Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Honest Employees After checking out and getting part of the way home I realized I forgot a valuable piece of jewelry in my hotel room. I called, spoke to someone in housekeeping (Peggy, I think?), and she actually went to my room to look for it. The person who cleaned the room had found it and had it on her cart to be turned in. I fully expected this jewelry to be gone for good, but your honest staff made sure that my belongings were found and brought to the front desk to be picked up by a friend. I cannot thank your staff enough for finding and turning in this item which is very important to me. Not everyone would have done so. Please make sure they receive my thanks!! November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Experience for the Wedding We Attended We were delighted with every aspect of our stay, except the fact that we did not have an opportunity to play in the beautiful aquatics area. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The wedding reception was flawless. Even the restaurant (Rudy's Redeye Grill) and the staff (hosts, servers, and support staff) were welcoming and helpful, even though we were there just for drinks and a snack before the wedding. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family for a simple stay, or for a memorable event. Thanks! October 29, 2013

The room was very clean and comfortable. Also hotel was pet friendly which was crucial as we travel with our cats. only negative would be the restaurant- lunch was tastey but pricey and we preferred to eat elsewhere. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed messages from hotel literature and staff I'll start by saying the woman that checked us in was very pleasant and nice. The room was comfortable, definitely able to relax. We were here for a wedding, but were excited about the water park feature of the hotel and packed our swimsuits so we could relax in the hot tub after the reception. The hotel literature in the room stated that the pool area was open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. We went to check out the pool at 10:30pm on a Saturday night and it appeared closed, staff was cleaning up the pool area. We chatted with one of the water park staff who told us the pool was closed. We told him the book stated that the pool was open until 11pm and he responded with, "Yes we are open until 11 and you can swim until 11pm, but I'm ready to get out of here I've been here all day." We quickly changed into our suits and came back to the pool area. There were no staff present, the water slide gate was locked, the water park appeared to be closed. We went into the whirlpool, since we were under the impression the pool was open until 11pm. Within 5-10 minutes there were staff telling us we needed to get out, one threatened to kick us out of the hotel, etc. I was so unimpressed and found them so rude. I would have gotten out with a simple, "It's 11pm and the pool is now closed" comment instead of "If you don't get out we're going to kick you out of the hotel." I should add the woman that made these comments was not water park staff, she looked to have come from the front desk. We started to get ready to leave, only to find we had been locked in. At this point it probably was around 11pm (I wasn't wearing a watch.) The staff unlocked the gate so we could exit. I am extremely unimpressed with the mixed messages and customer service surrounding the waterpark - do not advertise being open until 11pm when staff are cleaning up at 10:30pm and closing everything down. My experience went from being one with amazing customer service to probably some of the worst I've ever experienced at a hotel. October 2, 2013

I chose the location based on where I was headed the next day. Upon opening my room door, I immediately noticed my room was upgraded. I can only attribute this to my Platinum Elite status with the IHG Reward Club. Once settled, I made my way down to Rudy's Redeye Grill. This was a great place to get a scratch made meal, good service and some relaxation after the day I'd had. I was able to enjoy some Monday Night Football as well. September 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for family fun and relaxation! The room was clean and spacious (we had a suit). Plenty of space for my wife and I, as well as our 3 kids (all under 10). Parking was plentiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The indoor 'Water Park' didn't exactly live up to our expectations, but to be fair, we probably had unrealistic expectation in terms of size. There was plenty to do and the kids absolutely LOVED the 2 story water slide. The only bad part about the slide was it required a staff member (life guard) to man the station while it was in use and there was some relatively brief time that no one was available. The area was open fairly late into the night so the kids were exhausted by the time we got back to the room, which meant they all passed out right away. For you parents, you know that translates to a blissfully quiet evening for the adults and a great nights sleep for all. Would highly recommend this property if you are in the area and we fully intend to use it every time we visit relatives there. September 20, 2013

Easy to get to from airport, comfortable and quiet rooms, and a very clean property. The on-site restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The hotel has a nice pool/water recreation area. I didn't use it, but it would be a nice amenity for family travel. Very solid WiFi connection; always a good thing. September 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced Although it was great for young kids as the indoor pool and slide was a big hit, we thought it was way overpriced. My niece got married nearby and we had quite a few rooms reserved for family and friends, but they would not give any reduced rates. The lighting in the rooms was very poor - bathrooms very small. When i called to inquire if they served a continental breakfast, the gal replied, "No, we are a full service Holiday Inn, you get a continental breakfast at the express facilities." Does that make sense? However, my experience is that the Holiday Inn Express locations are newer, bigger, much more comfortable and far cheaper. September 11, 2013

My family and I were at the hotel for a family wedding over a holiday weekend...can never be too sure how things will go over a holiday weekend, but this was a FABULOUS experience and we will be coming back again next time we visit family!! Suite was clean and comfortable, food and beverage was delicious, especially the Sunday brunch at Rudy's Red Eye, staff was very friendly (we are in the hospitality industry so we have pretty high expectations), value was right on the money and being able to relax by the pool with family and friends was most enjoyable!! Clean and fresh...All amenities are there except there pillows are too high and bouncy not letting your head rest comfortably. Had to just toss them on the floor to avoid a stiff neck in the morning. If you don't mind paying the highest price for staying at a Holiday Inn in the entire Minneapolis metro and have to pay for the continental breakfast then by all means make sure you stay at this property....if not I would recommend another Holiday Inn or hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious suite, fantastic indoor pool area! My husband and I stayed here with our 7 year-old son recently on the way to pick up our daughter from summer camp. Upon arrival, we learned we had been selected as the VIP of the Day (for being an IHG rewards member) and upgraded to a suite. We enjoyed the separate tv and reading area of the suite very much. The indoor pool with slide, splash ground and hot tub were the reason that we chose this particular hotel and it lived up to our expectations. An attendant sat at the top of the slide the entire time, which was a little unnecessary, but probably required for their liability insurance. The beds were very comfortable, the a/c in the room was quiet and although the bathroom was a little small, there was a nice separate vanity area with outlet and lights. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but need more instructions The room was clean and comfortable, but didn't realize until we were leaving that there were two wall mounted temperature controls, one for each room. Kept adjusting the one in the hall to a higher temperature, not realizing the one in the bedroom was by the mirror. Froze all night long because that one was set too low. Stayed 2 nights on the breakfast package. The person at the front desk only gave one voucher for the breakfast. Had to go back and forth between the restaurant and the front desk to get it straightened out. Hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. June 7, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disapointed in Front Desk Staff My husband and I had stayed at this hotel on two other ocassions, one being a week earlier. The front desk staff and room at that time were very nice and they treated us like they appreciated our business. Due to an unexpected death in our family we needed to stay in that area again. This tiime we had 3 rooms that were paid for by my husband and I. We did arrive early around 2:45 and were able to get into one room. The second room was not ready until after 4:00 and because they agreed to upgrade us to a suite due to the fact we were Priority Club members we were willing to wait longer. We told them we had to leave by 4:30 but by 4:20 the room was still not ready so we had to take a room that was handicapped accessible. We had planned to have two of our grandchildren stay with us but it was so small we couldn't do that. My son had to rent a 4th so the hotel filled 4 rooms that night. It will a long time, if ever, before we would stay there again and would certainly not recommend it to friends or family. May 28, 2013

When walking in the hotel we notice that any time you meet a staff person walking by they say Hi and ask how things are going. My husband and I also like that the pool attendents were very watchful of all the children on the slide and made sure that is was a safe environment. The room was very clean, well kept and everyting was in excellent condition! We love this hotel and stay whenever we come to the cities. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and well-trained in true customer service.We spent time in the the pool/waterpark with our grandchildren and were happy with the pools, having lots of towels, having a clean area to enjoy. The staff monitoring the waterside were all pleasant and made sure that everyone was safe. The pool time with family was a highlight of the stay. We ate dinner at the Rudy's Red Eye and had a great meal with wonderful service. The room was modern, fresh, and comfortable. This is a quality hotel that is well-run. I would recommend getting a room on the 1st floor pool side for fast and easy convenience. The staff members weren't very friendly, just seemed a little snappy and irritated with the questions they were asked, but I guess it really didn't matter, we just wanted to swim and hangout for the night. Rudy's Redeye Grill was an awesome restaurant - Sunday brunch was the best we have had in a long time. Pool was okay - very busy which made it hard to do much. Had a balcony pool room - next time would get poolside so kids could swim and we could be close. Did not have any problems with noise at bedtime for the amount of kids in the hotel. April 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fun Family Over Night We have two young children, ages 3 yrs and 19 months, we came for a night to get out of the house and have a little "Stay-cation". We are all stir crazy after this long winter. The room was very clean, all the necessary amenities. The kiddie pool area itself was great, the kids had a blast. The hotel needs to keep the pool room & water temp. warmer! My 19 mth old little girl got cold quickly, and us Adults too. Being in and out of the water with the little ones the air was cold, and we always felt cold. We had a pool side room, which was more a Convenience than a luxury for the price paid. Was nice not to have to take the elevator each time we needed something out of the room. Over all the kids had a fun time, which was the whole reason for staying. My 3 yr old son said "Mom, this is the 'awsomest' pool I have ever seen !" March 26, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hospitality Promise - What a joke! We live in Coon Rapids and booked a night at this hotel for our son's 12th Birthday. Our son had attended a birthday party of a friends at that same hotel about a month ago. Our son had fallen in love with the big pool, with a waterslide and basketball hoops. So upon his request we booked 3 rooms for him and his friends to enjoy his birthday party at the pool. Within 1 hour of cheking in someone's child threw up in the pool. The pool was immediately closed. My husband and I went to the front desk and asked to check out and requested our money back, as our main reason for our stay that night was the pool. The front desk attendant stated she had to call her manager to speak with him, as "No one has ever requested to check out before". She called our room after she had spoke with the manager and stated that the incident was beyond there control and nothing would be done for us. She gave us the managers card and stated that we could give him a call. We have left a message and received no call back as of yet. The Holiday Inn proudly displays a plaque in each room that states their Hospitality Promise. Which summed up states that if you are not 100% satisfied with your stay, let the front desk know and if we can't fix it we will refund that portion of your stay. We followed the directions of the hospitality promise, but the Holiday Inn evidently doesn't actually stand by their promise. I know our booking of three rooms was nothing to a big company like the Holiday Inn, but this was our son's 12th Birthday and in no way did your front desk or manager try to do anything to make that situation better. Sadly disappointed and would appreciate a call from someone. I would say it's the least you could do. March 5, 2013

If you are expecting a relaxing restful visit - a) this is not the place for you; b)don't request a poolside room.....pool times are very early (8a.m. in our case) and don't close till 11p.m. Great place for families though! Had to pay for paper! We're priority club members - WHAT????? And there wasn't even a "welcome" package.....don't plan on staying at this place again..... March 4, 2013
