Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Mediocre Hotel My family and I stayed here 1 night for one of my son's soccer tournaments. Although the hotel is very nice (clean, well-kept, modern decor, and centrally located near fwys, malls, restaurants, and entertainment), the staff is horrible. They are not welcoming at all; they quite honestly are a bunch of young people (keep in mind I'm in my early 30's), dressed in business attire, that greatly lack professionalism and customer service. When we arrived at the hotel, there were at least 4 people standing at the front-desk literally just staring at us, without greeting nor offering to help us. As we stood there confused, I finally asked, "so which one of you can help us check-in". Once we were finally checked-in...the rest of the stay went well, until the next day. We had asked for a late check-out (1pm), yet at 12:25pm we had housekeeping knocking on the door to come and clean the room, thinking we had already checked out. I understand it could've been a mistake, however, put yourself in the shoes of 4 exhausted individuals who are simply trying to take advantage that we have a late game that day and are simply trying to catch up on a bit of sleep. I'm sure you can guess how the rest of the day went for us...And lastly, aside from their hotel's typical hold amount & time frame, for some reason they decided to put a higher hold amount on my cc, then usual (have no clue why) and it's been 5 business days since my stay without the funds having been released. Why is the release taking so long??? The actual property is really nice, but I would definitely have to think it over SEVERAL times, before staying here again, due to their staff. April 23, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Staff!! As I previously stated in my earlier comments on this survey, the staff was what really made my stay more than enjoyable. I was very impressed at how on top of things they were. It made me feel like I could just sit back, relax and enjoy my stay without having to worry about taking care of the small stuff, Or as I call it.. Micro-managing. It's the one thing you dread having to do when your trying to enjoy your mini vacation. I had no problems with the cleanliness or overall presentation of my hotel room. And the temperature was perfect. I had a very comfortable nights sleep. If you are coming to Irvine South/Irvine Spectrum area and are looking for a nice, comfortable place to rest, I HIGHLY recommend the Holiday Inn. Thanks again to the amazing staff!! When we checked out, the front desk proactively apologized and offered us amenity points on our account. Excellent service recovery on the part of the staff. We frequently stay at this hotel when traveling to Orange County to see family, we are never disappointed. April 7, 2015
