Learned on this visit that the hotel will be an Adams Mark April 6th. Very disappointed. I'll miss the 15th floor suites, shuttle to Royals games,Tessi the bartender, Candace and the girls at the front desk and others. With no Priority Club points I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Independence when on business in this area now.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nell77 Suprised by the traffic and filth
Upon arrival we couldn't check in till 4:00 pm, and decided to stop at the restaurant for lunch. The food was great. A man approachedus and said his name was Steve, sales manager. He was friendly and polite and asked if there was anything he could do to make our experience great. We took our chances and asked for an early check in because the kids were tired from traveling.(even though the rude lady at the front desk told us no way) Steve came back within miniutes with a room key for us and for our friends on the way! He went above and beyond! When we headed up to the 8 th floor we saw that the hallways were trashed, but excused it because we were early, and thought it hadn't gotten done yet. Our room was clean, but the a/c didn't work and there was no toilet tissue. The halls NEVER got vacuumed, and remained dirty with sand and debri.. The water park was open to the public which was unfortunate for the guests because it was SO packed I couldn't keep track of my kids. My over all review was that it was dirty and overbooked. There were cigarettes and beer bottles out front at the entrance as well as trash cans overflowing with trash. I am a smoker, but still feel there should be a designated smoking area AWAY from the main entrance. I would recommend more staff like Steve. Not because of the early check in, but he was ready to accommodate us in any way. Also Mimi at the restaurant was quite nice. The Buffett was impeccable! Best we ever had, yet it did mot make up for the filth. We were very disappointed, and most likely willnotbeback. Hopefully Steve can whip the cleaning staff into shape, and turn things around. You need more people like him.. Professional go getters who care..

My family and my wife's extended family stayed at this hotel so we would have easy access to the waterpark. We asked for our rooms (3) to be next to each other, or at least on the same floor when we booked. This was not done. Our room was dirty when we arrived. It was cleaned after we made a call. We turned on the air conditioning and plugged in the refrigerator and then left. Four hours later, the room was still hot and the fridge wasn't cold. We called about that and left to eat. Upon returning with our leftover food, neither the fridge nor the room was cool. I called again for maintenance. I have a four year old and a 1 year old. The AC guy showed up at 9:30 (well past bedtime!) and proceeded to work on the room. He said it would start working better. It did not. My son tossed and turned all night long because it was hot and muggy in the room. Therefore, my wife and I didn't sleep much either. Fridge guy never showed up, so our expensive leftovers were ruined as was our milk for our son. I attempted to contact the hotel manager, got his voicemail, and received no return call. I used a large amount of rewards points for this room. I do not feel very rewarded. If we attend the waterpark again, I doubt we will stay in this hotel. We will probably stay somewhere else and drive over.

We booked on a very very busy weekend. One of the elevators was broken. Wait for breakfast line was 25mins but they offered a grab and go breakfast to compensate from the coffee shop. The room was very nice. No noise distractions from siding rooms or hallways. Staff was friendly. Didn't get to visit the waterpark but it did appear nice. Very nice hotel and worth the price. Could view the KC Chiefs and Royals stadium from our room.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PittFam Decent but not awesome experience
Our room was very clean, as was all of the property, however the beds were awful. They were very loud and squeaky and hard as a rock. The staff was not very friendly in any of the areas of the hotel, including Coco Key. They all looked as though they would rather be anywhere but there. We enjoyed the water park, although the water was very cloudy and dirty. Pathways and public areas were clear of trash and not dirty. The food was mediocore for the $14-15/person breakfast buffet, definitely not worth the price. The arcade games were almost all completely out of tickets and the staff was in no hurry to refill them, despite the very people in there and having more than one attendant on duty. They were giving out little slivers of paper with the amount of tickets you had earned. If we go back, we would probably do just a day pass and not spend the night. I have stayed at this property pre-Coco Key and had a good experience and remember the staff being friendlier and far more helpful.

Loved it all! It was easy to get to and find. The hotel was in amazing condition. Really liked the fact that it was connected to an indoor water park, the kids do want to go back!

We had a great time at CocoKey waterpark and were very impressed by the staff at the hotel. The buffet and 2 kids eat free with 1 paying adult was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has been updated some, but does show some age (carpet in the hallways).
For the value the rooms were great, new bedding and decor. We will do this again and suggest it to friends.
