Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful bed and bed clothing The elevator took waaaaaaaaaay too long! This is a 6 story building and we waited up to 12 minutes sometimes for the elevator. Thus, we used the stairs most of the time. Also, the "breakfast cafe" with crazy high prices was no better than the "complimentary breakfast" we experience at lesser hotels chains. Seriously....the midget muffin seemed day old and stale but cost $2.25 :-( .We did like the fact it was right next door to a Ruby Tuesday and we could walk over for dinner the night we arrived. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Right off I 75 The Holiday Inn Lake City is a perfect location for travelers heading south who need a break or for business travel in the Lake City north FL area. Great staff, clean rooms, good restaurant and bar. Also there is a Ruby Tuesday right next door and an Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and Longhorn within walking distance. I stay here every few weeks and always have a good experience. December 1, 2013

The location is convenient, there is a Cracker Barrel next door, the hotel has a pool, exercise room, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and clean. My wife is extremely picky about her hotel room and this is one of her favorites. November 16, 2013

We are always there for baseball tournaments for our son and the staff is extremely friendly and the hotel is the perfect spot for families. We always have a large group of boys and sometimes they can be a little rambunctious as all little boys are and the staff is always so patient and kind. We won't stay anywhere else when we come to Lake City. November 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, but pricey for the area The hotel is modern and reasonably well maintained. The staff at check in is OK. Lake City is in the middle of no where, so the rate at the hotel is on the high end of what you would expect to pay. The atrium design of the hotel makes it extremely noisy particularly at night when you are tying to sleep. There are only 2 elevators and the wait is eternal, forcing you to always use the stairs. There are a number of new hotels in the area and these should be considered as this property is not very competitive. November 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not express We stay mostly at Holiday inn Express. This Holiday Inn fell short in a lot of ways. The gentleman that registered us had a tough time telling us about how to get food and what we could eat in the morning. I asked him where can we have dinner to which he pointed to the back of the building????? It sounded like someone was moving in and out of the room upstairs until about one in the morning. The night blinds did not fit the window and we had full light all night. By the way Texas Road house had a great steak. We will wave at Lake City when we pass thru again. November 13, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed great service I stayed here for two nights to attend a funeral at a nearby location. While acquiring info over the phone, I was advised by the clerk that the two nearby college teams FSH & Fl Gators were having games and most hotels between the cities where the teams were playing was booking out rooms. I was advised to make my reservations ASAP to have rooms upon my arrival. This was very helpful traveling with 3 adult kids. 3 days & 2 mites, we had a very comfortable place to return to & relax. Cracker Barrel & several other restaurants is w/in walking distance from the hotel. This is my second stay here in 2 yrs. Sept 2011 the family booked 5 rooms here for a family reunion in Lake City. Again FSU & the Gators had home games that weekend but our needs we're met. November 5, 2013

When we checked in were told no king size rooms , we went to get our luggage and heard the next ,customers told they had king size rooms,( don't like to be lied to) kids playing on elevators no one taking care of the matter room not up to the normal holiday inn standards remodeling needed We will only stay there again as a last resort, we can stay at other hotels that provide breakfast and a quiet clean room at a better price, with friendly staff. We stay in hotels for 14 nights in 6 different hotels and this was our worst experience November 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely nice staff, pretty, clean, warm, comfortable environment. Very quiet, restful atmosphere. Pretty, comfortable, warm decor. Extremely courteous, helpful staff. Very comfortable, clean room. Great bed and pillows! Our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren love it and recommended it and they are right! Love the indoor pool and hot tub ! The only thing that would have made our stay better would be a full service restaurant, which is what we prefer. However, the food and staff in the restaurant were excellent! Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again! :-) :-) October 31, 2013

The stay was utopia until the last night, when manager "Rod" called and woke us up at 11:00 PM, to demand we come to the front desk to take care of a credit card issue. (We had extended the stay one day and gave the desk a card with which we've have intermittent issues.) Rod said they "had tried to contact" me all day, but we were not in the room. I asked why they had not attempted to call me on my phone. He said he didn't know if they had my number. Yet, the hotel had called me on two different occasions within the last 3 days. After I objected to this style of customer service, his "apology" consisted of "I'm sorry it took so long to contact you." I found this to be hollow and condescending. The other staff members, however, were apologetic to my wife during checkout, which I appreciate. October 31, 2013

This is always are final stop before heading home, although there are many other places to stay in this area and all of which we have memberships for, we always stay here. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfort of bed/room The bed could be more comfortable. We found the mattress to be too hard. I believe the last time we stayed the bed was more plush and comfortable. Also I know it can be a added expense but ceiling fans would be nice. the others are too noisey. The rug and one of the seats needed cleaning but it wasn't a problem. October 28, 2013

We received a military discount because my daughter in law just returned from Afganistan. When we came back from dinner I had a to go box and no refridgerator in my room the front desk delivered one in minutes. We were most pleased with such excellent service. October 22, 2013
