Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrating Experience We have stayed at this property several times in the last 3 years and are familiar with it. Because it is very conveniently located near the college campus, it is a popular site. Any time there is a college-wide event (ball games, weekend family/campus events) they always increase their prices accordingly and require full and non-refundable payment in advance. My reservation was made January 26 for a weekend event April 17 - 19. At that time I paid the overpriced, full, and non-refundable fee. I also made one special request concerning the bathroom facilities in my room. I indicated that I would be a late arrival. Upon arrival, I was told that my room did not have the requested feature and that there were no rooms, on this weekend, in the hotel that did. Although the desk staff attempted to meet my request, very little else was done. The room I was assigned had large clusters of dust hanging from the ceiling and was located in a loud, open area of the hotel. No manager ever attempted to contact me to offer an apology, explanation or solution. I sought management out, discovered that he was well acquainted with my displeasure of the night before, and offered to compensate me for the night I stayed there and offered to "release" me from the next night's fees, requiring me to leave and find other accommodations. We were able to reach a mutually satisfactory outcome but when I asked what more I could have done to guarantee getting the room I had requested (calling the hotel directly to make reservation vs. using the 800 number, clearly making my request as early as possible - 3 months in advance...), I was told that I could also ask to speak directly with a manager when making the reservation! Overall, the impression they gave/give is that they are one of the only games in town, in terms of convenience, and they are not particularly anxious to please their customer because there are more than enough clients to fill their rooms. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hote.l, mediocre restaurant The hotel itself is very nice. My room was clean and quiet. I always have trouble sleeping in hotels. The beds are always too hard, and the sheets are stiff and rough. But that's what i get at any hotel. The hotel restaurant is on the boring side, and the food is average at best. If they could make that more inviting and entertaining, that would make this hotel top notch. April 28, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by staff and tech The staff was able to handle the tv issue in a professinal manner. The hvca tech was a very professinal person as he was able to trouble shoot and find the problem. But the main thing is he had the parts to fix the problem at 10:30 pm on a saturday which is remarkable. April 22, 2015
