Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Room OK, Dreadful Service Checked in, went to my room but had to be asked to be moved to otherside of the hotel because of the noise of road works going on outside. Given the hotel was pretty empty (judging by the number of cars in the car park and people at breakfast) why could the staff not think to put people on the quiet side of the hotel in the first place? If they made a point of that and mentioned it at check in, guests would feel valued and looked after. Then I ordered some room service - which was a heartless process as the member of staff taking my order clearly had no interest in helping me and generally just grunted his was through the transaction. By now, it was about 8:50pm and was told it would be about 20 mins. 45 mins later, nothing had arrived so I called room service who apologised and said they'd get back to me. 20 mins later I'd heard nothing still, so I called again to be told it was on its way. They agreed to remove my order from the bill, given the long wait I'd had - only fair. Shortly afterwards there was a knock on the door and dinner arrived, now gone 10pm and 1hr 45mins after ordering. Sadly, the burger wasn't worth the wait. To top it off, when checking out in the morning, the dinner was still on the bill, so I had to explain all over again. So, hotel was fine, staff attitude and service absolutely appalling. I'm usually a fan of Holiday Inn, but I won't be going to this one again. April 16, 2015

Again hotel room cold and uncomfortable until the heater had ran over the first day but this makes for an unsettled first nights sleep. Meals are good and as mentioned the staff are very helpful and friendly. April 1, 2015
