The location was excellent, staff was courteous and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. Our accommodations contributed to an excellent weekend experience and we plan to stay there again when next in LaCrosse. September 23, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff and service when I was checking in I was asking for a room away from icemachine, elevators, and any noise making devices. I specifically mentioned room exhaust fans under the window. What I got is a room overlooking several roof fans sounding like helicopters landing. I askedfor a different room, and when I was mentioned the roof fans th staff person said that it is the their fans, but finally got a new room. The room had a musky smell, it looke old. I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was terrible along with the service. The parking is hard and there is a parking fee charged. The internet did not work at he first night, I was told that they do know about it but do not know how to fix it In general the hotel does not worth to stay in even if it would be free. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced and not the cleanest I was very disappointed with the costs associated with our recent stay- we are frequent guests of Holiday Inns everywhere and have never paid so much for a room that wasn't even clean- cobb webs in the corners, nail clippings on the carpet- was then charged a daily parking fee for a parking lot that had no available parking making my husband and I have to walk around the block to a parking garage at which point we had to have the front desk validate so we didn't have to pay twice!!! Also there was no coffee, no breakfast, no bottled water nothing without a hugh price tag- good thing we were only here for a wedding because I will not be coming back anytime soon! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty Room, Good Service My first visit to his property. Typically we stay at another hotel in the area but the price was right this particular weekend. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk person and at that point, had good expectations. However... when we got up to our floor, it was very stale smelling. When we entered our room it seemed very dated and not very clean. Even my 12 year-old-commented on the cleanliness of the room. During the evening I had to change the toilet paper roll in the room and on the little self where the extra rolls of toilet paper are stored, there was an inch thick of dust and dirt. I mentioned to my mother who was also staying with us and she said that under the toilet seat it was black. I took pictures and upon checkout shared that with the manager on duty. I don't typically do stuff like that, but it was beyond disguising! He manager apologized, and asked what he could do to get me to come back and stay again (which was awesome). He gave me a small percentage back on my room, which was appreciated -- however I'd have to think twice about coming back to this location. Service was great, but I'd prefer a clean room. As "foodies" we came specifically to dine at the "Four Sisters" which is across the street from the hotel. It is also within a few blocks of two local gay venues making all of our excursions within walkind distance. Comfortable beds with plenty of pillows and a quiet room in a central location make this Holiday Inn our favorite lodging in LaCrosse. September 1, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Renovate or change name of hotel This is one of the worst Holiday Inns that I have ever stayed at. The halls and common areas were dirty, room was dirt and in disrepair. The bed had a very uncomfortable mattress that had a low spot in the middle and my wife and I kept falling into the low area. HVAC was loud. Bathroom was nasty. Pool and hot tub were brown and something in the water made my kids itch. The staff was rude. I will never stay at this location again and will let anyone that is thinking about staying to travel to Hampton Inn or up to Winona to stay. August 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff Rude and Overpriced So I decied to bring my wife on a work trip with me and to stay down town La Crosse so we could walk around. The rate was higher than normal, so I figured it should be a nice hotel. Got into the room and it smelled musty, figured the AC would help, the AC made so much noise and really didnt even cool the room much. So I take a shower in the morning and the water is draining slow. When my wife uses the toliet it wont flush, plus the water is still in the tube. She calls down to have them fix it. They come up to room and tell us this happens in this room very often. I get back and the room stills smells musty. The sink in the bathroom has been painted, the decor of the entire room is depressing and very dark as some of the lights do not work. The mini fridge did not get cold. Couch was uncomfortable, internet was the slowest I have seen in a long time. Ok, location is great however a bad room does not make up for it. So the night before we are to check out I am getting ready to ask the front desk person a question however there is someone in front asking a few questions. The person at the front desk was not taking the person on front of me serious and just keep telling him uh ya, uh ya well look into that. Then he told the customer that they are currently having staffing issues as they are firing allot of people right now so the manager is busy. (Gets better) Wrote some notes down, the guys phone number and such then once the person let he tossed it in the trash with a very smug attitude. Then I ask for a late checkout as a PC member. I was told they would charge me if I wanbted to do that and he couldnt do that I would have to see the moring office staff at 8am, I told him normally this is not a issue, he didnt say anything. My wife was standing right there and was very upset, same as me. Last time I ever stay there as well as my travel dept has been made aware. I am guessing this is allowed to go on because of managment, everything rolls downhill. Could be wrong. August 20, 2014

Given my IHG membership, I decided to try the Holiday Inn and immediately regretted my decision after check in. The room was outdated, I could hear a screeching sound every time the room next door used their water and the hotel gym was small, hot and had no water. I'll be returning to the other hotel upon on my next visit to the area. August 20, 2014
