Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Last time I'll stay here My neighorbood friends and I came here for the second year in a row to celebrate New Years Eve. We loved the fact that we could all be together eating, drinking and socializing while our kids swam and danced. While last year was great, this year was a disappointment. There was a rude woman by the pool not letting anyone in or out without a wristband, we couldn't even open the gate ourselves. When she wasn't interrogating guests, she was yelling at the kids for jumping in the pool. I guess excited kids are supposed to walk in on the end. The price of the room jumped this year and then we were notified that we would not be able to bring our own food and drinks next year. The reason we liked to come was so that we could munch on snacks all night and have healthy choices for the kids and not have to rely on bar food. The hotel charges so much for the room, when they go to forcing you to pay for their food and drinks, you better take out a second mortgage to stay here. We will NOT be returning here! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great place for New Year's Eve! What a great surprise! We decided on the spur of the moment to make a reservation and check in here for New Year's Eve. We were hoping for a good dinner at Burdick's and some relaxation in the pool and hot tub. We got way more than we bargained for! There was a fun DJ, games for the kids, music and dancing, drinks of all kinds, and a great party to ring in the New Year! Definitely recommend this to friends and family for next year! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Upscale atmosphere but poor sleep We enjoyed the staff at the hotel, as they were very helpful and friendly. The room was large, although the bathroom was quite small. It was NOT a 2 person bathroom for sure. Very small vanity, and little room for toiletries. We had asked for a pool view room, and was given one on 4th floor at very far end of pool. This was good, because it was during holidays, and pool was a bit noisy. The hot tub was crowded with children, and the water was murky and cool. The pool water, was quite cool, but murky. The curtains in the room did not block light very well. I put pillows underneath, but half of the window width was still exposed at bottom. The temperature of the room was too warm for sleeping - 75 degrees and could not be cooled off. We planned on sleeping in because were fighting the flu, but were awakened twice in the morning by housekeeping, even though we had the sign on the door. I understand that this was due to a miscommunication that we had intended to stay over another night, as we were feeling quite sick. Front desk was informed about these difficulties upon our departure and apologized. Our stay was OK, but nothing I would brag about.... January 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overall very nice Very nice staff. A comfortable kid suite. There was a good size pool and loved the atrium/gathering area. The hotel did have problem 2nd night regulating temps in the atrium and it got pretty cold. *Hotel gave notice that in a few months the hotel would no longer allow food/drink in the atrium. I would not return if this was the case and the hotel will loose lots of business. This would be a very non-family friendly policy. January 1, 2015
