We arrived about one hour early, and hoped we could check in early, but was told that room was not ready. We had no problem with that considering check in was at 4:00, until we asked if the room would be ready by 4:00. We were told by check in that possibly not, and we asked what time it would be ready. They said it might be as late as 5:00 or 6:00 ????? We said why would a room that was reserved ahead not be ready by the 4:00 check-in if check- out time was 11:00. We felt that there was plenty of time to have our room ready, which we had booked for 3 nights, and then later had to book for another night because of family reasons. We were told that priority club members were allowed to stay later (even as late as 2:00 or 2:30) and not have to check out at 11:00. Excuse me, but if I have reservations for a Holiday Inn for 3 or 4 nights, or even one night, and they are reserved, I don't expect that my room is not ready at check in time. That is uncalled for. We came from Illinois and traveled about 500 miles on our second day, we wanted to get in our room by check - in time and rest and relax, not have to wait in a lobby. After complaining, we sat in lobby and looked straight into employees at desk, and we were told at first there were no other rooms ready, and after complaining, it wasn't long before one of them said oh, a room just came up???? I'm sorry we didn't believe that, and if we hadn't complained, we fully believe we would have still been sitting there waiting. This kinda turned me and my husband against Holiday Inns, which we always have liked and used. We'll see in future. I can guarantee that if this happens again, we will no longer use Holiday Inn.

What I asked for , never received. Please not on traffic side. Does any kind of breakfast come with that price Yes. never got.

From the greeting at checkin to the morning of checkout and everything in between, I am very impressed with the hotel. I have stayed at several adjacent hotels in my last 2 years of travel to Denver/ Lakewood and this is the best, most comfortable, convenient hotel I have stayed in by far.

Girl's weekend in Denver area to see Zac Brown Band at Red Rocks. Nice location, clean property with dining/bar option. Staff was courteous, room comfortable & clean, and quiet despite being booked. Only complaint was the front desk clerk recommended a shuttle driver to transport us to and from Red Rocks; He arrived 45 minutes late to pick us up getting us to the Amphitheater as the concert began and never showed to pick us up leaving us stranded! Luckily we found an empty taxi. Not good business! Would recommend this property and would staty again.

I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL DAY LONG AND THE SERVICE I GOT HERE FROM CHRIS V. WAS AWESOME.
THIS IS A NICE QUIET ,CLEAN ,AND COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY AND THE PRICE WAS JUST RIGHT, I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYTHING MORE.
I COME TO COLORADO AT LEAST ONCE EVERY OTHER MONTH AND HERE IS WHERE I STAY.

Enjoyed our stay at Denver Lakewood. Would recommend it. Had delicious meal at the Grill one night. Breakfast was good and host very cordial.

Usually I am quite satisfied with the Holiday Inn brand of hotels. I have to qualify this review by saying I always sleep rather poorly when in a strange locations, such as a hotel. I was in town for a very intensive work meeting that ran Friday and Saturday. That means good rest is essential. At check-in I specifically told the clerk that I needed a quiet room. I did not want to be near the dinging elevators or rattlling ice machines. Turns out, that was the least of my worries. I was bothered by seemingly drunken floor-mates trying to wake their roomie to let them in because he forgot his key, giggling adolescent sports team members traversing the hall to socialize with other gals in the group, and barking dogs. Industrial ear plugs did not drown out I did not receive the room (on the executive floor) that I had reserved and am sure these distractions would have been less.

We stay here at this holiday inn because it is convenient location for our sporting events. The staff always treat us well and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. We always look forward to our stays at this hotel.

There arent many times in my life where i fall asleep while doing another task. I can say staying at the Lakewood Holiday Inn was one of those times! The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean! I would recommend this hotel to others and if i am in the neighborhood again I will stay there!

My first time in the Denver Area and I really enjoyed the stop we made in Lakewood. Reasonably priced and very nice surroundings. The fireplace was nice and warm on entry. The room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel was difficult to find.
They don't have the breakfast bar that I enjoy in other Holiday Inns, but the price of the stay was reasonable.
The staff I checked in with was a little "cool". No warm fuzzy;welcome mat there. We were exhausted and had driven around for hours when we arrived. The weather was awesome,
it was snowing, and we were cold and just wanted to get warm. The clerk I check out with was awesome, cheerful and enthusiastic. I felt as though she really appreciated my business.
The food from the bar and grill was great.
It's a keeper, I'd love to come back!!

I have not stayed at a HI for ages and was absolutely shocked at the quality of the hotel compared to what I remembered. HI has really upgraded and got it right. And the value can't be beat.
A great hotel, but to be honest, it's the staff that I will most remember. Just couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Service is such a lost art these days, especially noticed by road warriors like me. The employees at the Lakewood location all deserve a high five and thanks.

I stay at this Holiday Inn throughout the year for Business. Front desk staff are great, food is excellent, courteous attentive staff. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn.

Sadly, I didn't find this Holiday Inn in good enough condition to return. From the beginning I had trouble finding it, and although the desk clerk (Chris) was very nice when I called for directions, he gave poor directions and hung up the phone without saying "goodbye" or anything else.
This happened twice, his first instructions were so poor that I had to
call back. In person he was very helpful with directions for my meeting for the next day (I have to admit I questioned myself for asking him for other help). I thought the decor in my room was only fair and in need of an upgrade. I won't stay there again, kind of depressing.

The hotel was nice in a quiet area. Only bad things were pillows were awful and they did not have any coffee available in the lobby in the morning.
There is a restaurant on site but I feel they should provide hot coffee in lobby for guest for free. The tiny bag in the room does not cut it.
Everything else was good except the pillows were very uncomfortable.

We have stayed there before with our chihuahua last December...This time I was met with a very rude receptionist Robyn. On our last day there (3 night stay) she informed us that we needed to pay a 50.00 non-refundable pet fee (Not a problem) but implied that we had snuck our dog into the hotel without notifying them! I booked online and had no idea there was a pet fee not to mention they saw our dog when we checked into the 6th floor. (Maintenance and housekeepers) (I'm a platinum member) I was also informed that people with pets stay on the second floor...well that floor smells so bad of cigarette smoke covered by air freshener you can hardly breathe! Unforntunately I wouldn't be able to tolerate the poor air quality and will not be able to stay there again if made to stay on the second floor. I don't like being called a liar either. Our daughter lives only 3 miles away and I travel there frequently for business...there are other HI's to stay at I guess.

I was very surprised at what a nice Holiday Inn for the money. Nice looking motel with clean entry and a nice restaurant. Staff was nice and got me my room on early check in. Room was very nice and clean and I decided to lay down on the bed and grab a nap before a 5pm meeting. As I lay on the bed, the door opens and another guest enters and tells me I am in his room? After calling front desk, he has been given my room by mistake? Weird. Thank God that I was dressed. After that, 3 times I had to go to front desk because room key would not work at either my room and or the fitness center. This becomes a pain. Sink in room would not drain either. Saturday night, they must have booked a wedding party on my floor because from 1am on, they kept slamming their doors...over and over and over...finally, I got up at 3am and hit the road to go home. Dont know how to rate my stay....nice clean motel, with nice staff, but it was just not my weekend with all the weirdness. PS. Restaurant staff was great and food terrific...got coffee there once, and ate the night before I left.
