I got a $50 charge on my credit card account after check out. I checked with the hotel manager and they said it was for the carpet cleaning as there were stains on the carpet found by the hotel cleaning staff after I checked out. This is the first time I got charged for carpet cleaning by a hotel. I asked the hotel manager why I was not asked to acknowledge the charge during my check out (so that I could at least see where and what the stains were) and the answer is that I signed off the registration form to authorize them to charge to my account for any damage to the hotel property. Recommend people to request hotel staff to check the room for any damage at check out to avoid any additional charge after check out or any dispute. This $50 charge really makes me unhappy with Holiday Inn despite I am a priority club member.

I arrived on Sunday. When the lady at the front desk checks me in, she did not mention that I was a Platinum member nor did she give be a gift bag that I saw other Platinum members receive.
The bed was not very conferrable, after the first night my back was bothering me.
The employees at the front desk did not look very happy. They did not know that I was staying at the hotel, every day they look at me as to ask if I was checking in.
The breakfast was very good, and the staff very friendly.
I was at the hotel for work and was a great location.
The work out room was very small only three machines, I tried to work out a few time and someone was on the machine every time.

Great location. I was able to drive to LA one day and San Diego the next. The staff seems to all be very young and spirited. I wonder if they all go to the same University?
I was surprised at how close the freeway was because I did not hear any noise from the room.

The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, flat screen TV. The best part of the stay, was the staff. All were very friendly, and helpful.

We came to OC for a weekend getaway to visit a couple of nearby conventions. We were very pleased with this hotel. Holiday Inn Express hotels are always a good choice, but this Holiday Inn was outstanding. The room was on the small side, but very well appointed and very quiet. The HVAC was a bit on the noisy side, but didn't keep us from sleeping. The exercise room was very well furnished, and the pool and spa were very clean. As it was rainy most of the time we were there, I only used the spa. We went to the bar one evening and the bartender, Ray, was very friendly and attentive; he had a very welcoming demeanor and got all the patrons talking and mingling. The front staff greeted us cordially every time we walked in or out. I had no interaction with the housekeeping staff, but they were friendly as we passed by. Overall, an exceptional value and we will definitely be back.

I come to Irvine regularly for business, and I will be sure to stay at this Holiday Inn everytime. It is very clean, the rooms are well furnished and comfortable, and the bar & restaurant are good. They could certainly go for an upgrade of their fitness center, but outside of that, this hotel is great.

We stayed at the top floor with a view of the 405, but we didn't hear any car noises from the outside. We arrived on a rainy day and its covered parking made a difference. The room smelled nice and refreshing when we walked in. The king-sized bed was comfy, and the room was the right size for two people. The hotel is just one exit away from the Spectrum mall if you like shopping.

As I travel for business often, I have stayed in most of the hotels around south Orange County. When I come back for vacation, this is the only hotel I will stay at. The staff is on par with even some of the resorts nearby and always looking out for your best interests. The food and service is always prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The property is always spotless and, even when traveling during some of the busier holidays, the rooms remain quiet. While the building is situated near the highway, you'd never know it, even during rush hour. Finally, even though there are a few places to eat within walking distance, the hotel also offers a shuttle which is great if you want to do some shopping or dining at the Irvine Spectrum just a few miles away. I continued to be impressed with this hotel.

There was a door between my room and the adjacent room. I heard every word they said, day and night, as if they were right next to my bed. I even opened my side door to check if their side door was left open, but it was closed, just not sound proof obviously.

Beware when staying here. Don't get a room on highway side or get a top floor room. Noisy ventilation from the roof.
Cramped lobby and very noisy from the bar.
Not what I expected for the $$$s at this location.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn in Irvine. It was very enjoyable and the staff was amazing, especially the front office and the restaurant. They were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know is visiting the OC area!

This property is certainly a welcome addition to the area. We visit relatives in the Foothill Ranch area several times a year and are always on the lookout for a relatively inexpensive, nice hotel. This definitely fits the bill. The property is well maintained, our room was quiet and access to the freeway and main streets was very close by.
Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the highdefinition TV and the comprehensive channel selection. Although we did not visit the on-site restaurant/lounge, it looks like they offer some great specials throughout the week. Maybe next time! Free wi-fi and desk in room are nice extras; great for business travelers as well.

Gives a bad reputation for the holiday inn brand name. A few staff are good, but Manger/Owner takes side with the disrespectful staff.

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened. So far that means around 30 visits of 3-4 nights each. I feel, and am treated, like I am returning home. The staff is super - the rooms are great - the food is good - parking is easy and safe. What more can I say - 30 returns trips says it all.

This location was close to the highway, yet no heavy traffic noise. Hotel looked brand new and loved the room. Bed was a little too firm for us, as we like softer mattress. But all and all, a very good experience. I will visit this location again in the future, as it is really close to San Juan Capistrano where my daughter in law lives.
