Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn at Worlds of Fun The staff was very courteous when we checked in at the last minute for 6 nights. Unfortunately, the coffee at the front desk was out of regular coffee half of the time. We didn't get a free breakfast each day as we were told (after we had eaten breakfast the first day and had to pay for it) that the free breakfast wasn't included in our "rate." One day after 6 p.m. I called the front desk because our room hadn't been serviced and asked if we could get some towels as our room hadn't been serviced. I expected to get the person to say that they would send someone up right away to service our room, instead I got "how many towels do you want." I didn't think this was acceptable. When checking out, I was asked if everything was okay and I told them again about the room not being serviced and was just told "I'm so sorry about that." The room was very clean and comfortable, although I also didn't get coffee service equipment twice which is why I went to the front desk coffee station. May 21, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Specifically booked at this hotel to be able to relax in the hot tub. It was not functional. This was disappointing to say the least. I expressed my concern to the manager, who claimed they didn't have time to update the site. Since I booked online there was nothing she could do except give us two free beers at the bar. We should have left then, before we saw the awful room. We didn't bother to report these following issues to the manager, as she made it clear nothing would be done. Anyway, the air conditioner ran constantly and very very loudly. Despite its apparent hard work, the room never managed to cool below 77 degrees. The hot water in the shower took 10 minutes to heat up. The tv signal went out. Even though we paid for breakfast, we had to visit the front desk for the required coupons since they didn't provide them. Even then we only got them for one day even though we paid for two. The breakfast was pretty good though. On our last day a staff member entered our room without knocking. I have had much better experiences at the shady, gross, budget hotels in the "bad" part of town. May 19, 2015

Firstly we showed up at 3 p.m. to check in told us we couldnt the rooms weren't ready come back later so we went and ate for 1.30 hr came back still no rooms available so we waited tell 5:30 and they finally got a room for us all they said was sorry didn't offer a discount or a upgrade just a free breakfast which we already had plans for. Very Very horrible customer service horrible attitudes and management ! We also asked about the hot tub which was out of order for some time the website didn't specify this at all we came here and paid more than other places because the indoor hot tub. Got to the room looked like they just made the bed and called it good to finally get us in there very very dissapointed . We also lost $50 because we bought early bird tickets to the Kansas city royals game to watch batting practice and couldnt make it due to ckeck in at 5:30 also was late to the game due to there problems. I would not recommend this place to anyone !!! May 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff KNOWS what customer service is!! Comfortable beds and pillows. Bedding is comfortable. Thermostat in my room worked great! Easy access to floors whether using the elevator or stairs. The buffet breakfast is ok, selection and flavor could be better but it is ok. Television and channels are good. Furniture in the rooms are good. Rooms are not too bad with keeping the noise out. I have been there twice and I have not heard much of anything whether staying in a room that is on the pool side or the exterior. I will be staying there again. Last but not least.....EVERY staff person I had any type of contact with was professional in every aspect. This location KNOWS what customer service is about......I am thankful for that! May 14, 2015
