Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome experience This is a great hotel. Nice/update front lobby and business center. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. I was in town for meeting and unfortunately a funeral and needed a nice, clean, quiet space and this Holiday Inn delivered! The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Bed was comfy and the room temperature made it all cozy. Loved the decor and display of toiletries in the bathroom. The TV was huge - with a great selection of channels. I really enjoyed the restaurant and staff. It's very rare to have food serve hot that STAYS hot through the last bite. The menu was awesome (and I'm not just saying that) - lots of variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner - or a snack too. Overall - this hotel gets a gold star! Thanks Holiday Inn/JFK! May 21, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't measure up My wife and I have stayed in Holiday Inn hotels a couple of time when we have traveled, in the north Texas area and others when we travel elsewhere. Coming to New York for me for the first time and staying in a hotel was an experience. The first thing that I noticed was the lack of parking for the hotel. The check-in experience was good and prompt. The first shock came when we got to our room and opened the door, I was completely shocked and disappointed at the size of the room compared to all the other hotels that we have stayed in. The room with a king sized bed was very cramped, the refrigerator was inadequate to store food and drinks in for an extended stay as well as a place to hang our clothes and store our luggage without having to trip over them. There was no room to move around in the room without having to bump into one another or jump over luggage. The second night in the hotel, the television did not work using the remote control. The bathroom like the room was very very small and had no counter space to store our personal items for an extended stay, it was cramped and stuffy. The towels were hard and had a stale smell to them. The second night after returning to the room, there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom and the next night it was even stronger and we called the front desk and they sent an attendant to see where the smell was coming from. On our last night in the hotel, I found a cockroach about 3/4 in long in the bathroom, which I had to kill and put in a plastic bag to give to the front desk attendant, I saved her the experience and just mentioned it to her at checkout. We did enjoy the dining service to the room, that and the bed was the good points of the stay, but overall to say it plainly, this was not a good stay in New York for my first experience. One of the reasons that we decided to become a rewards member is that we were impressed with the hotel at our previous stays, we were very disappointed with this stay. May 12, 2016

The very good service can be felt all over the hotel, from the restaurant to the shuttle service. The restaurant offers good food, fair price and very kind service. May 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Family Visit We checked into the JFK Holiday Inn at 1 pm and room was not ready but we did precheck in which was excellent. The manager was very nice. The room was extremely small for a king room and very disappointing. The other Holiday Inn's we have stayed in were bigger and the value was poor but it is in a good location. The room was noisy at night with other guests; which the hotel has no control over; but it was not restful. Elevator was EXTREMELY SLOW!!!!! Gym was good sized but equipment was outdated and not at all good quality. May 9, 2016
