As a platinum member, I ordered 2 different rooms, under my account. When we arrived, all they would give me was one bottle of water and one candy bar. They would not give my father a water bottle and candy bar, because he was not a platinum member, but the room was purchased by me. Most Holiday inns give better perks to platinum members. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business in a rush I use this hotel frequently on my business travels. I arrived late, the dinning room was still opened and feeding. AMEN! Room was clean and well kept. I only wish the dark carpet would be changed out for brighter cheerful colors. (just a personal preference). The dark wood and interior is nice and rich; but it grows old in each and every holiday inn I travel too. I recommend to any traveler. August 3, 2013

We traveled almost 3 hours so appreciated the ability to freshen up and change our clothes before the 1 pm event. Room was clean and well appointed. Very convenient to the reception hall downtown. Did not appreciate the early knock on door of the cleaning staff on Sunday morning. Seems like that should be tied to an actual checkout event for each particular room. Breakfast buffet food was of poor quality by the time we got to it after 10 am Sunday. Staff was friendly at all times of our visit. August 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel with view of the Incline This was the second time we stayed at this property. It was also the second time we asked for, and received, a room which afforded us a view of the Incline...nice! The hallway outside our room was very dirty and appeared not to have been vacuumed in some time. That was off-putting; however, once inside, our room was clean and the beds were comfortable and included an assortment of pillows for that perfect "fit." The bathroom showed signs of wear, but the rest of the room was in great shape. We chose to eat at Harrigan's inside the hotel. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed to be in an ill humor and wasn't particularly friendly. My wife's turkey burger arrived nearly completely raw and had to be sent back. That being said, the food was tasty once fully-cooked. We decided to try the gelato and that proved to be a mistake...not because of taste (it was delicious) but because of the serving size in relation to price. We both received what amounted to half a scoop and the cost was $6.50 each! We literally paid $13.00 for what amounted to a single scoop of gelato. That was criminal. Finally, our waitress gave us someone else's check which resulted in a bit of confusion to finish things off. Still, I realize anyone can have a bad day, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt... This property is located close enough to walk to the Incline, though the neighborhood one must pass through seems a bit questionable so do keep alert...but don't let it stop you from enjoying a nighttime ride on the Incline for spectacular views of downtown Johnstown. Overall, this Holiday Inn is a nice place to stay. The lobby is exceptionally well done and the desk staff is very pleasant, friendly and professional. We will definitely be back! July 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms and hallways could use a facelift Have stayed here numerous times over many years. The hallways and rooms are getting a little tired. Prices have gone up and I did not like being charged for parking or having to pay in advance to get a slightly better rate that was about 10% higher than last year. Toilet did not flush easily, and no one serviced / cleaned the room during my two-day stay. The service in Harrigan's is still very good. I had an event on one of the evenings. Food was very good --- servers were efficient and friendly but somewhat unsophisticated with how to serve wine with dinner. I used the workout center one morning which is sorely lacking in equipment. No weights and no towels. July 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Feelings My room was clean & comfortable. The housekeeper kept my room well supplied. I was shocked the first morning of my stay, when I had no hot water. I left a note for Tracy about the water. She replied she was sorry for the inconvenience & that they were fixing the problem. I thought it was nice of her to be concerned for my problem, which I know she couldn't fix. I wasn't happy that my daughter & grandsons were stuck in elevator, but the majority of my stay was good. Pleasently surprised by the nice facility, but impressed more by the staff's friendlyness and willingness to please. From the man who drove the shuttle, to the front desk and the resturant staff all were very nice. I may not be back to Johnstown for a while, but if I do return the Holiday Inn will be where i will stay. June 3, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will never stay here again This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I've ever had. The first room I was given had a leaking tub. When I asked to be switched to a new room, I was downgraded (and had to cart my luggage to the lobby twice because the key didn't work the first time#. The new room had dirty looking towels, several insects that I had to kill, white splotches on the bed skirt #I don't even want to think about what that was), a dirty shower curtain, paper thin walls, and a non-functional hair dryer. The best part of the stay was the mediocre club sandwich in the restaurant. The staff at check out did not even ask about my stay. Apparently they already knew the answer and didn't want to ask. I would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel. May 13, 2013

This will be my fourth time staying at the Downtown Holiday Inn and each time I have had the pleasure of having a clean, comfortable, quiet, room. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by scary chair and toiletries mix up I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Johnstown many times for business and normally have a great experience, but there were two issues with my last stay. One, I conditioned my hair with body lotion because that's what the staff had placed on the sink. Shampoo and what I thought was conditioner were on the sink together, but after my shower I realized that it was body lotion and not conditioner. I checked my priority club gift bag and found mouthwash and the real conditioner. I'm sure this was just a mistake because the lotion and conditioner look very much alike, but as a woman traveling for work, this was just aggravation after a long day. After my shower I also noticed that the armchair in my room was covered with white stains. I have attached a picture for reference. I steered clear of the suspicious-looking chair and went to bed wondering about the cleanliness of the room. At check out I showed the picture to the front desk who was very apologetic. I later received an email that the stains were residue from a cleaner housekeeping had used the previous day. I have to say I don't quite buy that and if that is the case, you may want to think about using different products. February 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sooo convenient My friend and I stayed at the HI the night before Thankgiving 2012 in order to join other members of my family at their home for the holiday celebrations. I requested a room close to the elevator due the the physical abilities of my friend. We were 3 steps from the elevator and the room was perfect. The comfort of the bedding and pillows, the quiet of the surroundings, the quick check in and the available handicapped parking made this a most pleasant experience. I wil definitely take advantage of the services the HI, Market ST. Johnstown PA has to offer. November 27, 2012

The priority club welcome snack was a bottle of water and a bag of chips for the two of us, found that a little odd. Otherwise, the pool was clean and they have both a hot tub and a sauna.
