Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Texas business trip My stay was excellent. The staff at the front desk is always warm and friendly. They handled my request for an upgraded room without hesitation. The first room I was given had an issue with the AC unit making noise, I called down to the desk and they moved me without delay to another nice room. Not the first time that I have stayed at this property. The past experiences have been enjoyable as well. The only complaint I have had in the past, not this trip because I did not utlize the lounge, was that the bartender should not take it upon herself to hold out her tip from my change. This happened to some co-workers, as well as myself. A tip is earned, not guarenteed. January 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Hotel Overall the hotel in Kemah was nice as the staff. The only problem was their was a loud constant noise filtering into my room near the AC/Heater. Management said they would look into this unit and would credit my stay. I will go back and stay in another unit, as the hotel is newly updated and clean. January 13, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Review of Kemah Holiday in for early Jan 2015 Hotel very clean, if a bit sterile. Rooms in good condition and bed good. Pillows very large and too fat to sleep on. No coffee in reception, this was not good. Be careful when booking and check if breakfast is included.. An oversight on my part and breakfasts are quite expensive. Bar/grill in evening closed promply at 10pm every night and the server was polite for not friendly. Hotel was very expensive compared to hotels closer to the industrial area. Again, an oversight on my part. The hotel was recommended because it was close to restaurants. This was true but not worth the 45 minutes the drive from LaPorte took at rush hour., Also I am a gold member and this is usually recognised. Its not a big deal but the water bottle would have been nice. AC/Heating unit worked fine (not always the case) January 13, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by recent New Year's Eve stay; great experience We both (my husband and I), felt this is the best hotel we have been in in a LONG time. Everything about the experience was very positive. There really isn't anything negative we could say. My only minor issue was in reference to the closet/bathroom doors. They would NOT stay open and I would have to prop them open or push them back. Overall, we can't wait to return and are planning a long weekend with a bunch of our friends in tow! Well done! Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and bar/grill is good for dinner. Breakfast buffet is a little pricy though for what could be considered a continental breakfast. December 27, 2014
