They thoroughly explained the parking situation and provided us with the directions we needed for our birding trip to Goose Island the next morning. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was OK. Restaurant awful. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. I think the price is a bit high for what you get. My biggest complaint is the restaurant at this location. We had breakfast included in our rate. Two of the 6 or us ordered waffles and were told that the waffle make had been broken for awhile. Need to either replace your waffle maker or take waffles off your menu. Strawberries were offered on pancakes but then told there were no strawberries. Our server did a good job but the flow of the place did not seem to set up their staff for success. Not sure if the bathroom is part of the hotel or restaurant and who is responsible for cleaning but at 8:00 AM it was awful. No toilet paper in one stall. Bits of toilet paper all over the floor and the commode in one stall was disgusting. Really bad when you consider that this is right off the restaurant. November 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay We reserved a suite so that we would have a sitting area. We also asked that the location be close to the lobby because of walking issues. We were assigned 3 different rooms before finding one that was barely acceptable. The first room was a long walk from the lobby, the room was dirty and smelled. The second room also had a dirty carpet and smelled. The sofa was broken and you sank to the floor when you sat on it. We were offered this room at a discount, if we would take it. We said no. We were then taken to a room that was cleaner and had newer furnishing. The sofa was the hardest sofa we have ever sat on. We could not use it. We ended up paying for a suite but having to sit on the bed to watch television. In the parking lot there were only 2 designated parking spots for cars with disability stickers. We were fortunate to have been able to park in one of these spots. If we would have had to park in the parking garage, the walk would have been too far for us to get back to the hotel. We were told that the hotel will soon be going under a major renovation. That may be good for future customers, but for us this promise didn't make our stay any better. November 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Everything wonderful except Internet service Great location, comfortable bed, clean property, pool, hot tub, fitness center, good choice of television stations, decent restaurant and pub on-site, fantastic helpful staff, but problems with the Internet service when I was there -- glacially slow and unreliable. I've stayed here before and never had the problem. Front desk told me they were aware of the issue and were working on it. Also, be ready for $5/night parking charge. I'll still be back next time I'm in La Crosse -- it's a great hotel. November 4, 2014
