Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable Bed, but cramped room
The bed was quite comfortable. The room had a strange layout and felt cramped, too much furniture for such a small room. You could only see the TV from 1 bed. The phone was over on the desk in a cubby hole by the bathroom and the phone cord was not long enough to move it to the nightstand. This did ensure that when I got my wake up call, I was up.
They had complimentary coffee in the lobby very early in the morning, which was great. On my first morning, I went to the restaurant for the breakfast buffet at about 8:00AM. I had to wait for about 30 minutes before the hot food was available. The waitress was very apologetic. She was the only reason I didn't leave and go somewhere else for breakfast. The food was good.
I had dinner in the restaurant one evening. The chicken dinner was very good.
My Verizon phone quit working on Sunday morning. The gentlemen working the valet service were GREAT. They helped me find a Verizon store and gave me great directions on how to get there, so I could get my phone fixed.
I would stay at this Holiday Inn again when travelling to Kansas City.

Great location for walking access to downtown locations. Parking garage right across the street.

My opinion is that this hotel is unacceptable in all areas except the friendliness of staff.
