This is a large hotel with good service. However, some of the common areas are beginning to show their age. The rooms themselves were fine.

Seems like every room on the bottom floor is muggy and has mildew smells. Definate humidity issue.

I think we stayed in Section A and we felt that there was a smell in your hallways that lingered into the rooms.
Also, it was probably my problem, but I called the front desk to ask about a continental breakfast. The individual told me that you did not, but if you have a restaurant, I would have appreciated if they would have mentioned it. We were travelling and just in and out.

This hotel was very run down and the rooms/bathrooms were not clean. The outside noise and of the other guests was horrible. On the brighter side, the bedding was standard Holiday Inn and clean, but it did not make us rest any easier and it was difficult to sleep knowing we were in a substandard lodging.

I was really disappointed with this hotel. I usually make Holiday Inn my first choice as I did in Joplin, but now I wish I had shopped around. The lobby looks really nice and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. This location needs a makeover of their rooms like no other. I was very put off by the dirtiness of the room. I can only hope my bed clothes had been laundered. There was cobwebs in the corner of our room and dust a quarter inch thick on one of the walls (see photos). The hair dryer didn't work and the TV was intermittent. I had to call the front desk to figure out how to watch regular TV and the front desk helped me out greatly. The TV seemed to work my first night there. When I woke up the next day, we could only get about 6 channels, none of them kids channels to appease my 3 and 6 year olds. When we left the hotel that morning I reported the TV problem and the front desk clerk said she would have a tech come look. 10 hours later, when I return to my room, still no TV progress. They immediately sent an engineer and he said the TV was out of sync with the cable box and fixed it. The next morning, cartoon channels, but just static sound. After a few attempts the sound finally came on. Now to the bathroom, the toilet did not flush very good, so you had to flush 3 times to get everything down. The bathtub had a very slow drain so you took a shower in ankle deep water. Clean the drain already! I'm not sure the standard of cleaning the bathroom while the same guest is there, but I don't think they did clean it in between nights. They just took our towels and left new ones. The cost I paid was about twice as much I would expect to pay with this type of facility.

Damp, Musty smell; Old hotel with lumpy carpet, peeling paint and much needed face lift to the hallways and updating to the entire room. Had trouble with entry keys to both rooms we had. One room had to have the door handle completely removed and fixed. They just moved us to another room when we had trouble with the 2nd room we used. The service from the check-in to the maintenance was great, the entry and commons area very nice. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was ok.

This was not what I ask the call center for. I ask for holiday inn express what I got was a holiday inn which was an old hotel that the carpet was in need of repair the panel on the inside of elevator had been pulled off , the only food place that was open was the bar, the food was not that great I would not stay at this hotel again
