On arrival I was put I a room where a pet had stayed. Allergies started to flare, I asked if there were pets and their response was, 'this floor is we're the pets stay'. They were able to find a room animal dander free. I think they should inform guest that animals stay in certain rooms before you put them in a room.

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn in JT for the past 9 months. The entire front desk and wait staff have been superb, they remember your name, preferences and even remember what you order for breakfast. The rooms are clean and provide all the necessities a seasoned traveler would need. I highly recommend this location and would not consider staying anywhere else during my visits to the Johnstown, NY area.

One of the worst places to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had dinner there and the hotest butt crack was showing and try to pull up and didn't wash her hands after that.The towels and bed gave me a rash and it is still not gone either.Just the wrost place to stay..

Possibly the worst shower I have ever seen from a design point of view. No door, just a half wall of glass so you have to get wet with cold water to turn the shower on. No curtain so any splashing soaks the floor of the bathroom causing a trip hazard every time. The only way to prevent it is to cover the floor with excess towels.

We enjoyed the ease of check in, access to our room was great and the convenience of the restaurant. The food was excellent.

Great Renovated hotel
It's hard to come across a well maintained / renovated hotel in such an isolated area. Haven't tried the breakfast/food though.
Would def stay here again.
Only have it 4/5 on memorable experience b/c of nothing that the hotel did but more so of the location.

Food was above average and servers were great, however in the lounge the personnel are not dialed in on service. several times the personnel left his/her station for extended periods of time while customers waited. They do not conduct business very professional. If this hotel wants to be a notch above the rest FIX THE LOUNGE AREA PERSONNEL. Rooms are GREAT and well above most in comfort, front desk personnel were very professional....did I mention the rooms were very clean.
I would stay again, however will not go to the lounge.

Our family and friends recently stayed at this hotel for my mother -in-law's funeral. The hotel staff members were polite and helpful!
The hotel had been remodeled, since we last stayed here, and it was very nice. We had a funeral luncheon, and everything went very well. The staff even helped us display some pictures and flowers on a long table for the luncheon guests to view. Many of our family members were young adults, so we kept the bar open until closing on both weekend nights, as a place to congregate and visit, and the bartenders were excellent. The Holiday Inn became our home during this sad time, and they did everything they could to make us feel welcome.

I will probably never have a reason to visit the Johnstown/Gloversville area again but if I did, I would definitely return to this hotel. My wife and I were extremely impressed the entire facility. The attention to detail in every aspect from check in, to the cleanliness of the grounds, the building and our room. The staff and management were extremely attentive and personable. Overall, it was a great experience. I am not one to take the time to write reviews but in this case, I had to make an exception. For those travelling in this part of the world, I would highly recommend doing out of your way to stay here. You won’t be disappointed. This Holiday Inn gets a 5-star rating from a business owner that is very demanding. My wife, Cindy, agrees.
