Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What next??? I'm not usually one to complain, but I think that this warrants it. To start my mother and I's stay, we were outside in the freezing cold trying to get in the doors. We tried them all! I then drove around to the front again and the girl on the desk had to give me 2 new key cards that were activated. Those one's worked. Then when we got in the room, I couldn't connect to the internet. I called the front desk and someone came to the room to help. He told me that it was down in the whole hotel. Then the television wasn't working properly. Every time I tried one of the guide channels it said "not available". My mother wanted to make a cup of tea and the coffee machine didn't work! She tried for about 30 minutes and nothing. So I called the front desk again. A different guy came to the room and told us the coffee maker was broken. My 76 year old mother then ended up making it in the microwave. But the gentleman said that we could get a complimentary breakfast in the morning which was nice. But, it doesn't end there! The heater in the room could not be adjusted. We had 3 settings basically, high, low, or off. My mother couldn't sleep with the noise, so we had to shut it off! So then all we could hear was the toilet that was continually running on and filling up again about every 5 minutes! We both had finally drifted off to sleep and the fire alarm started going off!!! This was at 11:50pm and went on for about 10 - 15 minutes. So I guess I have a reason to complain taking into account that the last time we stayed in that exact same hotel in 2011 for my daughters wedding and we had to change rooms at 2:30am because the toilet overflowed! Not a good experience--BOTH times!!! January 27, 2015

Room was very good as well as the rest of the hotel. my only negative comment would be the price , as i thought it was a little high which did not include breakfast. January 26, 2015

This is the nicest Holiday Inn I've been in to-date, I didn't use all of the amenities b/c of the briefness of my stay - but I suspect I will choose this site for future stays without question. I picked it originally b/c it was less expensive than other brands for the area. :) January 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to stay in Kitchener No more. I have said more abut my stay than I normally do, expect for one point. When I opened the door to the room I was blasted into neverland by the temperature of the room. I had to open the Patio Door for a while, five minutes or so, and turn on the air conditioner to lower the temperature. Once this was done the room temperature was good and I slept really well. My travel mates experienced the same problem in their rooms. The Hotel is wasting a lot of energy. January 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by amenities I wanted to purchase some snacks and was directed way to the other side of the hotel and was told it was located by room 2something. Never did find it and gave up. The vending machines in my location only had drinks and ice. The snack bar at the Holiday Inn in St. Catherines Ontario are to be envied by any hotel. The restaurant was good, although a little pricey for dinners. January 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay I loved the new updated room, it's nice to have flooring instead of carpet. The heated bathroom floor was heavenly. Bedding was very nice and pillows too. My only complaint was the bed was a little too firm for me. January 21, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overbooked I received a confirmation stating that I was booked into a room with 2 double beds which is great for a family of 5. But when I arrived we were given a room with a King bed and a single pull out bed. Needless to say it was not very comfortable with 4 people in the King bed. Basically I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. So they literally did nothing to make our stay better. January 21, 2015
