Very nice hotel, everything was clean and well maintained. The food was above par and the service was wonderful. A great 2 days of business away from home.

The hotel was very clean and nice. The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean. BUT, the Common Ground coffee stand in the lobby area was staffed by a very rude woman. My wife mispronounced 'macchiato' when she was ordering and the woman very coarsely corrected her, I felt like leaving but ordered anyhow. My wife felt embarrassed by the woman behind the counter and other customers cringed. The next day we were looking for another cup of coffee and the gate was 3/4 of the way open, I wasn't sure if this meant they were open or not so I asked through the gate. The same woman was working again and said very sarcastically, "I guess we are NOW!". We started walking away before she coaxed us back. I would advise avoiding the coffee shop unless you want to feel belittled. We did enjoy the rest of our stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Rest in Knoxville Convenient to Downtown, inconvenient for rest
Stayed on the highest floor (11th) but thought we were sleeping in a car on a busy roadway. It did not seem like there was any sound insulation. I can't imagine how much louder it must have been closer to the actual ground level - 3rd floor. Was not outfitted with the normal luxurious sheets and comforters that have become a hallmark of holiday inns. Hotel is conveniently located close to Downtown and University of Tennessee. Staff very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the noise is unreal and not a simple fix given how the hotel is situated. A little extra acoustical insulation during construction would have made this hotel a definite consideration for return visits, but even heavy sleepers may find it a challenge to get rest through the night here.

In for the night on a business trip. Check-in was prompt, room was clean/orderly, plenty of electrical outlets, WIFI was fast and enabled me to get plenty of work done. Room Service was prompt and good, Chicken Caesar Salad and a decent bottle of wine. Only issue I heard from a coworker was that breakfast is not served until 6:30. However, when she called room service they advised they don't open until 6:30, but they did have oatmeal ready and went ahead and brought it up to her (this was right around 6:00) So, even that was impressive.

Our stay was excellent overall.
I would like to especially compliment Dominic at the front desk who was always helpful and professional.
Also Charles and James who handled luggage and the shuttle.
Both were knowledgeable about the area and did not only recommend places to eat and visit but went out of their way to
point out things of interest when we were going somewhere.
