A single parent who wanted to share the Florida keys with my twin 14 year olds. Rooms were fine and clean, the pool areas were excellent to hang out ... location is great with easy accessibility to Dive shops, the State park. Staff were very helpful.

Hotel is obviously in a great location, next to a marina where you can rent boats, kayaks, take cruises, charter fishing boats or hop on a snorkeling excursion. Nice views if you can get upgraded to a marina-view room with a balcony. Also, close to a couple really good restaurants.
However, I found the property to be a bit old and tired and in need of a good updating. Bathrooms are very small and could use some new vanities. Lighting in the bathrooms is almost too bright and in need of some upgrading as well. Bedspreads, curtains, furniture and carpet all could be modernized and freshened up. You can constantly hear noise from other guests in the hallways, particularly doors slamming early in the morning which is very disruptive to relaxation and sleep.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bobbie17 Highly overrated, impersonal service
For the price I expected more: reception like a robot service, if something asked twice, receptionist already irritated. Room not clean, old, dirty, stained carpets, extremely loud aircon. Free breakfast rate was still accompanied by a bill to sign in the breakfast room, which when asked why is necessary, the answer was that it is only for gratuities. We found this method very pushy for a breakfast coffee serving.
Hotel does not meet Holiday Inn standards in our view but it seems that in Key Largo hotel can survive even with this attitude.
