Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room - very clean but very warm ! Enjoyed our stay - have been to many hotels and some of the staff were the politest I have ever known. Food was good - drinks were very reasonably priced for a hotel ( some places take advantage by over charging ) Would recommend - clean comfortable and very warm - AC needed servicing - This is my only grumble and i'm not easy to please April 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff who put the customer at the heart of every interaction I regularly use the Holiday Inn chain of hotels and must say this one is at the top of my list. It was down to the attentive staff who made me feel very welcome and additionally wanted to go the extra mile at every touch point. An example was when I couldn't access wifi, the receptionist offered to came to my room to assist, when she was unsucessful she didn't stop there, instead she continued to search for a solution which included contacting an off duty colleague. This is just one example of the superior service I experienced at this hotel. Thank you. March 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Breakfast but that is all! We have stayed at Holiday Inn Kenilworth both December 2012 and in February 2013 only having returned due to the convenient location. The staff generally try quite hard to please but the fabric of the building does not lend itself to a comfortable vacation. On a bitterly cold weekend in February room 415 was like a fridge and my daughters room 212 was like a sauna! The heating system is ready for complete overhaul. The soft furnishings in the bar area are completely worn out and one of the sofas is actually dangerous in that there is no padding under the fabric on the wooden frame. The bar area is also very cold with a very stiff wind coming from the entrance doors on each occasion that the smokers come in and out to the party function room. Secondary doors are required at entrance to the bar area. The bar service is very poor. The (very junior) bar staff try hard but management must be very poor. No Baileys available on a Saturday night, it all apparently having been consumed on the Friday but no replacement provided. Asked for three cappuchino coffees on Saturday night, it took the staff twenty minutes to provide with each coming at seven minute intervals. The first was cold before the the third arrived! Explained as a problem with equipment which obviously is worn out. And just don't ask for a hot chocolate because you will be even more disappointed! The only quite good feature of the hotel was the one evening meal and our breakfasts which were very enjoyable though quite expensive. On our second visit in February we were not recognised as Priority Club Members and our room was not ready on arrival till 3pm. However we were supplied with complimentary tea whilst waiting. I will be looking for alternative accomodation on our next visit to Kenilworth. March 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Change the menu Overall I like staying here when I am on business in the area. The rooms are comfortable and I always get a good nights sleep though the pillows could be softer. It's a business hotel so no character but also no problems staying there which is what you want - no hassle. The service is minimal in the sense that it is not friendly and staff don't go out of their way to help but they are not rude either and are unobtrusive which I quite like. My main criticism is that the menu does not change, so if you stay often as I do you quickly get tired of the food, but there are ther places to eat in Kenilworth. March 5, 2013

A reception that is only allowed to do what the American IT system allows Clean and well refurbished, with an aircondition that is noisy and either too cold or too warm A worn down staircase and 2 slow elevator Little water in the shower if you happen to be above 3’d floor.
