Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Sewer smell in lobby area
Everything about my stay was satisfactory except the smell of what smelled like sewer water in the lobby area and near the elevators. This makes me think that the hotel has water seepage issues in their elevator shafts. Routine cleaning out of the water in the elevator shafts by a certified elevator technician should curb the sewer smell, if indeed that is the cause.

Would have like to see a refrigerator in my room as well as a continental breakfast. I can stay at less expensive places and get these features. The hotel was up-to-date and pleasant.

The Holiday Inn could not be more centrally located, which is great when one wants to experience a new town center. The desk staff seem to have been trucked in from elsewhere, however, and an it's an elsewhere that doesn't have more than one customer at a time, because that situation seemed too much to handle. The room was, well, roomy, but the bathroom shower was in its own alcove with no door or curtain, and the slight step above it sloped down to the rest of the bathroom floor, ensuring a flood after each shower.... Searching for feminine products for my daughter, I found a tampon machine in one of the public restrooms, but it required quarters. I went to the desk for change, and this took some time and only produced one, which ended up swallowed by the machine, presumable emptied in favor of the "gift shop" in the lobby, which was also out of such products. Sheesh. We slept fine; it was a haven on a stormy night, just overpriced and full of quirks one might expect at a roadside motel, not an established chain.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GR27 Outstanding Stay, great location and service
My first trip to Lafayette was great,. Loved the hotel. Breakfast was really good, but service by the young women service breakfast was even better. Wish they had more updated equipment in the exercise room, but that was the only area of improvement. Great location, can walk to everything.

As a family of a Purdue student, we travel to the area frequently and have stayed at many properties. Thank you to the Holiday Inn staff for switching us to a room with a bathtub, these are becoming hard to find. Good location, appreciate the free parking. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room, available but for a fee. Pool, no hottub, gym on site.

I was in Lafayette, IN on business. This property is very nice, right in the downtown area near the Capitol. There are plenty of restaurant and bar options within walking distance of the hotel. Upon check-in I was greeted as an IHG member and offered an upgrade (which is hit or miss) as a Platinum member. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. I would definitely stay here next time I pass through the Lafayette area. The downtown area is nice and very eclectic.
