I booked my room directly through Holiday Inn's website. I was disappointed to find out that my business partner booked using another website and got the room for 50% less than what I paid....and I'm a IHG member. This was the only drawback to my hotel experience.

Check in was great with friendly staff. Located near lots of restaurants and entertainment. Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable.

While this Holiday Inn presents as a attractive and clean hotel, my experience with the cleanliness of the bathroom and shower floors was much different.
The shower floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS! Come on people! Haven't you heard of "Scrubbing Bubbles"! It was so filthy, I refused to use it.
The bathroom floor was equally disgusting. So much so that I wouldn't enter it without wearing shoes.
The filth of the bathroom/shower floors carried out to the room carpet.
Overall, I was concerned that I'd pick up a disease or bugs or something.
Upon checkout after telling the clerk of the room condition I was answered with "I'll tell housekeeping". Housekeeping has been skipping these floors for months. Worst experience of any hotel in 30 years!

The rooms are outdated and in need of refurbishment. I was "upgraded" to an "Executive King Suite", and was disappointed to find no difference between it and a standard king room at a Holiday Inn Express in the middle of nowhere Tennessee, and at least there, breakfast was included.
Wifi is hit or miss, depending on the time of day (how many people are online) and where the room is. I had a corner room back in September and I had to stand near the door to get any signal.
The fitness center was also disappointing. The treadmills slip and cant actually handle a person running.

This hotel is in a good location and the housekeeping staff is very friendly and professional. Although the rooms may be a bit tired, they are clean and quiet. Our only "complaint" would be the front staff not telling us about the hotel and what was available. We needed to ask all the questions and it was like pulling teeth to get them to answer. All in all I would stay there again when in the area.

This management team needs to evaluate and retrain their staff. I understand how difficult it can be to find and keep good employees, but the staff I encountered and observed were pretentious and lacking in customer service. This is a Holiday Inn in Lafayette Indiana, not a high-end hotel in an affluent city. They did only what they had to do and didn't want to be bothered by their customers it seemed.
