Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff deserves a raise I was just so impressed with the staff of the hotel. They were genuinely friendly and willing to help you out. I liked that they greeted me in the morning and seemed to really be concerned with my stay. I would definitely stay there again, just because of the staff. November 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bed was very comfortable and service was excellant My stay was much better than I would have expected. November 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Knoxville Heating/cooling is noisy. everything else was really excellent. very friendly and helpful staff. November 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday I ever stayed in From check in to check out, I can't remember a staff being so friendly and helpful. Just love the place. Clean, roomy and a nice large lobby. The only thing, get a room on the park side, The sreet side is kind of noisey November 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome staff and services I have stayed at other hotels in the Knoxville area. This Holiday Inn by far is the best. Room s are clean, beds are comfortable, staff is very friendly and helpful. Bar lounge was a great place to hang out before ballgames. Great location!! Will definitely be staying here again! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and awesome location I always stay at the Holiday Inn Worlds Fair Park when I go to Knoxville. The location gives you great access to the Downtown, Convention Center, UT campus, and the highways. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions. November 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast not included Great hotel only negative on it was I surprised that breakfast was not included for the price. October 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for UT Football Games Great service and convenient to Neyland Stadium. Very festive, fun atmosphere on game day. October 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Attended SEMC annual conference The room was very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The only problem I had was with the outside noise at night because the room was on the front side of the building facing a major highway and a fire department. Motorcycles, cars with loud mufflers, ambulances headed to the hospital, and fire trucks kept me awake until 2-3 a.m, when activity finally calmed down. The meeting spaces were plentiful and very adequate for our group of about 500. The hotel was very convenient to museums and the free bus service. Everyone in Knoxville was very friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Accomodations I was attending the Southeastern Museum Conference annual convention, which was held within the museum, and was very happy with the accommodations and services of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and I never felt as though I was imposing on their time with my questions. They were knowledgeable about the area and even gave advice and coupons/ tickets to dining and services establishments as they were available. I did not eat in the restaurant but there were lunches during the convention that I believe were prepared by the hotel. I found this tasty and appropriate. The wait staff and bartenders were very efficient and very friendly at all the events they maintained. The rooms were clean. There were FOUR pillows on each bed in my room. Very nice. The furniture was in good shape and well maintained. There were no unexpected "sticky" spots where food or drink was spilled and overlooked (not uncommon I have learned) The hotel is located in a very active area. It is close to many restaurants, the market square, the theaters, the World's Fair park, University of Tennessee, the art museum, and the convention center. All of these are within 5 or 10 minutes walk from the hotel. October 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An updated 1970s hotel The updates to the rooms are attractive, but.... When they updated the rooms they made the hotel "green," so you have to leave your key card in a wall slot to work the heat/AC. That's fine and dandy unless you want to lower the temperature. Instead of the heat just not kicking on for a while the AC kicks in. Not a good alternative. They left the old wall heat/AC units in, so it's noisy and the drapes blow all night. The place does not have sound proof glass, so it's noisy even on the 9th floor. The food in the restaurant was typical hotel fare. The breakfast staff was WONDERFUL (thanks, Michelle for being terrific). The dinner staff basically ignored us. The meeting rooms were a little claustrophobic -- I can't imagine they can actually be divided into smaller incarnations. October 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK Walls were thin with outside noise. Toilet paper rough. Breakfast inferior. Room was comfortable. October 26, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not that great for the price Arrived early, told room will be ready between 1:30 and 2:00, come back at 2:30, told room won't be ready till after 3:00. Tiny bathroom, horrible view of parking lot. To top it off they charged the wrong card! They billed me on the credit card I booked the room with online, not the one I gave them on arrival and when I checked online it showed a double charge (the second charge was removed the next day before I could call to complain). Overall: not that great and an unimpressive staff. October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Experience The staff were great, the room was very comfortable. Would've liked for there to have been a refridgerator in the unit. Overall great October 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice but noisy This was a clean, updated hotel with friendly staff. The major downside was the traffic noise that seemed to go on all night. October 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 It's all about location Very close to downtown, in a very pleasant setting is the best thing about this Holiday Inn. Very helpful and attentive staff on check in. The hotel seems primarily geared to conventions, conferences and events as might be expected given its location so lacked a bit of life on the Sunday night we arrived. The breakfast on the executive floor was of poor standard and the actual breakfast area environment could have been better and cleaner. We were unsure whether the 'hostess' was there to help us or to make sure we didn't make off with extra supplies - it was that kind of atmosphere. No problems with wifi for my laptop but my wife's i-pad would not connect despite the best efforts of the staff. If you are looking for a hotel close to downtown Knoxville this is pretty good October 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel all around Never any issues with this property. Clean and convenient to all we do in Knoxville. October 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Last Minute Accomodations Last minute reservations, and the price was right with AAA rate and a little haggling. Faced a busy street, so the traffic noise was a little loud. October 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and comfortable This hotel was convenient to the downtown and the civic center next door. Located in the city where a park is close by and accessible restaurants and bars. October 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality for price Good experience overall. Our room faced the street side of the property and there was some noise associated with sirens during the night. No other complaints. October 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location Bathroom too small and no fan or window, otherwise very nice. October 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Bed and excellent Staff amd service It has been a very good experience. Also Holiday Inn is quite cloese to the city center. October 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Nice rooms, good parking, great staff. Very glad we stayed downtown October 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location I have been to Knoxville on 5 different occasions and have stayed at other hotels, I would choose the Holiday Inn on every returning trip. The convenience of the hotel in relationship to what we like to do is prefect. It's walking distance from good restaurants and areas of town. It's easy to get to UT campus. The hotel itself is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 University of Tennessee visit Very comfortable beds. Clean.. will always stay here when we come to town. Great location for a U of Tennessee visit. Everything in walking distance. Staff is A+. October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was fantastic! From the time I arrived until the time I left the staff was exceptional. They were kind, attentive and accommodating. Smiles all over the place. Room was comfortable and location was good to enjoy my UTK Homecoming festivities. October 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by They don't walk it but they talk it Green. Sustainable. All buzz words but, if you talk it and don't walk it, who are you fooling? The standard "hang your towel up if you want to reuse it" has become a running joke for us that travel a lot and try to keep our carbon footprint in check. I hung my towels up as instructed and low and behold, had all new towels every day. Why bother pretending? October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Business Right across from the Knoxville Convention Center. I was very impressed with this hotel's attention to energy conservation. You put your room key in a slot to change the thermostat and turn on lights. The room was very clean and the hotel was superior. I would probably request a room away from the street next time, the traffic noise was a little distracting at night. May try to stay here for game day some time - was looking at their packages and they seem to have a great line up of activities and a shuttle to the stadium. October 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Knoxville Holiday Inn Rooms smell musty, have to pay to park, no complimentary coffee other than what is in the room. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by UTK Homecoming I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The Breakfast Buffet was great. The only draw back was the air system was very loud during the night which made sleeping a challenge. However, I would recommend and stay at this Hotel again. During Homecoming there is a lot of excitement, too. October 13, 2014
