Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to IHG standards Aside from this location close to the interstate, no reason to stay here. Long line to check in, then we were checked into a room that was already given to another guest. Luckily they stopped us just as I was opening the door. Went back to the desk were I was literally ignored for several minutes before given another room. We were given complimentary tickets to breakfast as a Platinum Elite member, but no upgrade. Older hotel, perhaps there are no "upgrades" ? Put in a room by the pool, but no door out to the pool, you have to go all the way back to the entrance to get there. Same group of drinkers sat right outside our room by the pool both nights we were there so couldn't even open curtains to enjoy the view (not access) of the pool. Seriously NOT the standard we have found at many other IHG properties. August 21, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for Family But not for Business Travel Hotel has an indoor pool atrium which made for loud times and kids noisy in the halls at times. The families were having a great time but for me on business it was to intrusive. The AC unit in my room was also very loud and with the ice machine in the hall just a couple of feet from my door, it made for several un-restful nights. You need to move the ice machine to an alcove and upgrade your AC units to new quieter units. August 16, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Averge experience The main complaint was that there was no bedding for the sleeper sofa. We discovered this when we were getting ready for bed at 10:15pm. We had to go to the desk to request bedding because the phones were also not working. We went back 3 more times and finally gave up and went to sleep at 11:20 still with no bedding for my son on the sleeper. He had a pillow and we had pulled a blanket from the king bed. During one of the trips to the desk we were told they were searching rooms and had sheets in the dryer. :( We were needing a good nights sleep for Worlds of Fun the next day. Finally at 11:40 housekeeping brought the sheets/blanket but not the pillow we asked for. We did complain and got a discount on the room for the 2nd night. We have stayed at this hotel for 3-4 years in a row while visiting Worlds of Fun. It's a great location, right down the street from there. This year the staff and service were a bit of a disappointment. It was evident they were young, didn't care as much about their appearance and didn't have a lot of experience. They were friendly and tried to help but it was not the quality you expect. August 16, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely horrible experience This hotel was shockingly awful for what I expect from a Holiday Inn. Our reservation was for five people - two king beds. When we got there however, they said that they only had a room with one bed available & they brought up two rollaway mattresses. The mattresses were gross with thin, stiff blankets on it and when I woke up in the morning, I was covered in questionable spots. Our room had crickets all over the place (I saw at least four in the bathroom alone). When I went to seek resolution the next morning, there was a long queue of people to complain about issues they had with their stay. I don't recommend this hotel at all. It's better to stay somewhere further away from Worlds of Fun and make the drive than be exhausted after a night of tossing and turning. August 14, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Be patient Checked in at 0200 on 01Aug15 (res. for 31Jul15) had to wait 20 minutes for the system to update.. OK reasonable.. Then get my key, go to assigned room.. room lock not working, ok.. wait for it..... Go to take a shower now mind you it is now 0300 in the morning and BAM.. no hot water... How do you not have hot water @ 0300? I travel a lot and this is not the place for me.. All the front desk could do is offer 5000 points. August 12, 2015
