Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great place I have stayed there at least 10 times and I will say something like 30 days in total all together, the staff is awsome and it's a very nice and clean hotel. I always sleep well. The only bad thing about this hotel is the food. To be honest they should really think about either change the menu or change the kitchen staff because the food is very bad! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hotel experience ever! Nicest staff and a very clean hotel inside and out. Great value for the stay. Restaurant in the hotel was excellent! Staff was wonderful, food tasted great and a great value for the amount you get. Every person we spoke to was very pleasant and helpful from the time of check in to check out. I was there with my wife and young daughter for a family funeral. There was a gathering of family and friends in the bar area after the funeral was over. The food and drink provided along with the staff was excellent! During such a tough time it was a pleasure staying at this hotel because the atmosphere was so pleasant and the staff so caring. I would love to come back in the summer just to check out the pool!!! I would most highly recommend staying at this hotel! January 26, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rude Front desk We were in town for our daughter's basketball tournament. The girls were staying at another hotel. The parents wanted to get together to watch the video of the game. One of the parents arranged for the Board room. Another mom arranged for a cake to celebrate a birthday and she was told by the front desk that we could not have it in the board room since it was against hotel policy. Shortly after the mom came in the room, the lady at the front desk came pounding on the door and told us "The party is over!" She was VERY RUDE and could have handle the situation in a more professional manner. There were several guests who were not involved in making the arrangements for the room and did not deserve to be treated so badly. I understand hotel policy but having been in the customer service industry for several years, I also so know there are exceptions. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good overnight stay We stayed at the HI Johnstown while making a trip to Western New York. It was a convenient stopping place to spend a night. The room was clean and comfortable. Our only criticism is that the shower was very narrow and the enclosure didn't keep water from spraying on the floor. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great restaurant and staff - rooms need cleaning The waitstaff and the hotel's general staff are great! The food in the restaurant was very good and it's great to be able to stay at a Holiday with a nice restaurant. The mattresses (we had 4 rooms) were sunken in and appeared aged or of lower quality. Very poor support from these mattresses. The dust buildup on the night tables and all along where the carpet meets the walls was very noticeable. The AC unit was very dirty. There appears to be a lack of regular attention to such details. December 24, 2015
