We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times as we have family in the area and plan on staying here again. On one of our visits we were given breakfast vouchers for the buffet in the 1750 Bistro. On our last two stays we got no vouchers and paid full price for breakfast. With the majority of hotels providing free breakfast buffets now I think it would be nice if Lansdale gave breakfast vouchers for every stay, especially for IHG Rewards Club members.

The place was clean, and quiet. Beds were comfortable, TV was a decent, newer model. Staff was friendly and helpful. Right off the turnpike. Didn't eat at the hotel. Plenty of places to eat in the immediate area.
See the note on the confirmation about GPS. Mine didn't find Sumneytown Pike. If you put in the address that's stated on your confirmation, GPS will take you right there.
I'd stay there again.

Nice clean hotel right off the Pa. turnpike. Stayed twice within a month...2 queen beds and then the king suite. both rooms had comfortable clean beds but the king suite is worth the extra cost. has a refrigerator and microwave and the room is quite large. front office staff was friendly and professional both stays. Free coffee in the lobby 24 hrs.Only negative is if you
are in the B wing it is a long walk to the elevators down a few steps. a bar and restaurant on site. breakfast buffet has many choices but was it worth $9.00 plus extra for coffee, not really but then again you do not have to drive and look for somewhere to have breakfast. overall it is a very nice, well kept property.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SBC1 Great hotel and room, but room was directly across from ice machine and soda bottle dispenser
I would recommend this hotel, with super friendly staff, and smiles and focus on the guest.
My room was lovely and for the price for all that was offered was fine.
Unfortunately, it was located directly across the hall from the ice machine and the soda dispensing machine. It was very hot and there were sports teams staying at the hotel. No noise from them, but they sure filled their coolers with ice and purchased drinks. Your front desk employee offered to change my room, but I was already settled. She was new, very accommodating, and did not realize that the room location might be problematic for me or anyone.
It was not a problem at night with sleeping, but during the afternoon and in the morning, this guest area was heavily used.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bryan92 Excellent Bar staff
While traveling as frequently as I do, the over all experience here is very good. Primarily due to the on site bar & restaurant. Being able to relax with a few drinks and get something good to eat makes all the difference. The customer attention provided by Steve in the bar is by far the main reason the overall experience is considered as good as it is. He is quick to see what you want to drink, in my case he just verifies it. He provides sincere opinions about what is good to eat. Lets me know when the menu has changed and what is on special.

The handicapped rooms on the second level, second floor are way too difficult for some. We could not have walked it at all. Also, the outside handicapped ramps were in terrible condition. It took a lot to get over the cracks, stones at walks and getting a wheelchair into any BUT the front door (that we couldn't get to our room from). Layout for those disabled is a disaster UNTIL you get into the room.

My started my stay with Kelly at the front counter and ended with Kelly at the front counter. Very polite and made you feel very comfortable. Everyone at the hotel and restaurant inside the hotel were great. I would recommend to anyone.
Our Company used them 2 weeks before and some of the same people came back and they remembered them when they came in..Very Welcoming Holiday Inn.
Clean and quiet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dmbfan285 Pleasantly Surprised
This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn in a very long time and boy was I shocked (in a good way). The hotel looked brand new and had a very nice, large lobby with a bar and restaurant. It looked like something you would find in a more high end hotel. The staff at the front desk was extremely polite. The rooms were very nice (except the sofa couch didnt seem to match the rest of the furniture but oh well). The rooms were very clean and spacious. Overall it was a very nice hotel and would definitely stay again if I was ever in this area.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 2002flstc Did a blind person pick the hallway carpet pattern?
I stayed in the "A" wing. The room was designated for handicapped individuals but was quite nice (except for the low tables).
The hallway carpet pattern was quite bizarre to say the least.
There was no breakfast and no coffee available when I checked out at 7:40 am.
Parking was also an issue, the front parking lot of the hotel was quite congested. They need to add more parking spots.

The property could use some updated touches, particularly the room had a lot of marks in the door frames, etc. However, the staff is excellent and very helpful; dedicated to making your time with them relaxing and enjoyable.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dad65 Very disappointed
Stayed four nights. Had stopped-up drain in tub for two nights (water up to our ankles). Upon returning to our room the last night, the door had been left open by the cleaning person (most of our belongings were left in the room that day).
We will not be staying in this hotel in the future!
Note: We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express - Never been disappointed!

Many of our guests stayed at this lovely, clean motel, when attending our son's wedding. Kelly was so helpful and accomodating. We were extremely impressed when the staff went beyond the call of duty and kindly offered to refund our money when the wedding pianist wrecked his car and was unable to keep his reservation for the first night. We highly recommend this lovely motel with beautiful facilities and gracious staff.

My room, 426, smelled of smoke. So much so that my cloths reeked of smoke. Everyone I spoke to on that floor also had the same issue. I believe that this floor must have been a smoking floor.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tonya06 Nice Hotel... bad service.
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn for several weeks now due to business travel. The hotel is nice and has a nice bar and restaurant. The staff of the hotel and the bar has left me quite unsatisfied. The front desk staff is less than 'greeting' when I arrive each Monday. They are very robotic in their approach. When I arrive each Monday I have 'all' of my luggage and I am instructed that I have to walk down a set of about 7 steps in order to get to my room. My hands are full and my luggage is heavy and I have to lug the luggage down these steps upon arrival and back up steps upon my departure. It does not make sense. If this is a flaw of the hotel design then they could at least have a staff member there to assist if needed. The staff of bar is also quite 'unfriendly'. I have sat at a table in the bar with several coworkers only to be completely ignored for more than 1/2 hour and this has happened on more than one occasion. We have mentioned it to the staff only to be laughed at and told 'we would get a free drink' the next time in. We don't really care about 'free' since we are traveling for business. We only want to be acknowledged and waited on and don't think that is too much to ask.
The hotel is clean and quiet. The gym is pretty nice with several t.v.'s. It has the potential to be an awesome hotel but the customer service leaves somehting to be desired.

All was going well until a huge bug that looked like an engorged Tick crawled down the curtains and a rather large spider was spotted in the sink. This made it difficult to relax and sleep not knowing if there were going to be any more unwanted visitors. A photo of the tickl ike creature has been added for your viewing plasure.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stormin56 Comfortable and Clean Room
While the room is very comfortable and clean and very spacious it is hard to find an outlet not near the desk. i like to work in bed watching TV and it is hard to find an outlet to charge the phone or laptop. Also, the rooms are equipped with a motion detector that turns the A/C off after 2 hours. This is a great "green" item during the day but at night if you like the fan on all night while you are sleeping or just want the temperature to remain the same, it's a problem. After 2 hours asleep, the unit turns off and does not recognize you turning over in bed.
Breakfast buffet is very nice with hot eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and freash fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and good coffee.

Not the most friendly staff compaired to other Holiday Inns. No recognition of Priority Member. Billing procedure seems confusing to front desk staff. The past 2 stays I have had to settle for a smoking and handicap room though reservations and late arrival were were made in advance. Priority points don't seem to make to my account.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BassWrangler Manager was uncompassionate and disrespectful on the night of New Years Eve.
I have been staying here every weekend for the past 3 months because of my career. If this wasnt the only location close to my destination, I would refuse to continue my stays here because of the treatment I got from the manager on duty. I purchased and paid for a room at 930pm on 12/31/2012. At 10pm, I received a call that my father was being rushed to the hospital due to a major heart attack. I then informed the management of the situation and asked if I could get reinbursed for the night because I would not need the room due to a family emergency and that I had to leave right away to drive 2 hours back home. I was told that he would refund any charges and that I had the room for 30 minutes and that was enough time to charge me full price and if I had any issues with it, I was to call the reservation number. Obviously, this management team does not care about their regular customers and only focuses on the money they bring in for the rooms. Other than the poor treatment from the manager, the rooms are great and well maintained.

I've actually stayed at the Lansdale facility twice, the first was a three day stay which began the day Hurricane Sandy left the area. That stay had some inconvienences associated with it which were all a result of the hurricane issues, nevertheless under the circumstances the staff at Lansdale did all they could to accomodate their customers.
Spent another two days there the last week of 2012, two others were along with me so we had three rooms. All three of us found our rooms and the facility to be just fine, rooms were clean and equipment functioned as one would expect.
Did not experience the dining as our business hours away from the hotel didn't coincide with their hours.
We will be visiting the area more frequently throughout 2013 and will reside at the Holiday Inn

Some one has spent a lot money trying to update and modernize this place, but is still an old building. Like one of my coworkers that was also staying there put it, "It's like putting lipstick on a pig". First thing I noticed after checking in was a very nice lobby. Then you walk down a short hall, through some double doors, and guess what? You have to carry your luggage down a flight of stairs so you can get to the elevator to go up to you room. Why in the heck didn't they put a ramp there instead, it sure would have been a lot easier for a old geaser like myself to roll my bags down. Then when I got to my room the next thing I noticed was the lack of sound proofing in the walls, it sounded like the TV was turned on in my room, when it was really in the room next to me. There is also a serious lack of electrical outlets. They put this fancy metal sculptured lamp on the desk with 2 outlets in it, but don't try and plug anything with a power supply attached like a cell phone charger or a iPad adapter in, it interferes with the structure of the lamp and won't plug in. The plumbing is also noisy, you know it when the person in the room above you flushes the toilet. I have to admit, the hotel was clean, but the dark carpets, dark drapes, dark colored furniture, etc. just made it seem dingy and depressing. I really thought Holiday Inn had higher standards than this.

The desk clerk, Aaron, was very rude. I wasn't recognized as a Priority Club Member. It seemed like he didn't know how to get to the rooms without going down the stairs. He didn't know he had a map. The maps are very small and he did not know where the lobby was on it. He was very, very rude. I asked to see a manager but was denied. The desk clerk even processed a bogus charge to my credit card. In the morning, Darryl was very nice and removed the charge. The server at breakfast was very nice also. I have never encountered such a rude desk clerk at a Holiday Inn.

Good front desk customer service.
I left my iphone charger in the room last time i stayed there and although the front desk looked, they said housekeeping keeps track of those items found in rooms.
If you found this from my last stay in Aug, I would love to have it back.
