I stayed for two nights and three days at this fine hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I ate ate the bar and in the restaurant. Both times the food was plentiful and good.

Very pleased with our stay here. This bed was as comfortable as my bed at home and the shower head is phenomenal! Very spacious and comfortable room. After wedding, we returned to the bar/lounge to order appetizers and drinks. Bartender was awesome and made me one of his specialty compettion martini drinks with strawberry and basil. His customer service skills were impeccable!! Appetizers could have used some help. We ordered potato skins and calamari. Skins were lacking and calamari was cold but drinks were so good and much less expensive than other places that it made up for quality of appetizers! I'm from Nashville, Tenn and don't know if I will ever be this far north again but this Holiday Inn is awesome and La Crosse is a beautiful city!!

Don't expect problem solving from the frontline or secondary staff. Rather than contacting us directly our reservations were dismantled and our family weekend for graduation ruined. When you have a packed hotel you should have senior management on hand to deal with unexpected problems. A simple phone call to us would have remedied the whole situation, but instead other choices were made. "It's not our policy" was repeated a few too many times. Also don't expect early check-in requests to hold any water---not only was our room not ready, we had to wait a good hour and a half for one of our rooms to be ready. Really? You don't hire extra housekeeping staff when you have 2 universities holding graduation across the street for the weekend and the hotel is overbooked? Your exhausted housekeping staff barely got our room clean by 5:45 p.m. Oh, we were given free drink vouchers to make us go away from the lobby and asking about when our room would be ready! No customer service--must have missed that class. Grouchy, upset and yep, angry....still...

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times when we go to LaCrosse. This year was not a good experience, I'm not sure we will stay here again. Our toilet was not hooked up during remodel so they had to call someone in from home to turn it on (we were very happy with the timeliness of this). Many lights didn't have light bulbs in them, very loud plumbing from other rooms. The couch in the common area of our room (suite) looked like it was extremely old and very well used. Cushions sunk down below the frame and fabric was well "loved." Daily toilettries were not replaced with daily service.

please refer to other comments. I would never stay there agin nor ever recommend to anyone. The attitude and dishonesty from the front desk given the situation was appalling and the room was filthy with dust and the shower flooded the floor

While the staff was friendly, the room I received was really run down and the linens were certainly not clean, as an opened condom wrapper fell out of the sheets/blankets when I went to get into bed!
