Really good beds and pillows make this, just off the interstate, location a great place to stay. And should it be warm enough, the pool is a great spot for relaxation.

We travel a lot with the various running teams my daughter belongs to. This trip was for the Region XIII Jr. Olympics. We always stay at a Holiday Inn because of their wonderful points program.
This hotel had the largest suites we have ever had, and a wonderful design where the suites surround a big outdoor pool. Second floor rooms all had balconys, and first floor had sliders out to the pool area. It was great for the girls to be able to swim and play after a hard day at the track.
The staff was very helpful and nice. I plan on staying at this hotel when we go up for XC Jr Olympics in the fall.

Erica, the representative at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. She has given my family and I the best customer service we have experienced in the hotel industry.
If only all the front desk professionals were like her!
Our bathroom in room 113 had a leak from the ground which needs attention.
The gym weightlifting machine needs to be upgraded to a better one as its limited in use.

After an unexpected layover in Seattle, we were routed to the Holiday Inn Express in Kent. A van was sent to pick us up from the airport and shuttle us to the hotel. The driver was very friendly and prompt. Upon arrival, the staff behind the front desk. greeted us warmly and with great courtesy. We asked for recommendations for dinner and the manager (Keith, I think) made a great suggestion and then they shuttled us there and back. The girls who were the drivers were exceptionally friendly and eager to please. Great Girls! We found our room to be comfortable, the bed relaxing and comfy, to our weary bodies, and there was no noise from the hallway heard while we were in the room. The heated pool was very refreshing and relaxing. Because we were leaving at 6 in the a.m., an hour before their scheduled breakfast time, they prepared 2 "To Go" bags for us. We felt, in every way, the staff were really wanting our experience with them to be memorable. It was a great nights stay and, much needed, night's sleep.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by hjs521 No Microsoft Office?
I had two things I wanted to accomplish before leaving the hotel in the morning: Printing a couple of Word documents and eggs for breakfast. When I logged on to the computer in the business center it did not have Microsoft Office installed, so no printing.
When I went to the dining room for breakfast they had no eggs. I asked the woman working there if there would be more and she said they would be right out. Ten minutes later, still no eggs and, being already behind due to trying to get the computer to work, I had to leave. 0 for 2.
Not happy with my stay.

Carpet in halls are dark and 70ish. TV in room had sound issues. Maintenance stated it's been going on for months..(time to replace??) so we left it on after shutting it on and off until the tuner worked properly. Staff good, recommended light rail to go downtown...friendly..

Was very unhappy with the staff and room/amenities at this location. Check in seemed to be a chore for the young lady and then the room was small, old, and dinghy. Check out followed suit and I could not leave fast enough. Never again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dickens2 Not really a Holiday Inn!
My wife and I stayed here the night before embarking on a cruise from Seattle. We had made reservations nearly six months prior and had stayed at three other Holiday Inn Expresses during our trip. The Kent Holiday Inn was well below the quality of any we have stayed at as Priority members. The front desk personnel greeted us professionally, but the room they gave us was as far back in the property as you can get, with an outside entrance. We drove back there, but didn't even go in the door. Two guys in very old cars were parked in front of the door as was an old unhitched trailer...didn't give us a good feeling. We went back to the front desk and were given an inside room across from a conference room. It was the smallest room we have ever seen...probably given to salesmen who have booked the conference room. Honestly, it was about the size of the usual Holiday Inn bathroom. The funny thing is, when we got on the cruise ship, our stateroom was actually larger than the room at this hotel! The next morning the front desk staff admitted that it was a small room and apologized, but no explanation as to the treatment we received. This hotel is run down and falls below the standards we have come to expect from the Holiday Inn. We would not recommend or stay here again.

I liked the building, but I did not especially love that Double sized beds were the only ones available. For tall people like me, I don't want to pay for King but I don't fit in a Double. Would be nice if they had Queens. But otherwise, perfectly clean and comfortable!!

Our company uses this hotel for staff and executive travel. We have had the best experiences here. Rooms are clean, food is good, amenites are helpful, and the hotel it's self is close to where we want to be. But, best of all is the staff. Front desk is always willing to help out, and Bryan from the sales department helps me every time!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LDCD Excellent staff, clean rooms, good breakfast
Very good experience. The staff was wonderful and friendly, room was very clean. Pillows were to soft would bring my own next time. The bed was sagging in the middle very noticeable since I am a heavier set man, but still reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was great much more than your typical continental breakfast. It suited us well and I am a pretty picky eater. No one bothered you if you wanted to have a small bite early and then return a little later for another small bite or more, no one made you feel like you were not welcome. Great staff, what can I say. I will come here every time when in Kent. Like I said just wish the bed was a little newer and the pillows firmer.

Everything was clean, but the hotel was a little tired and in need of a facelift. Staff was superb and the cookies in the evening were wonderful. We spent three nights there and hurried back each day just for the cookies!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rg13 good spot for a layover
I had been flying 23 hrs even before hitting the US so I decided that instead of waiting another 8 hrs, for another 8 hr flight I would just go the next day and relax and maybe do some laundry and plus I could use a shower. I had originally booked the seatac holiday inn, but got my days messed up with all my time traveling back and forth and they were not avail on the correct day ~so I cancelled that, and picked the kent hotel.
Upon arrival at the airport we went to the shuttle area, waited a little bit saw a holiday inn shuttle bus and asked if he was going to the kent hotel. The driver told us we had to call them since it was a smaller shuttle. So I gave them a call(there is a airport phone in the shuttle area they are #11) and the guy at the front desk informed me that the shuttle was unavailable because it was doing something away from the hotel at that moment. But he did tell me to take a cab to the hotel and they would pay for it. Fine by me// cost about 20$
When we got to the hotel, from the outside it looked like a standard holiday inn, but when you went inside you noticed the little things that differ. the lobby is nice. we checked in with no problems. then we were given a map to our room :) we were located on the other side of the pool so had to exit the main building to get to the other side. The property itself was nice, it reminded me of different hotel chains, I didnt think it would be detached buildings. Im not sure if the #2 side had a elevator since we were on the second floor, I didnt find it but we just dragged our luggage up the steps.
>> on my walk up the stairs and down the hallway I noticed that the building it self could use a good fresh coat of paint and it would look much nicer but it wasnt terrible.
The room itself was ok, we were upgraded to the suite with the kitchen/living area which turned out great for us since we tried out the room service(pretty good) and had plenty of space to eat.
I liked the view of the pool, and the open balcony not just a sliding window. the beds were what I expected from holiday inn with regards to pillows/bed spreads. Yes they are small but its a double~ clearly stated when you pick the room so no surprise there.
We tried out the pool/hot tub which was fine a nice end to our day. there were even ducks hanging out in the pool with us which was fine by me. They even let you swim pretty close to them. In the am, they were still hanging out in the pool.
The breakfast was ok, there were a ton of people there which i didn't expect Ive actually never seen so many people at a hotel breakfast. They had a buffet style, with a waffle maker that was constantly in use.
Over all I was pleased with my stay,, I would stay again if ever needing a layover.
The shuttle back to the airport was ok, took a little bit longer then the cab but no issues.
My only problem, was that it was clearly a non-smoking room, they stamped my papers and made me sign it, there was a plaque in the room that said the same. Now my room did not smell like cigarettes, but I found 2 cigarette butts on the floor. One in the living area and one in the closet of the bed room.
I do not smoke, neither do the rest of my group, so either the cleaners aren't doing a great job or people are getting away with smoking in the rooms and trying to get the next person in trouble.

Booked a standard room and requested "King Non Smoking".
Room was 2 x Queen Bed and was told that request was for a handicapped room, (not sure where that came from), and that all Kings had sold out. Highly, highly unlikely that they were all "sold", more likely they had been assigned to earlier arriving guests.

This hotel was fine except the Jacuzzi and ice machine didn't work. we stayed there on 5/14 and arrived late and were told Jacuzzi was broken so no big deal. However we returned on 5/17 for another night and were told Jacuzzi was still broken. Then I went for ice and the machines on both floors were out. had to go to the machine outside. Needs some maintenance here. The free breakfast here was great even if it was a buffet. The shuttle service is great. The drivers are so friendly.

The room was located directly underneath the Gym. You can imagine. The refridgerator was so loud we had to unplug it in order to sleep. An uncushioned exit door to the rear parking lot kept opening and slamming shut all night. a plague infected individual across the hall kept hacking and coughing all night.
The Ice machine didn't work. Neither did the one on the second floor.
I guess that's all. I paid top dollar for a place to sleep, didn't get that. To say I as disappointed would be an understatement, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I don't believe this run-down, poorly maintained sorry excuse for a hotel qualified for the Holiday Inn nameplate. If all Holiday Inns were like this one, I'd NEVER stay at HI again. Tip to Holiday Inn? Dump this hotel before it ruins your good reputation.

My husband and I have stayed here a few times before. We always enjoy our stays at this property. Great Staff and value for the price.....But this was beyond our previous stays. My husband arranged a birthday weekend at this hotel and notified the front desk agent when making the reservation. After checking and arriving to our room, Management not only upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite at no charge but also had given us a gift basket with a birthday card and bottle of champagne wishing me a happy birthday!! This was without even asking! It was a very nice and touching gesture. This is what cutomer service is about!! We will continue to stay at this location in the future!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Seattle13 Good shuttle service, terrible room and surprising interaction!
We stayed here on our last day of vacationing in the Washington / Oregon area.
Great: The shuttle service to the airport was very convenient, the drivers were very courteous and polite.
Good: The breakfast was nice with fruit and wonderful omelets.
Bad: The room was bad, with two potholes in the room under the carpet, the toilet exhaust fan was rickety, loud and could not remove the odors from the bathroom, the carpet was stained near the TV cabinet, all in all really not a good room on the first floor. The window would not lock, but my husband fixed it.
Ugly: When we narrated the above to the front desk and mentioned that despite being priority club members we had been given a terrible room, we were suddenly 'acknowledged' as priority club members with a hasty rush of being presented with 3 bottles of water!!! Was pretty funny!
We had 5 consecutive stays at 4 other Holiday Inn properties just preceding this one and it was in stark contrast to the ones we stayed in, the best being the ones in Oregon.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by shaz2 poor service and room was not as promised
I booked a wheelchair accessible room. It was with great difficulty we manuvered the wheelchair into the room. There was a sharp turn immediately upon entry. A larger wheelchair or scooter would find it impossible. We then saw a double bed.Very small for a man with 2 broken feet. Difficult for 2 people to share bed. The bathroom was difficult to get wheelchair in and to find it had no hot water!!! I went to the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. When I said that was not acceptable, they said I could move to the room next door with the same issues but it did have hot water. They also said they couldn't remember the last time anyone had used the wheelchair rooms. The night was terrible as things were constantly being moved above us.We were relieved to leave. This was our worst night ever at a Holiday Inn. When talked with the front desk I did suggest they tear a wall down between rooms to make it possible for a wheelchair to enter and also allow for a queen or king size bed.

Upon our arrival, and all through our stay the staff was first-rate. Our 2-room suite was very accommodating with a very comfortable bed and a fold-out couch. It was very quiet so we slept well. The breakfast was above average for this level of stay, and to come home and have a cup of hot chocolate took away any Seattle chill.

Great hotel, very quiet even though its right beside the freeway. We couldn't hear it. Room was very clean, and fresh. Front desk staff was excellent, and very helpful with maps, directions etc. The pool was closed due to winter,... Lots of free parking and Mitzel's is on the same property. (Mitzels was just ok)...The hotel is close enough to South Center, and other stores too! Yes we'd stay here again!
