I stayed at this Hotel as part of a business trip in March 2013. I was greeted upon arrival by very friendly and helpful staff who very quickly checked me in and sorted my room. Thomas was extremley helpful and friendly.
The whole hotel is perfect, clean and joy to stay at, just wish I had longer to stay and enjoy this hotel more.

I have stayed at many hotels in the last 45 years and the Holiday Inn Glenmarie Kuala Lumpur is one of the best.
It is a most relaxing and convenient place (for my business) and the service, atmosphere, rooms and friendliness by all staff is exceptional.
I will always plan to stay here on future Business Trips to KUL.

This HI is a bit far from everything and hence taking a taxi becomes a necessity. The HI provides shuttle service which is a good thing, but the timings are not very suitable. The one thing to watch out for is the "Blue Taxis"- don't listen to the concierge and take the budget taxi instead- costs you 30% less. Allow time for the taxi to arrive. The Pool is average size and the pool service is "wanting"...
The Golf rates are absolutely exorbitant- costs you upto A$ 105 (with club hire) & A$ 135 (with club hire) for 9 & 18 holes.
The one thing I found too late though, was the Traditional Thai Massage - got a great deal for 2 hrs (33A$) - really good service. The massage spa is run by Carol (1/ aussie 1/2 chinese) & her staff are very talented. Highly recommended - cab fare to the spa is abt 10MR one way.
I really expected much more from this hotel as I've been to quite a few HI's around the world.

As we have friends nearby we only use the hotel for sleeping, swimming and the Internet. The bed and pillows are excellent and a pleasant change from where we stayed in Langkawi. We live in England and always stay at the Holiday Inn Glenmarie when we visit our friends.
We would always recommend this hotel to friends and others. Booking in advance represents excellent value for money.

I want to thanks all the employers (reception, bar,restaurants) for their great professionality and kindness. It is a long time I use to go to this hotel that is now like a second home for me. A special word for Mr. Ramiz and Miss Yvette that with their disponibility have always faced and solved very fast all my needs making my stay a perfect one.

from my last visit, the Staff was friendlier and recognizably more helpful. i was more surprised that they even recognized me at the restaurant downstairs. Freda was all smiles when i came in for breakfast. she has always been friendly. (not to mention the nice staff at the lounge too).
i wish i could relax more and enjoy the property, but as always, my business schedule has always been hectic...run, run, run. maybe, next time.
and because of this hectic schedule, i hardly had time to enjoy the piano playing and the nightly music at the lounge. again, maybe, next time around.

I had the privilege to stay at Holiday Inn Glenmarie, Shah Alam on two occasions with my family. On both occasions, the staff greeted us with full of enthusiasm. The room was great with truly comfortable beds and pillows to keep you wanting to come back for more stays. The environment in the room as well as the surrounding areas were clean, serene and quiet.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Positives : Internet is very fast , Wonderful breakfast Variety and staff were greats and very Kind
the Hotel as total is excellent and the entrance is nice , the swimming pool is Ok , Room Services are great
Negatives : nearest market is carrefour must use car to go there... it takes 10 min and 20 MYR to be there ...
Also the nearest public transportation is subang Jaya by car takes 10 min ,nd cost you 20 MYR to be there
The hotel is near to high Voltage current columns
the GYM is far from the Hotel

The room was nice and with comfortable bed.
Things to improve: car park, to have shed walkway from car park, clear signage to rooms, room readiness in time.
Road linkage nearby not convenient.

Stayed for a night under priority club redemption.
Check in experiences was good, with warmth greetings and recognition given for Priority Club members.
Room is okay by standard, nothing much to comment.
However no special amenities was given i.e fruit basket / chocolates / welcome card for Priority Club Platinum member in the room.
Breakfast was great and satisfying.
Overall stay is good.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Glenmarie is ALWAYS a pleasure!!... the beds are so comfortable, the food is great!! and the staff is so wonderful and welcoming... Ramis (the FOM) and his team are so warm and welcoming and ALWAYS ALWAYS accommodating.... Always have a smile for me... can't wait to go back for my next relaxing get away...

I was rather disappointed when we were checked in to the Valley wing rooms. Though it seems to have been refurbished, some things were still not working: the phone, the fridge, the safety catch on the door & the free wifi.
Additionally, there was a lingering musty smell throughout our stay. This was also the case in my friend's other 2 rooms. Fortunately, I asked for some charcoal to absorb the smell in our room so it was more bearable after that.
I was mainly disappointed as I would have thought that since was a quiet weekend ( New Year's Day onwards) and I am a Priority member, the hotel could have allocated my friends and I better rooms.
Nevertheless, the hotel ran an efficient shuttle service to nearby shopping centers and the staff ( from Duty Manager Relina to the concierge and room service staff) were courteous and friendly. They also showed an interest when I fed back the shortcomings to them. And they followed up when they could. So, the staff kind of saved the day (or shall I say, stay).

Location wise this hotel is tucked far from Kuala Lumpur. There is a shuttle service however to Kelana Jaya which is a train stop that connects to the monorail for downtown KL action. The rooms are good. WiFi is excellent. The view from our room is very scenic with the golf course and somewhat KL skyline in the distance. The free buffet breakfast is okay though service can be spotty and ran out of food without being filled. Initial reception service is very good though later on checking out, a staff tried whilst handling my checkout called another guest out asking him his problem, that evolved into a complaint about mosquitoes that went to and fro. Wouldn't it be easier finishing mine first and give the other your 100% later.

The staff are always warm and welcoming.
They greeted me each time I come to the hotel.
They try to accommodate my needs.
On the downside....
While breakfast always cater to local tastes, there are fewer choices of non-spicy food (other than the usual bread, fruits and eggs).
I have stayed in this hotel for that past two years and I can say that the overall breakfast menu has not changed, probably for those food that I can eat. So I am down to eating bread and chicken sausage and egg almost everyday for breakfast.

Arrived at 04:00 in the night, the German young lady at the reception was the nice surprise of proffesional hospitality, even at that hour of the night!
Great room, only my stay was to short, next time I'll stay longer.
During the morning, while waiting for my drive, the staff even brought (without asking) a nice refreshing fruit drink and refreshment towel!! Great!! Thanks

Nestled in a great Glemarie golf course; excellent hotel for golfers. Fabulous customer service.
The only drawback was the location if you're required to be in Kuala Lumpur often; it will easily set you back at least 1hr from city centre in a favourable traffic condition. If you are a golfer, or someone who enjoys the views of greeneries. It's an excellent hotel to be away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur.

Great welcome and good service. We arrived early, but that was no problem. Spacious room with a great bed and we had a beautiful view of the golf course. We had a delicious dinner at the Japanese restaurant. We spent an evening in the club 'the mix' and that was great fun with a very good band. If we visit Malaysia again, we will certainly come back in this hotel

The staff were very welcoming and it was so nice to come in from work and have the friendly staff at the executive lounge welcome me with a chilled glass juice.
My room was great with a lovely view of the golf course. I had no trouble sleeping, the bed was so comfortable and circumference of quiet atmosphere.
My stay is always comfortable, enjoying and relaxed.

The more I stay in Holiday Inn hotels, the more I want to stick to this group of hotels. Even before I arrive, there was already a greeting email and reminder of my upcoming stay which is one of the benefit as we enjoy the club membership.
My stay is always comfortable, enjoying and relaxed knowing we have carrying staff to always make our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.
I am already planning for my next holiday destination with a stay in Holiday Inn.

I stayed only 1 night for the transit back to Indonesia but I found that the hotel service need to be improved.
1. when our taxi drop us in reception, none of the staff willling to open the car door and help our baggage. the staff keep standing and only watching us.
2. I did not aware that my room is the same level with the reception. Since no body helping us to show our room, we keep trying to go up the lift but failed. I go to the reception to ask and the reception only pointed from the reception area the way to go to our room. It is really dispointed in the first feeling.
3. Entering the restaurant near to swimming pool for the late lunch, we open the restaurant door by our self as all the restaurant staff was busy talking each other. They even did not noticed us for 5mins we are standing near the door waiting for the staffs to serve us. After seen the menus, we decided to go japanese restaurant for the lunch.
5. Late lunch at Japanese buffet around 2:30pm. The waitress did not tell us that the restaurant will be close on 3pm.The cook seems do not really helpfull when the time almost close. Luckily one of the cook, instruct him to cook the food for us, but it left us a dispointed service.
6. Around 6pm, the electricity was turn off. Reception mentioned the whole building's electricity was having problem. The problem solve after 20mins.
7. We planned to have dinner at the chinese restaurant (level 2 of the club house), when we open the door, the engineering staff told us he will call the waitress. After waiting for about 8mins, the waitress give us the menu and let us alone without serving. He said they are all busy for tomorrow function preparation. We left the restaurant without the dinner.
8. As dinner cancelled in Chinese restaurant, we was waiting the suttle bus to go sunway pyramid. I asked one of the reception about if we failed to follow the suttle bus back and wanna to get the contact number of the hotel if we are not be able to get taxi there so that we can ask the taxi hotel to pick us. The reply from the reception guy was really dispointed. He said that there will be a lot of taxi in the shopping area and our hotel also will be difficult to find the taxi for us. I was really dispointed to get this answer and feel not really secure staying in this hotel. It show that the hotel do not really care on the guest safety. He gave me the numbers, but it is meaningless.

Aside from the usual services I expect any good hotel to provide. The hotel staff went well beyond by throwing a goodbye party to my 10 year old daughter and a stuffed teddybear. Thank you all for making our stay memorable.
