shuttle was available for just the 2 of us - wow what service. The bar/restaurant service was A1 and the Manager the very best we have seen anywhere. The road noise - insignificant in relation to service. All time favourite hotel. March 18, 2013

They treat Priority Club members like royalty. Free drinks, upgrades, extra points. You never know what they'll surprise you with. Bar and restaurant are great. The building is always clean from the rooms to the pool. This is one of the best Holiday Inns I have stayed at and will be back again. March 9, 2013

I stayed at this location with two other colleagues for a night; we were greeted with a smiling face at the front desk and our keys to our rom were ready as soon as we walked up. We were a bit hungry and asked about the restaurant, the food was good and and comforting. Plus we had some fun watching the bartender entertain the bar guests with some fun game. Rooms were comfortable and tempature was good especially on a cold night outside. Breakfast was great in the morning. Overall, a business travelers needs were met at the location. While the whirlpool was not working the first day i was there, it was up and running the next morning, as promised. The waitstaff was very (sometimes a bit too) atttentive and on the second day @ brunch he actually remembered what I had requested the day before (tea, black..tomato of ice water) and brought it out while i was getting my buffet. Oh and the buffet was nice too, little touches like salsa for my eggs and greek yougurt for my fruit. I was very pleased with my stay. February 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dated Bathrooms & Carpet....but Good Hotel Overall the stay was Good, but I think the hallways were a little dark and not very welcoming. The Lobby and main area was nice, restuarant appearance was nice and rooms were fair. Seems as the rooms were updated besides the bathroom. It was a little dated with not a very clean/pure look about it. Bed was fine and other things in the living area, just the bathroom. February 2, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Priority means nothing here So I am a gold priority memember, I didnt receive any additional . my request for extra pillows was not given. I was not offered an upgrade of any kind , I was put in a room next to a room of screaming kids and was told I could not be moved. If you are a business traveler,,, DO NOT stay here. However the bartender at the time was very nice, and I think she did a good job. January 26, 2013
