Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Review YKA airport area Location: Fair, just do not go beyond the rear of the hotel. grocery store across the street, few other shop and restaurants in that parking lot. White Spot is located in the hotel. Never experienced a food at this location. Hotel: Is very beautiful with all it's furnishings. Business Centre easily found and facilities. Wifi: Fast, impressed. Room: Furnishings are modern, cozy and warm. Clean with comfortable beds. I'm not familiar with Kamloops, BC. During the day is fine and doesn't seem too bad. However, later I found out it's situated in a bad area; North Shore. I'm not comfortable staying in hotels with an area none for it. The hotel appears to be fairly new and did not see much for staff. I believe the manager worked the day shift on her own and she is very friendly. The night shift guy was not nice. I expressed my concern about the neighbourhood and front desk rolled his eyes at me. I had changed hotels and changed my two night stay to one. I do recommend this hotel if you do not plan to venture out in the evening. It's very nice and convenient for a layover. Shares a parking lot with a library. Hotel manager is very nice and professional. I doubt I'll stay here again, but may reconsider as it was just small issues that had me change my reservation. Oh and the night agent that rolled his eyes at me. May 13, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by North Shore Slumber I've stayed at this newish hotel 3 different times now and each time was a pleasure. The hotel has a soothing colour palette and is very clean. The staff are always super nice and efficient and on my most recent stay Linda was not only pleasant &, efficient but she helped me reactivate my PC membership and she did it all with a smile. Her manner was just excellent and I haven't had such great customer service in such a long time. I love staying at the hotel and always find it relaxing. The cons for me include: pricing which I feel is quite high for the size of the city. Also, while the hotel has a small workout room, pool and hot tub, the strength of the water's movement in the hot tub is quite weak and it would be nice if the facilities included a sauna. White Spot is connected to the hotel for meal service. The food is always good though the service is a little slow. May 1, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible workmanship We have stayed at this property a number of times. This last time we stayed in room 312. We couldn't help but notice that the caulking in the bathroom ( along the floors and bathtub) were applied using a spatula. Terrible workmanship. I realize this maybe harsh but if you have been recognized as the number 1 Holiday Inn in Canada as your sign states then somehow your maintenance staff didn't get the memo. Management should be checking their work. It won't take long for you slide to a lower level if this kind of work continues. Just being honest and concerned about Holiday Inn March 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Highly Recommend I have been a Priority Club member for years. At least 5 years, and the payoff has been substantial. I am thankful that periodically, we receive upgrades and it is a perk of being a Gold Member. The upgrade allowed myself and my husband to maintain our sanity and watch our own television shows. He wanted to watch hockey and I wanted to watch the news. So in the end it worked out. The Holiday Inn Suites are very comfortable, especially for my whip lash. So thank you for having such a wonder site in Kamloops. January 29, 2013
