Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly surprised I actually didn't have high expectations. I knew Holiday Inn would be clean and comfortable, but it was much better. I was so happy with the in-room Wi-Fi and "kids eat free" was a great extra bonus. I was so happy to find an iron in the room, but I think that is standard #I just didn't know it#. The room was spacious for the 4 of us and the room and hotel had all the amenities that a "resort" offers. We even took advantage of the laundry facilities. The location also worked very well for us as we split our time between San Juan and Newport. I will happily return to Holiday Inn. July 15, 2013

Would rate this as one of the best, the only downsides are noise from the freeway and nothing much within walking distance. On the positive the staff were all really good. July 4, 2013

Staff is very nice. Closer to spectrum and freeway. Good price. Breakfast was included and was standard. June 20, 2013

I was in Irvine for a Sales Training and was recommended to stay at this hotel. For my surprise, the location was fantastic and the service was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and the fre WiFi rally helped me catch up on my work. Compiementary breakfast was excellent, as it was a buffet with several items to choose from. All in all, I had an amazing xperience and will definitely stay there again. May 28, 2013

What stood out the most however, was the extremely friendly staff. Sean and Zack specifically were super friendly and helpful with directions. The rooms are very comfortable, updated and clean. The Front Desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff are welcoming and go the extra mile to ensure that everything is well. We enjoyed the extras- such as wine and cheese every evening and live local music on Wednesday evenings. I have been very pleased with the service and rooms at this Holiday Inn. April 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by odor in bathroom sinks. When I am brushing above the bathroom sink, and you run water initially, there is a foul odor coming from the sink. (After the water has been running for a while, the odor is no longer a problem.) It appears as if the gunk residing in the bathroom sink 'P-trap' produces foul gasses that collect in the sink drain pipe. When the faucet is turned on initially, water goes down the sink and displaces the foul smelling gases upwards directly under the nose of the customer. That is a terrible smell. #After continuously running the water in the sink, all th efoul gasses have been displaced, it is no longer a problem# Problem is observed, after a long period if inactive sink use like the morning, or return from room after work in th eevening. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad The hotel overall was nice. The staff very friendly. Room was clean. View from my room was bad. Looking into two backyards of run down homes with lots of junk. Had to keep my curtains closed. Should have gotten room with sliding glass door, would have been better as those were on other side of hotel with better view. Bed definitely had wear. I felt I was rolling somewhat from where people sleep on the bed. Tried to sleep in the middle of bed and felt as if I was rolling to side of bed. Overall would stay again. March 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by $50 carpet cleaning charge after check out I got a $50 charge on my credit card account after check out. I checked with the hotel manager and they said it was for the carpet cleaning as there were stains on the carpet found by the hotel cleaning staff after I checked out. This is the first time I got charged for carpet cleaning by a hotel. I asked the hotel manager why I was not asked to acknowledge the charge during my check out (so that I could at least see where and what the stains were) and the answer is that I signed off the registration form to authorize them to charge to my account for any damage to the hotel property. Recommend people to request hotel staff to check the room for any damage at check out to avoid any additional charge after check out or any dispute. This $50 charge really makes me unhappy with Holiday Inn despite I am a priority club member. March 7, 2013

When the lady at the front desk checks me in, she did not mention that I was a Platinum member nor did she give be a gift bag that I saw other Platinum members receive. The bed was not very conferrable, after the first night my back was bothering me. The employees at the front desk did not look very happy. They did not know that I was staying at the hotel, every day they look at me as to ask if I was checking in. The breakfast was very good, and the staff very friendly. I was at the hotel for work and was a great location. The work out room was very small only three machines, I tried to work out a few time and someone was on the machine every time. March 5, 2013

I wonder if they all go to the same University? I was surprised at how close the freeway was because I did not hear any noise from the room. February 11, 2013
