Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value / Flexible Location We used the Hotel as our base for our visit to Disneyworld... and to visit old friends, as well as doing other attractions, such as Kennedy Space Center, Medieval Manor... etc.... Multiple non Disney restaurants nearby, provided great options for variety and reasonably priced meals. The (1) week Hotel package included an exceptional Buffet Breakfast.... ALL of the Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. as well. The room was clean and comfortable, although the desk side lighting could use some improvement, and our "Balcony" railing consisted of a five foot stucco wall... and, looking over, the opportunity to make better friends with the Parking Valets...Minor complaints... Overall.... The Hotel is an excellent, good value, choice for convenience to the Disney Marketplace (walkable and with Disney Transportation)) .. and access to other restaurants and attractions nearby . We were pleasantly surprised and pleased we took the risk to stay at this hotel. Our family had a great time! We would recommend this location to anyone looking for a different place to stay. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost perfect... I booked two rooms directly with the hotel and prepaid for a week. The prices were on par with the hotels in the area, and cheaper than the Disney themed ones. We did not have a car so parking wasn't an issue. We used the Disney provided shuttles to go to and from the theme parks and had no issues, other than having to stand on the bus ride sometimes when it was very busy. It is approximately 30 mins by bus to the theme parks and after standing all day, this was too long a ride to be standing. This is not under the hotel's control though, so... The rooms were amazingly clean and the cleaning staff did an excellent job each day. The free in room coffee was actually pretty decent too. The room had a fridge but we didn't really use it for more than chilling wine. The beds were comfie and there were lots of pillows. The shower was good. There is a breakfast buffet which is very good and has lots of options, but is on the expensive side. We had dinner at the restaurant a couple times and one member was gluten free (Celiac) and the chef was awesome, the food great, and the prices reasonable for the quality. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful. The concierge was very helpful in directing us to various locations and providing information. The front desk, however, was another story. Anytime I tried to talk to them there was a line up of 2 or 3 other parties and it took at least 15 -20 minutes to get any information. It didn't matter if it was 10am or 10pm, there was always at least a 15 min wait at the front desk. Often there was only one or maybe two staff at the desk, except sometimes a 3rd person would be there, but wouldn't actually be doing anything (maybe they are supervising?) On the last night we booked a taxi for 4:30am and it showed up at 3:30 in error, with paperwork indicating a 4:30 pickup and the front desk still called us an hour early to let us know our taxi was there. There is a HI Vacations kiosk (aka time share) in the lobby which wasted about 20 minutes of my party's time while I was checking in... they didn't realize it was a time share and as soon as they did, we moved along, but... it was a bit off-putting to find this in the lobby as if it was endorsed by the hotel... maybe it is, but... All in all... it was an excellent room for the price. Clean and very quiet, and the food was good, if medium-high priced. The front desk was a bit slower than I would have liked, but you only really need to see them when checking in, so whatever. February 24, 2015
